Use a lifting device, such as a hoist or forkliftwith straps, to position machine upright.2. Bolt the frame brackets to the main frame withthe provided screws and hex nuts. Fingertighten only.3. The press should be placed within a well-litarea, upon a level floor, preferably concrete.Lower the press onto the floor, allowing it tostabilize on the brackets. Fully tighten the hexnuts on the frame brackets.4. The hex filler plug (see parts breakdown: item#17 for HP-5A; #8A for HP-15A; #8D for HP-35A) was installed for shipping purposes.Remove this and replace it with the providedvented plug.5. Place the end of the pump handle into thehandle socket, and secure it with the screw. 7.0 OperationRefer to Figure 1 for identification.1. Remove all items from bed plates.2. Remove table holding pins. (Support the tableframe on the HP-5A.)3. Raise or lower table frame to desired position,so that when workpiece is mounted, it will beclose to the ram press head.Model HP-5A: Raise or lower table frame byhand.Models HP-15A,-35A: Rotate crank handle toraise or lower table frame.4. Re-insert table holding pins. Pins must be fullyengaged through front and back holes of theframe.5. Place workpiece onto bed plates.Make sure workpiece is center-loaded and secure before pressing, and that table holding pins are properly inserted. Some objects may have a tendency to pop out or explode under pressure. Exercise proper precautions. 6. If desired, slide ram assembly laterally (15-and 35-ton models only) by mounting the handcrank onto the lateral shaft and rotating it. Donot attempt to slide ram during operation.7. The handwheel can be used to rapidly adjustthe ram extension screw into or out of the plunger.Note: The length of ram screw extending outof the piston should be kept as short as possible. Raise the table rather than extendthe screw to its travel limit.8. Close valve by rotating release valve handleclockwise as far as it will turn.9. Pump the handle to lower the ram until itmakes light contact with workpiece. Align theworkpiece to ensure that desired contact pointis directly beneath the press head. Slowly pump handle again until load begins to be applied to workpiece.10. Remove your hand from workpiece area andstep toward the side of the press (do not standdirectly in front of workpiece). Continue slowlypumping to complete the operation.11. When operation is complete, slowly retract ramby incrementally turning release valve handlecounter-clockwise.8.0 Maintenance•Keep the press clean, and periodically lubricate joints and moving parts with light oil. •Inspect the press before each use, for signs of damage, bent pins, missing or loose bolts, cracked welds, oil leaks, abnormal operation, and the like. Make repairs or replacements asneeded before putting the machine back intoservice.•Periodically remove filler plug (#17/HP-5A;#8A/HP-15A; #8D/HP-35A) to check that hydraulic cylinder is filled with oil.
Deluxe Gas Fireplace InsertsNever Be Cold Again!Lopi® proudly produces our high-quality line of gas fireplace inserts that complement a broad range of architectural styles and heating needs at our manufacturing plant in Mukilteo, Washington. We utilize the finest materials, and subject them to vigorous testing standards to make fireplace inserts that stand up to the rigors of time. These inserts are the best money can buy. We are proud to be passionate about the science and the art of making beautiful fire for your home.Turn Your Fireplace Into An Efficient Heat SourceOur GreenSmart® fireplace inserts are designed to transform virtually any metal or masonry fireplace into an efficient source of heat. Traditional open fireplaces can have efficiency ratings as low as 15% and depending on the condition can actually draw the heat out of your home for a net heat loss! Our heater rated gas inserts achieve steady state efficiency ratings over 90% (LP).Zone HeatingUnlike a gas furnace that ducts heat to all rooms of your home, you can use your insert for zone heating and heat only the room(s) you are using.Zone heating is all about focusing heat where people spend the most time. By turning down the thermostat on your furnace and using your gas insert as a heat source, it’s easy to save money on your home heating bill.Sealed Combustion