During this stage, many students experience a range of psychological problems that can have serious consequences if left untreated. In this essay, we will explore the various psychological issues that college students face and the potential hazards associated with them. One of the most common psychological problems among college students is stress. The pressures of academic responsibilities, social relationships, and personal expectations can all contribute to feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. When left unchecked, chronic stress can lead to a variety of health problems, such as insomnia, digestive issues, and even depression. It can also impair cognitive function, making it difficult for students to focus and perform well in their studies.Another significant issue that many college students face is loneliness and isolation. The transition to a new environment, away from family and friends, can be challenging for some individuals. Without a strong support system in place, students may struggle to cope with feelings of loneliness, leading to increased risk of depression and other mental health disorders. Social isolation can also hinder academic performance and personal development, as students may have difficulty forming relationships and engaging in extracurricular activities. In addition to stress and loneliness, college students may also grapple with issues related to self-esteem and body image. The pressure to fit in and meet societal standards of beauty can take a toll on students' mental health, leading to low self-esteem, negative body image, and disordered eating behaviors. These issues can have long-lasting consequences, impacting students' overall well-being and academic success.Furthermore, substance abuse is a prevalent problem among college students, as many individuals turn to drugs and alcohol as a way to cope with stress and other psychological issues. While substance abuse may provide temporary relief from negative emotions, it can quickly spiral out of control, leading to addiction, impaired judgment, and serious health consequences.Substance abuse can also impact academic performance, relationships, and future career prospects.Overall, the psychological problems that college students face can have a significant impact on their well-being and success. It is essential for universities to provide adequate support services, such as counseling and mental health resources, to help students cope with these challenges. Additionally, students should be encouraged to prioritize self-care, maintain healthy relationships, and seek help when needed. In conclusion, college students face a myriad of psychological problems that can have detrimental effects on their lives. By addressing these issues proactively and seeking support when needed, students can overcome these challenges and thrive during their college years. Ultimately, it is essential for universities, students, and society as a whole to recognize the importance of mental health and take steps to promote wellness and resilience among college students.篇2The Psychological Issues and Hazards Faced by College StudentsCollege life is often portrayed as an exciting and rewarding experience, full of new opportunities for personal growth and academic achievement. However, the reality is that many college students face a variety of psychological issues that can have serious consequences on their mental health and well-being. From the stress of academic pressure to the challenges of living away from home, college students are susceptible to a range of mental health issues that can impact their ability to succeed in school and beyond. One of the most common psychological issues faced by college students is anxiety. The constant pressure to perform well academically, coupled with the demands of maintaining a social life, can lead to overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety. These feelings can manifest in physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, and insomnia, and can have a significant impact on a student's ability to concentrate, make decisions, and form healthy relationships.Depression is another common psychological issue among college students. The transition to college can be challenging for many students, as they struggle to adjust to a new environment, make new friends, and manage the increased responsibilities of living on their own. Feelings of loneliness, homesickness, andinadequacy can contribute to feelings of sadness and hopelessness, which can in turn lead to depression.Eating disorders are also a significant issue among college students. The pressure to conform to unrealistic standards of beauty and perfection can lead some students to develop unhealthy eating habits in an attempt to control their weight and appearance. This can result in serious physical and emotional consequences, including malnutrition, fatigue, and lowself-esteem.Substance abuse is another psychological issue that is prevalent among college students. The stress of college life, combined with the availability of alcohol and drugs, can lead some students to turn to substance abuse as a way to cope with their problems. This can have serious consequences on their physical health, academic performance, and relationships with others. In addition to these common psychological issues, college students also face a range of other mental health challenges, including self-esteem issues, relationship problems, and identity crises. The pressure to succeed in all areas of their lives can lead some students to feel overwhelmed and unsure of themselves, which can impact their ability to make healthy decisions and reach their full potential. It is important for college students to be aware of the psychological issues they may face during their time in school, and to seek help if they are struggling. Counseling services, support groups, and mental health resources are available on most college campuses to provide students with the assistance they need to address their concerns and improve their mental health.By acknowledging the psychological issues and hazards faced by college students, we can work together to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes mental well-being and success for all students. As we continue to raise awareness of these important issues, we can help students overcome their challenges and thrive in both their academic and personal lives.篇3The Psychological Issues and Harm of College StudentsCollege is often seen as a time of joy, freedom, andself-discovery. However, it is also a time when many students face a wide range of psychological issues that can have seriousconsequences. These issues can be caused by a variety of factors, including academic pressure, social relationships, financial stress, and the transition to adulthood. In this article, we will explore some of the most common psychological issues faced by college students and the potential harm they can cause. One of the most prevalent psychological issues faced by college students is anxiety. The pressure to do well academically, make friends, and figure out their future can lead to overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety. This can manifest in symptoms such as panic attacks, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating. If not addressed, anxiety can have a significant impact on a student's ability to succeed in school and to enjoy their college experience.Depression is another major issue that affects many college students. The feelings of loneliness, homesickness, and uncertainty about the future can contribute to a sense of hopelessness and despair. Depression can make it difficult for students to get out of bed, attend class, or socialize with others. Left untreated, depression can lead to self-harm, substance abuse, and even suicide.Substance abuse is a common coping mechanism for college students dealing with psychological issues. Many students turnto drugs and