In this procedure, students review the content of the reading material in Unit 2 by retelling the passages. Students are encouraged to describe the characters by using attributive clauses.
Ask several students to retell the passages. Correct the mistakes if necessary.
A sample retelling:
Nemo and Shrek are newly-created cartoon characters who have won the hearts of young people all over the world. Nemo is a cute fish and Shrek is a huge monster. Monkey king, Tintin and Snoopy are old cartoon characters who are even popular now. Monkey King is a brave monkey who fights against the rules of Heaven. Tintin is a reporter with red hair who has been popular for
75 years. There are many fan clubs in China which have held birthday parties for Tintin. Snoopy is
a lovable dog which lives in his own private dream world. Not only children but also adults like cartoons. Cartoonists draw cartoons for every cartoon-loving person.