SystemOur gas inserts are all “direct vent,” meaning that they pull combustion air from the outside of the house and not your living space. For indoor air quality, safety and performance, both combustion air and exhaust gases pass through your existing chimney via a direct vent kit.Choose The Right Model For YouYou have four gas insert models to choose from, depending on your heating needs, fireplace size and taste. There are two insert options for heating up to 1,500 square feet and two options for heating up to 2,000 square feet.Consult with your authorized Lopi® dealer to verify which insert best suits your home heating needs. Our dealers are trained, qualified professionals that can provide expert installation and service on your new gas insert.WarrantyYour gas fireplace insert is backed by your Specialty Hearth Dealer and certified factory trained installer. Lopi® warrants our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 7 years from the date of purchase. All parts, electronics, and labor are covered for a full 2 years. No other manufacturer’s warranty can compare.North America’s Favorite Gas Fireplace Inserts!34 DVL shown with Wilmington Black Painted Face, Ember-Fyre® Burner with High Definition Log Setand Herringbone Brick Fireback32 DVS shown with Black Painted Times Square™ Face, Fyre-Stone® Rock Kit andBlack Glass Fireback FEATURINGEMBER-FYRE® TECHNOLOGYThe mostrealistic gas fireavailable - so real, that Popular Science® magazine awarded the Ember-Fyre® burner one of its top 100 innovations of the year!32 DVS DeluxeDeluxe - 1,500 Square Foot HeaterThe compact dimensions of the 32 DVS make this our “go-to” insert when it comes to fitting in almost any fireplace. Load sense shuttle valve8. Proportional pressure reducing valves 9. Redundant LVDT spool sensorIntroductionASV60 advanced steering valvePrincipal of operation:The ASV60 is a two-stage proportional valve . The mainvalve is a closed-center, load sense valve which is designed to supply proportional flow to the steering application with high accuracy and ~zero hysteresis . An isolation spool is used which “isolates” the main-stage spool from the work ports . It is normally closed and piloted (to open) by an on/off solenoid valve . During normal operation, the isolation valve must remain actuated to ensure flow can be delivered to and from the work ports . By removing power to the “mode select valve” the isolation valve can be closed at any timeallowing for the isolation of the main-stage spool from the steering cylinder(s) .ASV60 will communicate with any CAN-enabled controller . The standard interface with the vehicle controller is CAN J1939 . The inclusion of CANbus communication and an onboard spool position sensor yields high precision flow control .4ASV60 SERVICE MANUAL June 2019 ASV60 T echnical specifications:Pressures Rated inlet (P Port) 210 Bar (3045psi)Max work ports (L & R Ports) 250 Bar (3625 psi)Max tank (T Port)21 Bar (305 psi)Flow @ 14bar control pressureASV60X130 lpm (7.9 gpm)ASV60X245 lpm (11.9 gpm)ASV60X360 lpm (15.9 gpm)ElectricalInput voltage12VDC (9-16 VDC)24VDC (18-32 VDC)Power/Current consumptionPilot Valve – 25 W Max Mode select valve Solenoid – 15.8 W Max CAN InterfaceJ1939, 2.0BRandom vibration***Standard IEC 60068-2-64:2008FiltrationISO 440618/16/13Pilot valve filter screen125µmActuation command optionsPilot valve flow command CAN / PWM Isolation valve commandPWMControl modesOpen loop command+/- 100% current Closed loop command+/- 100% flowElectrical interface connectorsPilot valve connectorDeutsch connector: DT14-6P Solenoid valve connectorDeutsch connector: DT04-2PElectromagnetic protectionEC Directive EMC Directive 2014/30/ECWeightStandard version (ASV60 only)8 kg (17.6 lb)Temperature*Standard oil (operating)*-30 to 90˚C (14 to 194˚F)Ambient (operating)-30 to 95˚C (-22 to 203˚F)Ambient short term (operating)-30 to 105˚C (-22 to 221˚F)* I t is recommended that the ASV60 valve is not be subjected to a thermal difference of greater than 50˚F (28˚C).Electrical environmental**Ingress protection ISO 20653: IP6k6/IPX9K Thermal cycling -30˚C to 95˚C (-22 to 203˚ F) for 1200 cyclesMechanical shockHalf-sine pulse: 40 G / 6 ms (IEC 60068-2-27 Ea)** A dditional Electrical Environmental tests were performed.
