Teaching design
一、Teaching material 内容分析
本部分继续以教师带领学生参观动物园为语境呈现要学习的四个形容词:”thin, fat, short, tall”,并尝试熟练运用形容词来对动物进行描述。
在前面的Let’s talk部分已经学过”fat, tall, short”。
因此这部分应侧重词形认读的训练,强化听说、认读技能的培养,并滚动复习句型”Look at that... It’s...”。
二、Analysis of students 学情分析
本课时的教学对象是三年级的学生,他们已经积累了一定的词汇和句型,有较好的语音、语调和语言基础,并且形成了英语学习的习惯。
大部分同学对英语学习有浓厚的学习兴趣,有较强的表现欲,对新事物有强烈的好奇心和求知欲。
本课时的语境为参观动物园,那也就意味着会见到不同的小动物,孩子们学习热情高涨。
在三年级上册已经学过部分小动物的名称和句型”Look at ...”,同时三年级学生对高、矮、肥、瘦四个形容词的概念比较熟悉。
三、Teaching Aims 教学目标
1.Knowledge objectives
(1)Students can listen, say and read the words “tall short fat thin ”, and can describe animals with these words.
(2)Ss can understand “Let’s do”, and do it by themselves.
2.Ability objectives
Look at that ...
It’s tall/ short/ fat/ thin.
3.Emotion objectives
(1)Ss can describe the animal they see in the real situation.
(2)Ss can love animals and protect them.

Step 1 Warming up

通过一起唱歌谣,活跃课堂气氛,迅速把孩子的注意力拉进课堂。

创设动物园情境,让学生在情境中学习。

(设计意图:通过歌谣,一起做动作和同桌讨论,学生在强化训练中,增强对词汇的理解与运用,训练学生的思想反应能力,教师从刚开始的领着唱做到最后的彻底放手让孩子自己唱做。
同时他们不服输的个性得到彰显,竞争意识得到增强,将本节课教学推向高潮。

T: One day, a bird comes into a new forest. He thinks he is the most beautiful animal. When he meet giraffe, he says :”I’m short! I’m beautiful!”. When he meet elephant, he says :”I’m thin! I’m beautiful!”. But other animals do not think so.
