七: The teaching procedures
Step 1 Warm-up
Free talk between the students. Review some key words and language points learned in previous units.
Show some pictures to students. Talk about their differences.
Step 2 Presentation
Use some pictures to teach new words . Let the students master the different using of the new words.
Do exercise.
Step 3 Listening
In this part ,we will finish 1b .Listen and fill in the blanks,then check the answer。

Step 4 Pair work
Let the students work in pairs. Make a dialogue like 1b,and then choose some groups to show the dialogue.
Step5 Learn how to describe people’s looks
1.Show some pictures to students, describe people’s height.
2.Show some pictures to students, describe people’s build
3.Show some pictures to students, describe people’s hair
4.Show some pictures to students, describe people’s wearing
5.Explain “is” and ”has”.
Step 6 Play a guessing game
Describe some one in the class , the other students guess “Who is he ?” Who get the right answer , Who can get a candy.
Step 7 Groupwork
Ask students to describe one of their classmates. Let other students guess who she/he is.
Step 8 Do some exercises
1.Fill in the blanks use “is ”or “has”.
2.Translate some sentences into English
Step 9 Summary
1.如何询问他人的长相:
What does he / she look like?
2. 描述他人的长相:
Height: He / She is tall / of medium height / short.
Build: He / She is thin / of medium build / heavy.
Hair: He/ She has long straight black hair…
Step 10 Homework
Write down at least five sentences to describe your friends.