The power of CMAThe Eaton CMA advanced mobile valve’s unique features and onboard intelligence enable it to address the concrete boom oscillation issue. The CMA valve’s integrated pressure sensors and precise valve position control feedback enable the valve to provide smooth and accurate flow control above and beyond stock hydraulic valves. Additionally, this onboard sensing coupled with the independent metering capability and Eaton’s proprietary boom stability control algorithm allows the valve to counteract the induced oscillations in the boom. The CMA valve provides the boom stabilizing function without any external sensors, keeping the system simple and easy to integrate.Manual override control oneach valve is also available forcustomers requiring a redundantmeans for the safe return ofthe boom.Control system integrationSetting up communicationsbetween a machine levelsupervisory controller andelectrohydraulic componentscan often be challenging andtime consuming, but Eaton’sPro-FX Control aims to changethat. Pro-FX Control provides aplatform to quickly and efficientlygenerate application logic withEaton’s supplied control libraries, function blocks and CAN stacks. In the concrete boomapplication, the operator usesan Eaton OMNEX wirelesscontroller to control the boomposition. The OMNEX baseunit transmits the operatorcommands via J1939 CANbus to the HFX supervisorycontroller. The HFX controllerleverages the integratedOMNEX libraries to quicklyprocess operator commandsand translate them into CMAvalve commands. The CMAlibrary block packages thevalve commands and transmitsthem to the CMA valve viathe same J1939 CAN bus. Theboom stability control logic isenabled over CAN and controlledentirely on the CMA valve’sonboard controller. The HFX alsoenables custom function blocksto be written by the user toaccomplish additional functionsor control other devices from theHFX. Utilizing the Pro-FX Controlfunction blocks for this machineplatform significantly reducedthe component integrationeffort, allowing a quickturnaround for the customer.Eaton’s full suite ofcapabilitiesIn conjunction with the Pro-FXtools, the boom counterbalancevalves and manifolds are fromEaton’s leading portfolio ofscrew-in cartridge valves. Thesevalves and manifolds providethe boom load holding when themachine is static and provide theindustry standard safety backupin the event of a failed hose.A whole new level of controlThe power of Eaton’s CMA valve andPro-FX® Control application development tools combine to solve a complex machine problem quickly.By Chad Larish Concrete boom pump trucks are used to transport concrete to construct high-rise buildings and other difficult-to-access sites. Typical truck boom lengths can range from under 20 to over 60 meters(65 to 200 feet). As boom length increases, machine operational challenges also increase. In operation, as the boom is maneuvering and pumping concrete, it tends to oscillate because of the mechanical flexibility of the boom and the compliance of the hydraulic oil in the cylinders. To address the oscillation, additional workers are typically required to hold the boom tip hose and concrete pumping speed is also decreased. This, in turn, reduces machine productivity and increases the potential risk for the operators securing the boom.Boom stability controlA Dynamic Machine Control solutionEaton is a registered trademark. All other trademarks are property of their respective owners.Eaton1000 Eaton Boulevard Cleveland, OH 44122United States © 2018 EatonAll Rights Reserved Printed in USA June 2018TimeThe test shown above is a simulated pumping case, where a rope is tied to the tip of the boom and used to inject a cyclical disturbance on the boom structure, similar to pumping concrete. At the start of the test, the rope is pulled for 10 seconds and then released to measure settling time. For the baseline case, the pressure ripple, which correlates to boom movement, continues to grow in amplitude until the disturbance is removed. Even without the disturbance, the boom requires an extended period of time before it returns to the stable, starting condition. The boom stability control system, however, maintains a small pressure ripple throughout the disturbance stage, correlating to a significant reduction in boom tip movement. Additionally, any small vibrations present in the boom are quickly dampened once the disturbance is removed from the boom.HFX ControllerOMNEX Receiver CounterbalanceManifold OMNEX Remote Pressure T ransducers High ratioCBV HFXd (Position)CMA ValveThe image above represents a general architecture for the boom stability control (BSC) system on a concrete pump truck.