alcohol to escape their problems and numb their emotions. While this may provide temporary relief, it can quickly spiral out of control and lead to addiction, health problems, and legal issues.Eating disorders are another serious psychological issue that affects many college students. The pressure to look a certain way, combined with stress and low self-esteem, can lead to disordered eating habits such as binge eating, purging, or restricting food intake. Eating disorders can have serious consequences for a student's physical and mental health, and may require professional treatment to overcome. The constant comparison to others on social media can also exacerbate psychological issues for college students. Seeing their peers posting about their achievements, relationships, and experiences can lead to feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and low self-worth. This can harm a student's self-esteem and mental well-being, as they constantly strive to measure up to unrealistic standards. In conclusion, the psychological issues faced by college students can have serious consequences if left unchecked. It is important for universities to provide resources and support services for students struggling with mental health issues. It isalso vital for students to prioritize their well-being and seek help when needed. By addressing these issues proactively, we can create a healthier and more supportive environment for college students to thrive and succeed.。

This semester, we studied the course of College Students' health education. After several weeks of study, I learned a lot about college students' health. The study of these knowledge will help us better understand the health problems e_isting in current college students.College students are the best selected from a large number of middle school students, and have a strong sense of superiority and pride in psychology. But at the same time, college students are under greater pressure and challenges. College students tend to think highly of themselves and are easily frustrated, resulting in a series of mental health problems. Compared with physiology, mental health is particularly important, so we only talk about psychological problems.Mental health can promote the all-round development of college students. Healthy psychological quality is not onlythe basic requirement for the all-round development of college students, but also an important condition for going to society, giving full play to their intellectual level in their jobs, actively engaging in socialactivities and constantly developing to a higher level in the future. A full understanding of the harmonious development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor is based on healthy psychological quality. A person's mental health directly affects and restricts the realization of all-round development.Mental health is an important guarantee for college students to master cultural and scientific knowledge. With a good attitude, they can not only achieve good learning results, but also benefit their lifelong development. Only the combination of healthy psychological quality and healthy physiological quality, coupled with theinteraction of other enterprising factors, college students will have reliable internal conditions for success. E_cellent psychological quality plays an important role in improving the overall quality of young students,so I feel I have benefited a lot after learning this course, which has played a positive role in my futurelife.Thank you!心理健康主题英语演讲稿二Teachers and students:The topic of my speech today is: mental health is real health.Human health is half physical health and half mental health. In daily life, people often pay attention to physical health and ignore mental health. In modern society, the competition is fierce, the burden of study or work is heavy, the pace of life is accelerating, the communication between people is increasing, and the interpersonal relationship is comple_. More and more people have psychological problems, andtheir mental health is greatly threatened or damaged. Some people are mild, others are serious. Around us, some people are moody, sometimes enthusiastic, sometimessilent and unhappy; Some people have a hot temper, often get angry for no reason, resent trivial things, and even quarrel with others; Some people feel lonely, depressed, pessimistic and disappointed, do nothing all day, infatuated with Internet cafes, often late and absent fromschool, and are seriously tired of learning; Some people have low self-esteem and fragile psychology. They always feel inferior to others and can't afford setbacks or failures; Some people are conceited, arrogant, arrogant, and harsh to others. They refuse to accept other people's well intentioned criticism and advice, have a strong rebellious psychology, and have serious antagonism with colleagues, teachers, classmates and parents. All these are closely related to people's mental health. Mental health, in a small sense, affects the success or failure of an e_am and the outcome of a game;Generally speaking, it affects people's work, study and life, the harmony of classes and schools, and thestability of society.People's emotions are related to whether people's needs can be met, but people's needs are always unsatisfied. This requires people to be good at removing psychological obstacles and be able to control and stabilize their emotions. We should develop a love of life and a positive attitude towards life, and establish lofty ideals and beliefs. Only in this way can we be cheerful, have a broad vision and a happy mood, and be not arrogant in victoryand discouraged in defeat.Teachers and students, let's pay attention to mental health while paying attention to physical health, be a comprehensive and healthy person, and jointly create a healthy and harmonious campus.Thank you!心理健康主题英语演讲稿三Dear teachers and studentsGood evening, everyone!Referring to "mental health", I have to think of: Recently, a student of __ University poisoned his roommate, a student of __ Aviation University died of "se_ual asphy_ia", and two campus "abnormal deaths" occurred in a week. This has to make us reflect. Facing life, why are some people positive and enthusiastic, others negative and indifferent? In the face of failure, why do some people lose and fight again and again, and some people never recover? In the face of life, why are some people active and others passive?Wenchuan earthquake, Ya'an Lushan earthquake, in the face of major disasters, in the modern society with constant crisis, as students, what kind of mentalityshould we face? As teachers, what ways can we help our classmates improve their psychological quality?College students are a group with mature body and perfect psychology. Our college students believe that they can take responsibility, be independent and make their own decisions. However, in reality, college students will face many problems, such as learning, life, love, making friends, choosing a job, etc., and their psychological immaturity makes the students confused and confused. What should I do? I think when we encounter difficulties and setbacks, as long as we have a positive cognitive style, positive emotional e_perience, positive will, action and personality quality, and as long as we have the golden key of "optimistic thinking", we will find a better solution.Let's take positive action and nourish our hearts with love. Finally, I wish teachers good health and students success in their studies!thank you!