②注意；关心
Don’t worry about me—I can look after myself. 别担心——我会照顾她自己的。

The doctor advised him to look after his health. 医生建议他他要注意自己的健康。

1．I'm not sure. 我不敢确定。

be sure肯定，be sure的几种用法：
be sure of（about）+名词/代词对…有把握
be sure tha t…肯定，确信
be sure to do 肯定，务必，一定
拓展：for sure 肯定的，有把握的
make sure tha t…确定，设法做到
to be sure（口语）确定，固然，的确…（后面多接but）
Father isn’t rich, to be sure, but he is a gentlman. 的确，父亲并不富有，但他是个绅士。

2．I'd like to there, too. 我也想去哪儿。

would like to do sth. 愿意做某事，想做某事= want to do sth.
would like sth. 想吃（喝，得到）某物。

3．We can't make up our minds. 我们还拿不定主意。

make up our minds,打定主意。

make up one's mind是表示下定决心的一种固定用法。

4．Will you travel by sea or by air?你们乘船去，还是乘飞机去？
这是一个选择疑问句。

by sea表示“乘船”。

by air表示“乘飞机”。

5．It may be cheaper, but it takes a long time. 可能是便宜些，但花的时间长。

由表示转折关系的连词but连接的两个简单句形成并列句。

take a long time,花很长时间。

take 花费，句型：it takes sb. sometime to do sth. 某人花费时间做某事
四、Grammar focus
情态动词表示推测：
情态助动词may表示可能性
may或might都表示“可能”、“也许”。

通常既可以用may，也可以用might，不过might所表示的可能性要比may小，且当情况是虚拟的时只能用might而不能用may。

1.may
（1）表可能性
①may 表示现在或将来的可能性：may+动词原形：
The bread may be fresh. 面包可能是新鲜的。

He may be reading. 他可能正在看书。

I may go abroad. 我可能出国。

They may offer me a job. 他们也许会给我提供一份工作。

②may 也可表示过去的可能性，过去式为：may have(done):
He was late. He may have been busy. 他迟到了。

他可能一直很忙。

I went out last night, and she may have been reading. 我昨天晚上出去了，她可能一直在看书。

It may have been right. 也可能是对的。

Thry may have been in the garden. 他们可能那时一直在花园里。

（2）表某种祈愿
May success be yours. 祝你们成功。

May you return in safely. 希望你平安归来。

（3）may have done 表示“也许曾经”
He may have missed his train. 也许他应急错过那趟火车了。

2.might
（1）表可能性
It might rain today. 今天可能下雨。

（2）其他用法
You might at least apologize. 你至少该陪个不是。

（表责备）
I might have been a rich man. 我该做到富翁了。

（表示懊悔）
