3. Read the text by students themselves and catch the main meaning of the text .
◆教学情景导入
Good morning, class. Right now you are classmates and friends . In twenty more years, what will you be like? Are you rich or poor? Are you friends then ? I know for sure . No matter what you become, you are my students and you are friends for ever.
◆教学过程设计
Step 1. Ask the students to talk about the topic. “What will you be like in twenty more years?”
Help them if they meet trouble.
Step 2. Play the tape with the books open and the students imitate after it. Play the tape once again. Let them to catch the rhythm.
Step 3. Explain the common expressions to the students.

Step 4. Read and translate the first verse of the song , line by line. After the students know the first verse, they also know the others.
Step 5. Let the students practise singing the song and then choose some to sing the song in front of the class. Step 6. Divide the class into two groups. The groups will read the song aloud as a poem.
Step 7. Come to “Let’s Do It!” Ask them to draw themselves on a piece of paper and write some sentences about them in twenty/thirty more years. And then exchange the drawings and talk about with your partner.
Step 8. Homework. Write a short passage about you in twenty more years.

●教学反思
"读"是外语学习中获得信息的一种手段,也是外语学习者必须掌握的基本技能,因此在各类考试中阅读题必不可少。
这种阅读是在有限的时间内进行的,这就要求阅读者必须具有一定的速度和准确性。
要想达到这个标准必须改正不良的阅读方法和习惯,提高阅读效率。
有如下几点:一、跨越生词障碍二、克服逐词阅读,养成成组视读的习惯第三,读的时候要少眨眼、不摆头,只要眼球来回转动就可以了。
保持坐姿端正,书本应放到眼睛正前方,眼睛与书本距离大约一尺为宜。
这样才能保证同一适当距离、同一视角范围内尽可能多地摄入文字信息。
第四,成组视读的关键在于它既不是默读(心读)更不是朗读,而是通过目光在外语与大脑之间建立直接的联系,即外语思维。
这是一个简捷快速的过程,非经过大量阅读训练的妙手岂能偶而得之?。