心理健康主题英语演讲稿四hello everyone!Facing the sea, with warm flowers in spring, you describe your spiritual home like a peach blossom land. We think your heart is sunny, and we think your life is full of peach blossoms. But we didn't e_pect that you would make that choice! How many people shake their wrists and sigh for you, and how many people secretly cry for you. You,an e_perienced genius, leave beautiful poems for the world, but you sleep on the cold tracks. Pathetic, Haizi. We can read your poems, but we can't read your melancholy.Perhaps, your melancholy eyes often tell of your dissatisfaction with life and helplessness to emotion. But why don't you show your inner world to your relatives or friends? Is it distrust of them? Or are you used to chewing your loneliness alone? We don't understand. You can write countless classics, but you can't tell your inner depression? We also don't agree that you use the way of suicide to talk about your crying heart. Some people say that you are a person with mental illness. But I said, you are a closed person. Inner closure makes you unable to see the sunshine outside, so that you will only hide in a dark corner and drink tears alone. Now, recalling you who have gone with the wind, we can only sigh.Recently, I often think that it is important for a person to have a healthy body, but it is more important to have a healthy mind. Otherwise, it will be an instant to destroy a strong body. On the contrary, the body is incomplete and the heart is perfect, but you can live a beautiful life. Those who are depressed because of a temporary setback, those who abandon themselves because of the so-called lovelorn, those who are depressed and always have a cloudy face, may have a new change.Thank you!心理健康主题英语演讲稿五Dear teachers and studentshello everyone!Students, do you love yourself? The treasure of a person's life is his own, and his career is how to manage himself. Although life has an end, life is boundless;Life can be easy, but life should be serious; Goals can be achieved one by one, but self realization is endless.People should first love themselves. Loving themselvesis the beginning of loving everything. Love yourself to love others, love the collective, love life. As the proud son of the times and the pillar of the future society, we shoulder the important task of history. However, the confusion of life, the trouble of growth and the pain of failure are always haunting us. Paying attention to our own mental health, enhancing the awareness of mental health and improving the ability of psychological adjustment are the premise and foundation for us to mature and bear social responsibility. Therefore, on the occasion of the arrival of mental health week, we advocate such a life philosophy to all students in the school: cherish ourselves, care for others, and strive to build a harmonious soul, harmonious campus and harmonious society. Use your young heart to feel the vitality of life, feel the peace of mind, e_perience the harmony of interpersonal communication, e_perience the warmth of human true feelings, enjoy the happiness of physical and mental health and enjoy a better life!Students, we are angels with only one wing. Embracing each other can spread our wings and fly! Who doesn't learn to grow up while getting hurt? Let our hearts be moretolerant, more moved and more strong, let us be full of confidence and respect for life, let us cross the hesitation, throw away the distress, release the sadness and face up to failure; Let the heart be firm as a rock and unswerving; Let the heart be as tough as a cable and indomitable; Let the heart be pure as crystal, wash and decontaminate _; Let the heart burn like a flame andignite life!Thank you!心理健康主题英语演讲稿六hello everyone!College students are in the stage of youth. 大学中遇到的困难和解决方法英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Big Challenges of College and How to Beat ThemHi everyone! Today I'm going to tell you all about the tricky stuff you might face when you go to college. College is like big kid school - it's where you go after high school to learn even more things and get super smart. But it can also be really hard sometimes! Let me explain some of the biggest problems and how you can win against them.First up, there's the studying. Oh man, the studying in college is no joke! You have to read a ton of big, difficult books and understand all kinds of confusing ideas. Sometimes the books are so boring that you'll want to fall asleep while reading them. But you can't do that or you'll fail your classes! Instead, you have to find ways to make studying fun. Maybe you can pretend you're a detective trying to solve a mystery from the clues in the books. Or you can make up silly songs about the things you need to memorize. Whatever works for you to learn everything without getting too bored or tired.Another huge struggle is all the writing you have to do. Professors love to assign huge papers and essays on every subject. You'll end up writing so much that your hand gets sore from holding a pencil for too long! The hardest part is making sure you don't accidentally copy someone else's words - that's called plagiarism and it's like cheating. You have to be careful to always use your own thoughts and cite your sources correctly. My advice is to start writing way before the due date so you have plenty of time. And don't be afraid to ask your professor for help if you get really stuck!Probably the toughest challenge, though, is money problems. College is super expensive - those big books cost a fortune, and so do all the other fees. A lot of students run out of money for things like food and rent. That's why you have to be really careful with saving up and budgeting. It's smart to get a part-time job to earn some cash, but don't work too much or your grades could suffer. You can also save money by buying used textbooks, cooking affordable meals, and looking for student discounts. It's all about being responsible with your money so you don't go broke. And let's not forget about the loneliness many students face. It can be incredibly hard being away from your family andchildhood friends for the first time. You might get homesick and feel really sad. That's totally normal, but you can't let it drag you down. The best solution is to make new friends at college. Join some clubs or sports teams to meet people with similar interests. Having a crew of buddies to hang out with makes college way more fun. And be sure to call your family back home frequently so you don't lose touch! There are plenty of other obstacles in college too, like picking the right classes, dealing with horrible roommates, and feeling stressed all the time. But if you face those troubles with determination, they'll just make you stronger! Remember, the key is to take things one step at a time, work hard, and ask for help when you need it. As long as you do that, you'll conquer any challenge and graduate in no time!Well, that's all the wisdom I can share about college for now. Just wait until you're a little older and I'll teach you about things like frat parties, terrifying professors, and all-nighters spent chugging energy drinks and cramming. Those will be fun stories! But for today, I hope I could give you an idea of what to expect from college life. Study hard, save your pennies, and get pumped - those are your tips for success! