Masks are usedto protect ourselves and others from respiratory droplets that may contain the virus. There are different types of masks available, such as surgical masks, N95 respirators, and cloth masks. Each type of mask serves a different purpose and provides varying levels of protection.Surgical masks are loose-fitting disposable masks that protect the wearer's nose and mouth from contact with droplets, splashes, and sprays that may contain germs. They also filter out large particles in the air. N95 respirators, on the other hand, are tight-fitting masks that aredesigned to achieve a very close facial fit and efficient filtration of airborne particles. They provide a higherlevel of protection compared to surgical masks and arecommonly used by healthcare workers.Cloth masks, which can be homemade or purchased, are another option for everyday use. They are not as effective as surgical masks or N95 respirators, but they can still help prevent the spread of respiratory droplets. Cloth masks should have multiple layers of fabric and fit snugly against the sides of the face without any gaps.In addition to protecting ourselves and others from the virus, wearing a mask has also become a social responsibility. 口罩的分类方法

口罩的分类方法美国 NIOSH（National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health）机构按材料的亲油性将口罩滤材区分为下列三种：1. N 系列：N 代表 Not resistant to oil，可用来防护非油性悬浮颗粒, 无时限。

2. R 系列：R 代表 Resistant to oil，可用来防护非油性悬浮颗粒及汗油性悬浮颗粒,时限八小时。

3. P 系列：P 代表 oil Proof，可用来防护非油性悬浮颗粒及汗油性悬浮颗粒,无时限。

有些颗粒物的载体是有油性时，而这些物质附在静电无纺布上会降低电性，使细小粉尘穿透，因此对于防含油气溶胶的滤料要经过特殊的静电处理，以达到防细小粉尘的目的。

另外，NIOSH又将每一类滤材按过滤效能分为95(95%)、99(99%)、100(99.97%)三种，这样三类材料各有三种过滤效能，因此共九种等级的口罩。

过滤效能95% 的N95口罩①，R95口罩，P95口罩；过滤效能99% N99口罩，R99口罩， P99口罩；过滤效能99.97% N100口罩，R100口罩， P100口罩。

上述口罩说法由美国国家职业安全卫生总署（National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health）制定。

由于生物性微粒多属非油性颗粒，因此我们日常防细菌，防流感病毒使用N级即可。

而N95口罩级即表示可防护非油性颗粒在85L/Min流量下过滤效能为95%，而N95口罩是所有认证等级中最基本的一个等级。

其他国家类N95口罩等级过滤标准：1.欧盟EN149 标准FFP1: 最低过滤效果>80% FFP2: 最低过滤效果>94% FFP2: 最低过滤效果>97% 。

欧标由欧盟标准委员会（Comité Européen de Normalisation, CEN）呼吸防护装具认证标准。
