教学过程:
Step1. Warming up
1. Good morning class. How are you today?
2. Today, we will learn about “time”. Who knows what time is?
3. Let’s watch a video about telling time.
4. Do you know what time it is now? Can you tell me?
Step 2. Introducing time
1. Now, let’s talk about the basic units of time. What are they?
2. Display a clock and explain the different parts of
it (hour hand, minute hand, second hand, numbers, etc.).
3. Ask students to identify the different parts of a clock.
4. Explain that the hour hand tells us the hour, the minute hand tells us the minutes, and the second hand tells us the seconds.
5. Demonstrate how to read the time on a clock to the nearest minute.
Step 3. Practice
1. Give students various clocks and ask them to read the time.
2. Have students practice telling time in pairs or small groups.
3. Play a game where students have to race to write down the correct time after the teacher calls out a time.
Step 4. Extension
1. Ask students to draw or create their own clocks.
2. Have students write down the time on each other's clocks.
3. Have students create word problems involving time
(e.g. If a student wakes up at 7:30am and it takes them 20 minutes to get dressed, what time do they leave for school?).
Step5. Conclusion
1. Review the key points of the lesson.
2. Ask students to share any new knowledge they learned about telling time.
3. Encourage students to continue practicing telling time at home.