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇2When You Get to University: The Tough Stuff and How to Deal With ItHi friends! Today I'm going to tell you all about the hard things that happen when you go to university, and what to do so they don't mess you up too much. University is super fun and you learn a ton, but it can also be really tough sometimes. The first big problem is being on your own for the first time without your parents around. At university, there's nobody to wake you up, make you breakfast, help you with your homework, or remind you to take a shower. You have to do everything yourself! I heard about this kid named Johnny who loved video games so much that he didn't shower for two whole weeks. Yuck! The trick is to make a schedule for yourself and stick to it. Write down when you need to wake up, eat meals, go to class, study, and even shower. Having a plan will keep you on track. It's also a good idea to go to bed at a regular time instead of staying up all night like some university kids do. Getting enough sleep is super important.Another hard thing is having way more schoolwork and responsibilities. In elementary school we had a little homework, but at university the homework never ends! You have to read thick textbooks, write long papers, study for major tests, and more. If you fall behind, it piles up like crazy. The best way to handle this is to start assignments as soon as you get them. Don't put them off until the last minute! Review your notes regularly instead of cramming. And go to all your classes - the professors teach you important stuff you need to know for the tests.Money problems can also be really stressful. Tuition fees are super expensive, and you might have rent, groceries, and other bills to pay if you live on your own. Some students get so stressed about money that they drop out.If you're short on cash, look for a part-time job on campus like working at the library or cafeteria. Apply for scholarships, grants, and financial aid too. Pack inexpensive lunches instead of buying pricey meals every day. Making a budget and sticking to it is key so you don't go broke.Feeling homesick is another huge bummer that tons of university students struggle with, especially at first. You miss your family, your house, your hometown. Everything seems strange and different. Some people get crazy homesick and even want to quit university. The cure for homesickness is to stay busy and make your new place feel like home. Join some clubs or sports teams so you can make new friends. Decorate your dorm room with stuff you love. Go explore your university town and find your new favorite hangout spots. Call or FaceTime your family regularly too so you don't feel so far away.Another scary thing is being around so many new people you don't know, like roommates and classmates. Navigating all the new social situations can be intimidating and awkward, especially if you're on the shy side. The fix is to start small and be brave. Make an effort to be friendly and introduce yourself. Ask people questions about themselves so you can find common interests. Suggest getting a bite to eat or studying together. Before you know it, you'll start making new friends. So those are some of the biggest struggles kids face at university. As you can see, most of them come down to suddenly having way more freedom and responsibility than you're used to. No parents looking over your shoulder anymore! It can be rough, but hang in there. The key things are to make a schedule and stick to it, start work right away and stay on top of it, get a job if you needmoney, do things to fight homesickness, and keep putting yourself out there socially. If you plan ahead and are disciplined, you can conquer any challenges!University may seem super hard at first, but it's an amazing chance to learn and grow. Don't be afraid - with some smart strategies, you'll thrive! Let me know if you need any other university survival tips.篇3My First Big Struggles in College LifeHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I just started college last month and boy, has it been really hard! College is nothing like elementary school. I wanted to share some of the biggest troubles I've run into so far and how I've been dealing with them. The biggest issue has definitely been all the homework and studying. In elementary school, I only had a little bit of homework each night. But now I have piles of homework from all my different classes - math, science, English, history, and more! The assignments are super long and take me hours to finish. I've had to stay up really late a bunch of nights working on everything.Another really hard part has been understanding what all the professors are talking about. Their lectures are really advanced and they use lots of big fancy words I've never heard before. I get lost pretty quickly when they start going into the details of a topic. I've already fallen behind in keeping up with the material in some of my classes.Living on my own in the dorms has also been an adjustment. My roommate snores like a lawnmower all night long, so I haven't been sleeping well. Plus, I really miss my mom's delicious home-cooked meals. The dining hall food is pretty gross if you ask me!I was feeling really overwhelmed and stressed out for the first few weeks. I even thought about dropping out! But I've come up with some good strategies to help me get through this rough start. For dealing with all the homework, I've started getting up extra early before my morning classes. I set my alarm for 5am now so I can work on assignments for a couple hours before I have to go to class. It's tough waking up while it's still dark out, but those early morning hours are when I can concentrate the best.I've also started meeting with a tutor a couple times a week to help me understand the course material better. We go over things I'm having trouble with and she re-explains it in a way that makes more sense to me. The tutoring has really helped me start catching up in my classes. To help me sleep better at night, I got myself a white noise machine and some earplugs. That blocks out most of my roommate's annoying snoring so I can finally get some solid rest. And on the weekends, I've been going home to visit my parents just so I can get some home-cooked meals and snuggle with my dog for a little bit.College hasn't been easy, that's for sure. But I'm slowly getting the hang of things with some adjustments to my schedule and study habits. I've still got so much more to learn and lots of classes ahead of me. But if I can make it through this rocky start, I know I'll be just fine for the rest of my years here. Wish me luck!!篇4College Can Be Hard, But I Can Do It!College is a really big step up from elementary school. When I first started, I found lots of new challenges that made me feelworried and unsure at times. But I've learned that with hard work and the right mindset, I can get through anything! One of the biggest difficulties was managing my time properly. In elementary school, my teachers told me exactly what to do and when. But in college, I'm in charge of my own schedule. At first, I really struggled to get all my work done on time while still having freedom to hang out with friends.I remember feeling super stressed when I had three huge assignments all due around the same time. I wasn't used to juggling that many important tasks at once. I kept procrastinating and leaving things until the last minute. Then I'd be up late at night rushing to finish everything. I turned in sloppy work that I wasn't proud of, and my grades suffered.Clearly, I needed to make a change in how I approached my responsibilities. I started using a planner to write down all my assignments with their due dates. I made a schedule where I dedicated blocks of time specifically for studying and working on projects. I also started working on things farther in advance instead of waiting until the last minute. It took some practice, but eventually I got much better at time management. Now when I have a lot of work, I don't panic. I calmly look at everything I need to do and plan out how I'll get itall done step-by-step. My grades have improved a lot since I learned how to use my time wisely.Another tricky part of college was understanding my professors' expectations and teaching styles. In elementary school, if I didn't understand something, I could always raise my hand and ask the teacher to explain it a different way. Professors aren't like that - they just keep going with their lectures.I remember sitting in my chemistry class feeling completely lost because the professor used a ton of unfamiliar vocabulary without defining any of it. His explanations were super technical and complex. I didn't want to sound dumb, so I never raised my hand to ask for clarification. This meant I fell further and further behind until I was totally confused.I knew I had to be more proactive and self-advocate, even if it made me nervous. I went to my professor's office hours and he was actually really nice! He patiently reworked some