Lesson Let`S Do an Experiment !教学设计
一:教材分析:
本课是冀教版九年级英语第五单元第一课,本单元的中心话题是“研究科学”,整个单元的设计也是围绕“科学”展开。

本课围绕一个实验展开话题,学生学完本课应掌握本课重点词汇、学会用英语表达自己的观点,以及在认识自然现象和学习科学知识的过程中,培养科学探究精神和严谨的科学态度,从而保持学习英语和自然科学的兴趣。

二、教学目标
1.知识目标:掌握本课重点词汇及句子
2.技能目标:能听懂以谈论实验操作为话题的对话。

3.情感目标:通过本课的学习,使学生了解更多的科学知识,鼓励他们爱科学,学科学,培养学生的团结协作精神。

三、教学重难点
重点:很据步骤做实验。

难点:用英语对实验过程的描述。

四、教学方法:
教法:本课主要采用任务型教学、小组合作学习,导学案引导学习,,动手试验,多媒体辅助等教学手段。

学法:在本课的教学中,通过学生自主学习,小组内互帮互学,动手试验等方法学习新知识。

五、教学流程
Step1 Lead in (导入新课)
Use some objects that will be used to do the experiment to lead in.
Step2 Check preview(检查预习)
Spell the new words one by one.
Translate the phrases.
Step3 New Lesson
Activity One :Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.
1).That`s called __________method.
2).The ________ of the air keeps the water in the jar.
Activity Two : Read the text with following questions.(小组合作)
1) Why does Danny think they should do the experiment outside?
2) Is Jenny sure of her theory?
3)What keeps the water in the jar ?
4) What does Danny conclude?
Activity Three: How to do the experiment? (小组合作)
Divide the class into groups, read the text again . Then have a discussion about the steps of the experiment.
Activity Four: Do the experiment (展示实验)
1) Teacher gives a show, and students say steps.
2) Do in small groups.
3)Ask the volunteers to do the experiment in the front of the class and describe it in English.
Activity Five: Discussion (小组合作,展示交流)
Let Ss work in groups and have a further study of the text. Then discuss the language
points in this lesson. If necessary, help the Ss in time.
