Unit 5 What does he do?
Part A 第一课时
Let's try &Let's talk
教学目标:
1.能听、说、读、写主要句型:What does your father/mother/he do? He/she is a/an…,并能在实际情景中熟练运用。

2.能够掌握三个单词“country, head, teacher”,理解三会句子:Do you want to be a head teacher, too? 并能在情景中正确运用。

3.能完成“Let's try”部分的练习。

教学重点:
能掌握四会句型:What does your father/mother do? She/ He is
a/an …
教学难点:
能够在实际情景中灵活运用所学句型日常交际。

教学准备:
人物头饰、教学光盘、课件
教学过程:
Step 1: Warm-up
1.教师出示曾经学过的职业图片,学生开火车说出表示职业的单词。

2.在复习单词的基础上,教师和学生问答有关职业的对话。

T: What's his/her job?
S: He/She is a farmer/doctor/cook/nurse.
Step 2: Presentation
1.教师介绍“Let's try”的背景,引导学生带着问题听“Let's try”部分的听力,并核对答案,再次播放听力,让学生能听懂问题的关键信息。

2.教师出示“Let's talk”部分的挂图,让学生猜一猜。

T: Who's that man?
S: He is Oliver's father.
T: What is his job?
S: He is a businessman.
T: What does he do?
S: He is a businessman.
教师板书“What does he do? He is a businessman.”,并用拆分法讲解businessman=business+man。

T: Which country is he from?
S: He is from England.
板书country。

3.教师边出示其他职业的图片,边和学生对话,并进行单词讲解,如:She is a head teacher,运用意思分解的方法讲解head teacher=head(头)+teacher(教师)=校长。

T: Do you want to be a head teacher? 引导学生回答:Yes, I do. / No,
I don't.
4.教师播放“Let's talk”部分的录音,并思考:
(1)What does Oliver's father do?
(2)What does Oliver's mother do?
核对答案,并引导听取重点信息,再次播放听力,让学生跟读,学习正确的语音语调。

Step 3:Consolidation and extension
1.二人一组,戴上人物头饰,并表演对话。

2.出示不同的图片和不同职业的单词,如taxi driver, cleaner, writer, singer, dancer, football player, 要求学生将图片和对应的职业单词或短语相连。

3.二人一组运用句型:What does he/she do? He/she is a/an…操练对话。

Step 4: Homework
跟读“Let's talk”部分的对话,并向他人介绍自己父母的工作。

板书设计:

教学反思:
本课时主要学习运用英语询问和回答职业的口语交际,通过复习以前学过的职业单词,自然过渡,引出今天所要学的有关职业的句子和单词,并通过大量的句子来练习巩固所学的重点句型,学生除了可以在课堂上练习本单元的重点句型,还可以与家长练习,这样不仅巩固了句型,也加强了学生与家长的交流。

Part A 第二课时
Let's learn &Listen, match and say
教学目标:
1.能听、说、读、写“factory worker, postman, businessman, police
officer”。

2.能运用句型“Is your father a postman? No, he isn't. What does he
do? He is a businessman.”与别人沟通交流。

3.能完成“Listen,match and say”部分练习。

教学重点:
听、说、读、写“factory worker, postman, businessman, police officer”。

教学难点:
能灵活运用所学句型来询问和回答他人职业。

教学准备:
单词卡片、教学光盘
教学过程:
Step 1: Warm-up
1.播放歌曲“What do you want to do?”学生跟唱,男女生比赛唱。

2.师生“Free talk”,如:
T: What does your father do? (展示商人的图片)
Ss: He is a businessman.
T: What does your mother do? (展示校长的图片)
Ss: She is a head teacher.
Step 2: Presentation
1.展示一个工厂的图片,并介绍:This is a factory;展示工人并介绍:
This is a worker;展示工厂里的工人图片,引导学生回答:factory
worker。

2.展示邮递员的图片,并介绍:This is a postman.板书“postman”,并
教读。

T: What does he do?
S1: He is a postman.
T: Is your father a postman?
S2: Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.
3.展示上一课时Oliver父亲的挂图,T:What does he do? Ss: He is a
businessman.板书:“businessman”,并教读。

4.展示警察的图片,Ss:What does he do? T: He is a police officer.板书
“police officer”并教读。

5.播放“Let's learn”部分的录音,学生先听一遍,然后跟读,学习正确的语音语调。

Step 3:Consolidation and extension
1.运用所学句型听“Listen, match and say”部分的内容,将人物所对应的职业选出来并核对答案,师生可运用句型对话,如:
T: What does Jiao jie's mother do?
S1:She’s a businesswoman.
T: What does Ge Nan’s father do?
S2: He's a police officer.
2.搜集所有已经学过的职业图片,同桌二人开火车,运用句型:What does he/she do? He/she is a/an…。

3.课堂小练习。

教学反思:
本课时是在学习重点句型的基础上,学习有关职业名称的单词。

老师以图片的方式直观呈现学习的单词,并将单词融入句子中,在学习句子的过程中进一步巩固单词。

本课时的重点突出,老师把握重点,不断练习句型“What does…do? He/she is a/an…”,并通过开火车问答、师生问答巩固重点。