of the examples from class until I understood the core concepts. He also gave me advice on teaching myself definitions for unfamiliar terms. Now, I'm not afraid to speak up if I need something explained a different way. I'll ask questions in class or schedule meetings during office hours. If a teaching style doesn't work forme, I'll seek out other resources like free tutors and online videos.Making new friends was another big hurdle when I started college. Back in elementary school, I already knew lots of kids in my classes. But here, I didn't know anyone at first. The school was so huge and everyone seemed to already have their own friend groups. I felt really lonely and left out those first few weeks.Looking back, I realized I was being too shy and not putting myself out there enough. You have to be the one to introduce yourself and start conversations. Once I started doing that more, I met lots of fun, friendly people!I joined a couple of clubs that aligned with my interests, like reading club and art club. That automatically gave me things in common to discuss with other members. Pretty soon I had a nice group of friends to hang out with between classes.College has definitely been an adjustment, but I've grown so much as a person already. I learned to manage my time, advocate for my learning needs, and put myself out there to make friends. There have been struggles, but each time I face a new challenge, I know I have the tools to persevere and overcome it.I'm proud of myself for handling the transition to college maturely. If I can do it, you can too! The difficulties were hard at first, but stepping out of my comfort zone made me so much stronger. I can't wait to see what other opportunities for growth college has in store. Bring it on!篇5College is Super Hard But I Have Some IdeasWow, college is really really difficult! When you get to university, there are so many new challenges that can make your head spin. I'm still just a kid, but I've heard all about the struggles from my older cousins and neighbors who have gone away to get their degrees. Let me tell you about some of the biggest problems they faced and how they managed to get through it all.One of the toughest things is being on your own for the first time. In college, there are no parents or teachers watching over you anymore. You have to do everything yourself - wake up on time, get to class, do all your homework and studying, make all your meals, keep your room clean, and so much more. My cousin Jimmy said it was really overwhelming at first having that much freedom and responsibility. He used to sleep through his morning classes because he stayed up too late playing videogames! What helped him was making a schedule and routine for himself. He set alarms to wake up, pre-made his lunches, and gave himself strict times for studying versus fun activities. Staying organized is key.Another big deal is how challenging the schoolwork becomes. High school was a piece of cake compared to college! The classes move way faster, the assignments are longer and harder, and your professors expect so much more from you. A lot of kids aren't used to putting in that level of effort. My friend Maria told me she had a terrible first semester because she underestimated how much work she'd have to do. She was always cramming at the last minute and ended up getting poor grades. For her second semester, she went to the tutoring center to learn better study habits like starting way ahead, taking good notes, and spending more time reviewing content over many days. Developing strong study skills makes a huge difference. On top of the academics, there's the whole social side of college that's brand new too. You're meeting people from all over the place with different backgrounds than you. My neighbor Josh said it was awkward at first because everyone was coming out of their shells and figuring out their new friend groups. He overcame that by making an effort to stayopen-minded, be friendly to everyone, and get involved in clubs. Joining the video gaming club helped him make close friends who shared his interests right away. Putting yourself out there is important. Then there are also little lifestyle hurdles like being surrounded by temptations (junk food, video games, partying) and having to be way more independent with money management, transportation, doing laundry, etc. For temptations, the key is moderation - you can still enjoy fun stuff in reasonable amounts if you don't go overboard. And for all those little life skills, it's really just a matter of practice and getting into good habits. Eventually it becomes second nature.Living on your own in college definitely requires a big adjustment. But if you develop self-discipline, figure out what works best for your personality in terms of schedules and habits, take advantage of all the resources on campus, and meet new people, you can overcome anything! My cousins and neighbors said the first year was really rocky, but by sophomore and junior year, they had it down pat. Getting through that challenging transition makes you grow up so much. I can't wait for my turn at college! Just gotta get through middle school and high school first...篇6University is Super Hard But I Found Ways to Make it BetterWow, university was really really tough for me at first. It was nothing like elementary school or even high school. Everything was just so much more difficult and challenging. I struggled a lot, especially in my first year. But don't worry, I figured out some good tips to help make university easier, and I'm going to share them with you!The biggest problem I had was keeping up with all the homework, projects, papers, and studying for tests. In elementary school, we didn't have that much homework. And in high school, while there was more work, it was still nothing compared to university. Suddenly I had assignments due for multiple classes every single week! It was overwhelming trying to get it all done on time.My first solution was to get really organized and plan out my time carefully each week. I bought a big calendar and wrote down all my assignment due dates and exam dates for each class. Then I worked backwards from those deadlines to plan when I needed to start working on each thing. It helped me see everything I had to do laid out in front of me.I also started using to-do lists and set small goals for myself each day of what I wanted to get done. Instead of just vaguely thinking "I need to work on that paper" I gave myself a specific goal like "write 500 words for the paper today." Having small stepwise goals made my work feel much more manageable.Another thing that really helped me was finding good places to study and work productively. My dorm room had too many distractions like my video games and snacks. The library was okay, but sometimes too quiet and boring. I discovered some excellent study spots around campus though, like certain coffee shops or the student union building. Finding the right environment where I could concentrate but not be too isolated made a big difference.Making friends and forming study groups was another lifesaver. At first I tried to do everything alone and just could not keep up. But then I started working with other students in my classes. We quizzed each other, shared notes, and helped explain concepts to each other. Having friends go through the same struggles made me feel less alone and stressed. It's so much easier when you have a support network.I also had to learn to take breaks and not overwork myself into the ground. In high school I could sometimes pull anall-nighter before a big test if I needed to cram. But that definitely doesn't work in university - I tried it a few times and could barely function the next day. Taking short breaks to recharge was so important for avoiding burnout. I started scheduling in short 15-minute breaks every couple of hours to stretch, grab a snack, or scroll on my phone. It helped me stay focused during my work