New Fashion in Our School
With the national call to practice strict economy and combat waste, it has become a fashion to put an end to waste in our school.
We were required to start with small actions, such as turning off the tap immediately after using water and writing on both sides of the paper if we could. We also went to public places to promote the idea that saving today is saving the generation tomorrow.
From the activity, we have greatly raised our awareness of saving.

W: I think that our out-of-class activity this year should be in the mountains.
M: What a great idea! The students will like it very much.
W: January would be a good month for mountain climbing.
M: I like the mountain idea, but I am not so sure about the month of January.
W: Yes. Maybe another choice might be better.
M: April might be nice. We have enough time to make the necessary arrangements.
W: That sounds reasonable.
M: We should ask the students what would be the best time for them.

Text 10
I’m 21, a student at Shandong University. When I received my admission letter, I couldn’t believe it. I had been wishing to go to China for higher education. However, it was a challenge for me since I had never lived alone before. This was my first time to travel alone in my entire life. When the plane started taking off, I cried my heart out. However, to my joy, my university sent three Chinese students to pick me up from the airport. Because of my religious belief, I was worried about the food. My teacher told me that they had special canteens for the students like me. I could also cook in the dormitory kitchen. Chinese people are very considerate and respectful towards our religion. I have never been bored here. My teachers have recommended some wonderful places nearby so that I can have happy weekends by exploring new places and foods. I’ve e njoyed my first snowfall in China. I can’t express how wo nderful the environment becomes when snow falls. What has impressed me most is how our teachers care for us. When Covid-19 started, they comforted us and let us feel that we were not alone here. I am so grateful to the teachers. I’ve made the right decision. I love China!。