periods.Speaking of recharging, getting enough sleep was huge. I know it's tempting to stay up late hanging out with friends or gaming, but getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night made a massive difference in my energy levels and productivity. When I was well-rested, I could pay attention better in class, retain more information, and get more quality work done.Diet and exercise were also key for managing my stress and anxiety. I started making an effort to eat more fruits, veggies, and healthy snacks from the dining hall. Staying hydrated and avoiding too much junk food gave me more consistent energy. And even just doing something small like going for a 30-minute walk or hitting the campus gym for a workout helped clear my mind whenever I felt overwhelmed. The last big challenge I want to mention is dealing with feeling homesick and struggling with my mental health at times.Being on my own for the first time, far away from home, could get really lonely. And the immense academic stress really started getting to me some semesters. Whenever I started feeling down or struggling with my mental health, I made sure to talk to someone - a friend, my family, or the university counseling services. Keeping those lines of communication open was vital for not letting myself spiral. So in summary, here are my top tips for making it through university:Get super organized and plan out your timeFind your best study spotsMake friends and form study groupsTake breaks to avoid burnoutPrioritize sleep, diet and exerciseTalk to others when you feel overwhelmedUniversity is definitely no joke - it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life so far. But sticking to those strategies really paid off for me. I hope sharing my experiences can help make it a little easier for you when you reach that stage of your education.Just remember, it's challenging but absolutely possible to get through it! Wishing you all the best!。

大学生就业问题之我见My View on Employment Problems of CollegeStudents大学英语作文Nowadays, the difficulty of college students for employment has been brought to the attention of the public. Not only the studentsthemselvesworry about it but also the government concerns about. There are some researches show that both the employee and employer should take the responsibility.如今,大学生就业难已经引起了公众的注意。

不仅学生自己担心政府也担忧。

有研究表明,出现这个问题员工和雇主都应承担责任。

First of all, college students do not master the knowledge their major require. Some students regard the school as a place for enjoyment. Their aim at college is to get the diploma instead of learning something. They often play computer games or sleep in the dormitory or go out to play with friends. As a result, they learn little from college. So they can’t qualify the job they applying for, which makes the employmentdifficult. On the other side, many employers always want the students are full of experience so that they can make contribution to the company right away. In other words, they regard experience more important that knowledge. At the end, they always think that the graduates are not good enough to satisfy their requirement.首先,大学生没有掌握好专业所要求的知识。

SampleJob Problems for GraduatesCollege graduates find it increasingly difficult to get a rewarding job. One reason perhaps is that many colleges and universities fail to adapt their courses to the development of economy. Second, there is an oversupply of graduates in certain specialties. What should be done to solve this problem? To begin with, the colleges should get students out of the ivory tower and have their courses meet the needs of industry and business so as to suit the on-going development of the national economy. Second, the government should provide college graduates with more opportunities to develop new skills. The third solution, I think, is to adopt strong measures of birth control because the greater the population, the less the opportunity for everyone to get a job. 作文模式Model 1: Problem-solutionWriting 12005年Directions: Write an essay of 160-200 words based on the following drawing. In your essay, you should first describe the drawing, then interpret its meaning and give your comment on it.1. 养老“足球赛”Model CompositionA “Football Match” of Taking Care of ParentsAs is illustrated in the cartoon, the four children are playing a “football match”, however, the “ball” is their old father. While the eldest son kicks his father out, his younger brothers and sister are serving as “goalkeepers”, trying to keep their father out of their “goals”.There is no denying that this picture reveals a common yet serious problem in our country. In the first place, many young people are enjoying a comfortable life, but they regard their parents as burdens. In the second place, their parents have grown so physically weak that they cannot support themselves. If their children don‟t take care of them, they will be reduced to utter poverty. Last but not least, to be kind to one‟s p arents is the height of virtue in our tradition. As far as I am concerned, we should do something to prevent such an evil phenomenon from happening again. To begin with, all the society should condemn such a wrongdoing and these children should be pun ished by law. What‟s more, every citizen must realize it is our duty to support our parents when they are old. Only with the joint efforts can we hope to solve thisproblem.Writing 2 Our Right Attitudes Toward AnimalsY our essay should meet the requirements below:1)Describe the cartoon and deduce the purpose of the drawer of the cartoon;2)State the negative effects of eating wild animals; and3)Give your suggestion as to how to solve the problem. As is depicted in the cartoon, both the cat and snake are on the table, with tears in their eyes, waiting to be eaten by humans. Through this picture, the drawer condemns the eating of wild animals and calls for our sympathy for and protection of them.Eating wild animals gives rise to a lot of negative effects. In the first place, as many wild animals carry viruses or parasites, when we eat them, the viruses or parasites enter our bodies, thus causing a lot of illnesses. The severe acute respiratory syndrome is a case in point. It was reported that the virus derived from a “delicious” animal and the disease has claimed thousands of lives throughout the world and brought great damages to p eople‟s properties. In the second place, since animals are an indispensable part of our environment, the extinction of some animals may disturb the natural balance. Last but not least, eating wild animals is cruel. After all, wild animals are our close friends.Since eating animals causes so many harms,we should work together to put an end to the problem. On the one hand, the government should make stricter laws to prohibit people from eating wild animals, just as our government has been doing. On the other hand, all the people should realize the harms of eating wild animals and refrain from doing so. Only through these measures can we hope to solve the problem.Writing 3There is a discussion in the newspaper about the employment problems of college graduates. According to a recent survey, many graduates will be unable to find a job. Y ou should write a letter to the newspaper to1)Explain the statistics in the table;2)Give the reasons for the phenomenon,and3)Propose your suggestions as to how to solve the problem.Employment Problems of College GraduatesAs is demonstrated in the table, more and more college graduates are out of a job in our country, which is a serious problem to our economic development and social security as well as a hindrance to our building a “harmonious society”. It is estimated that in 2005, there will be 1,000,000 unemployed graduates, more than twice the number in 2002.There are several reasons for this phenomenon. In the first place, as the enrollment of college students has grown by more than 30% annually since 1998, more and more students are thrown into the labor market. However, our annual GDP growth has been about 8%. Therefore, the supply of labor exceeds the demand, hence a shortage of positions. In the second place, many graduates do not want to work in medium-sized and small cities or towns where they are most needed. Instead, too many of them crowd in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou. Last but not least, the knowledge of many students is out of date. As a result they cannot meet the requirements of the factories and companies.Serious as the problem seems, we can come up with some measures to deal with it. On onehand, the government should develop our national economy more rapidly, creating more job opportunities. On the other hand, the college students must be realistic in choosing jobs. It is reported in the newspaper that many graduates went to the West of our country to pursue their career in 2003. With the joint efforts of all of us, the unemployment problem will surely be solved soon.Writing 4 2000年Y our essay should meet the requirements below:1) Describe the pictures.2) Deduce the purpose of the drawer of the pictures.3) Suggest counter-measures.As is shown in the pictures, we can see clearly that with the increase of commercial fishing, the number of fish sharply decreased. In one picture, there were various kinds of fish and only one fishing-boat in 1900. On the contrary, in 1995 there was only one fish, but many fishing-boats.The purpose of this picture is to show us that due attention has to be paid to the decrease of ocean resources. Owing to over fishing, the number of fish has obviously dropped. If we let this situation go as it is, we won…t know where fish is in the future. By that time, our environment will suffer a great destruction. Therefore, it is imperative for us to take drastic measures. For one thing, we should appeal to our authorities to make strict laws to control commercial fishing. For another, we should enhance the awareness of people that the ocean resources are vital to our survival. Only in this way can we protect our ocean resources. Also, I believe that we human beings can overcome this difficulty, and we will have a bright future.Writing 5The Harmfulness of Smoking1)Describe the cartoon;2)State the harms of smoking;3)Give your suggestions as to how to solve the problem. As is shown in the cartoon, when the man is enjoying the cigarette, the smoke becomes a monster which will devour him. This picture tells us vividly that smoking is harmful to people. The harmfulness of smoking can be illustrated in three aspects. To begin with, smoking does harm to people‟s health. It is common k nowledge that many deadly diseases derive from smoking. Take my neighbor, Lao Wang, as an example. He has been smoking cigarettes for nearly 30 years and during the recent check-up, doctors told him that he suffers from lung cancer. His days are numbered. Much as he likes smoking, he decides to give it up to stop the illness worsening. In addition, smoking costs a lot of money. It is estimated that tens of billions of yuan is spent on cigarettes every year in our country, which is a huge waste. Last but not least, smoking may cause fire. Do you still remember the big fire in the Northeast of our country which caused serious damages to people‟s lives and properties?Serious as the problem seems, we can come up with some ways to deal with it. For one thing, the government should make stricter rules to prohibit smoking in public places, imposing higher fines on smokers. For another, all the smokers should give up smoking for the sake of themselves and those around them.Writing 6 1998年Y our essay should meet the requirements below:1) Write out the messages conveyed by the cartoon.2) Give your comments.Model Composition lThe past several years have witnessed a phenomenon that a variety of promises have been arising from all walks of life. Regrettably, quite a lot of promises are sheer nonsense, just as the hen in the given cartoon commits herself to laying eggs which are round without any angles and corners and have shells, egg whites and yolks.Odd and funny as they sound, such false promises can be seen and heard everywhere in our country. Administration departments claim to perform their tasks effectively and fairly without taking any bribes; manufacturing units guarantee to turn out products of good quality; commercial enterprises swear to provide genuine commodities and enthusiastic services. Can you find anything new and substantial other than their obligations, duties and jobs in these so-called promises? I guess your answer will be negative. As a matter of fact, their intention to make such commitments is nothing but to put on civilized outer clothing to please or deceive the public.I dare say that our society is suffering corruption and cheat which are causing damage to society both materially and morally. But the hen and her like should know that by dishonest words no one could survive the intense competition in the market economy. They should remember the old saying,"Honesty is the best policy".Model Composition 2Here is an interesting cartoon: With her head held high, maybe singing, a hen stands proudly in the center of the picture with a notice in her hand, which says that she promises to lay eggs that are like any normal egg. It…s so ridiculous that we can…t help laughing. But after that there must be something for us to think.Recently, many promises have come up in many walks of life, especially in the service departments. They promise that they will provide you with warm smile service and good products. At first you are moved nearly to thank them. But if you think twice, you may wonder if those should be their duties. It goes without saying that factories should produce goods of quality; department stores should serve customers politely; buses should arrive on time, and so forth, because all of these are their responsibilities. But why should they promise what are their due jobs? One reason may be that they want to correct their past mistakes under the planned economic system. Another reason is that they intend to improve their images and please the customers. In my opinion, trying to be better is worth welcoming, but making empty and false promises is unacceptable. If factories, companies, stores and administrations do their jobs well rather than talk nonsense, our society will be more prosperous.Writing 7Homework1) Give your understanding of the symbolic meaning of the picture;2) State the harms of the phenomenon;3) Tell how to solve the problem. As can be clearly seen from the cartoon, the mahjong pieces occupy most part of the desk, while a book, an exercise book and a pencil box lie at the corner. This picture vividly tells us how poor the condition is for the child to study. This phenomenon gives rise to a lot of negative effects. In the first place, while the parentsare playing mahjong, they make a lot of noise, which disturbs the child‟s study. How can a child concentrate on his study in such a poor condition? In the second place, the child will have no place to study if his parents spend all day playing mahjong. However, time is crucial for him to acquire the knowledge, because “Practice makes perfect”. Last but not least, the child will learn to play mahjong from his parents. Just as the old saying goes, “Like father, like son”, so the child will abandon his study and be a gambler like his parents.Serious as it seems, we can think of some measures to deal with the problem. To begin with, the government should make stricter rul es to prohibit parents from playing mahjong. What‟s more, the parents should give up playing mahjong for their child‟s sake.Writing 8 How Can Laid-off Workers Find New Jobs?1.很多下岗工人很难找到新的工作。

What-are-the-responsibilities-of-college-students

What-are-the-responsibilities-of-college-students

When we are admitted by the university, it means we are adults and we have to be responsible for what we had done. We won’t avoid responsibility as a little boy or girl what we used to be. We have grown up into full men.
Graduates should devote themselves and contribute to the country wherever needed. No matter how difficult the living and working conditions are, no matter how much they are paid, and even if they have to sacrifice themselves, they should put what they have learned in school into practice to serve the country.
Only by doing so can we have the power to handle whatever problems we encounter, only by doing so can we have the power to implement duty.
Many people tell me, it is clear that student's responsibilities are to be a good learner. However it is correct but not enough. The responsibilities of students are far more than study. We have to pay close attention to the job market. We need to find a good job to feed your family.

在大学遇到问题解决英语作文两分钟演讲

在大学遇到问题解决英语作文两分钟演讲Here's a 2000 word essay on "Solving Problems in College" written from the perspective of a young student, in English:Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about dealing with problems in college. College can be super fun and exciting, but it also comes with a lot of challenges. I may be just a kid, but I've learned a few things from my older siblings and cousins who are in college right now.The first big problem many college students face is homesickness. Going away to college means leaving your family, friends, and the comfortable home you've known for years. That can be really hard! My cousin Julia told me she cried a lot during her first few weeks at university because she missed her mom's cooking and hanging out with her best friend from high school. If you get homesick, don't worry - it's totally normal! Try to make your dorm room feel cozy with photos, blankets, and other reminders of home. Join some clubs or teams so you can make new friends. And don't forget to call your family regularly!Another major issue is dealing with harder schoolwork. The classes in college are much tougher than high school. You have to study way more, write longer papers, and the tests are superhard. My brother Parker failed his first few exams in his freshman year because he didn't know how to manage his time properly. If you're struggling with classes, use the college tutoring center! They have excellent tutors who can help you understand the material. Start assignments as soon as they are given instead of waiting until the last minute. And be sure to get enough sleep - I know it's tempting to stay up all night cramming, but your brain needs rest to perform its best.Money problems are another biggie for college kids. The costs of tuition, housing, food, books, and everything else really add up quickly. My cousin Tara had to get two jobs to pay her bills, which made it hard to focus on her schoolwork. If money is tight, apply for scholarships and grants. Look for an on-campus job with flexible hours. Buy used textbooks. Pack inexpensive meals instead of ordering delivery. And avoid racking up high credit card bills - that debt can follow you for years after graduating.Staying healthy, both physically and mentally, is crucial too. College is a million times more germy than elementary school with all those people living in close quarters. Wash your hands frequently and get enough sleep to avoid catching nasty bugs. Eating meals from the dining hall is convenient but don't forgetyour fruits and veggies! Exercise is also super important for relieving stress. Take breaks from studying to go for walks, hit the gym, or throw a frisbee around with friends. Finally, don't underestimate how overwhelming the freedom of college can feel after living at home with your parents' rules for so long. With no one telling you when to go to bed, eat meals, or get your work done, it's easy to get distracted and make poor choices. My cousin Billy stayed up way too late playing video games and sleeping in instead of attending his early classes. He ended up on academic probation his second semester. While independence is awesome, you still need self-discipline. Set a schedule, go to class, allow time for studying, and try not to go too crazy at parties or clubs.College comes with a lot of obstacles, from loneliness to sleep deprivation to money woes. But facing challenges head-on and reaching out for help from family, friends, tutors, or counselors when needed can set you up for success. It's an exciting time of growth and figuring out your path in life. Don't be afraid to stumble a little as you navigate this new world - just keep pushing forward! You've got this!。

如何解决大学遇到的问题英语作文

如何解决大学遇到的问题英语作文

如何解决大学遇到的问题英语作文How to Solve Problems in CollegeCollege is really fun but it can also be really hard sometimes. Big kids in college have to deal with lots of problems that little kids like me don't even have to think about yet. But I've been practicing solving problems in math class and I think I can share some good tips for solving problems in college too!The biggest problem college students face is trying to do a million things at once. They have classes, homework, jobs, clubs, sports, and hanging out with friends. How can one person get all that done?! The first step is to make a schedule and plan out your time. My teacher has us use an agenda book to write down all our assignments and activities. College kids should do that too, but use a bigger planner since they have more stuff to keep track of.My dad says picking your priorities is also key. You can't do everything, so figure out what's most important. Going to class should probably be priority number one. Skipping classes makes it really hard to learn and keeps you from getting your money's worth from those expensive colleges! After classes, doing homework and studying has to come next. But you can't justwork work work all the time either. My mom always tells me it's important to schedule fun activities and free time too. College kids should plan time to hang out with friends, exercise, join clubs, or whatever helps them stay happy and healthy.Another challenge is handling all the homework and writing assignments. I remember doing essay writing in 3rd grade and it was so hard! I bet it's even worse in college. My teacher taught us to first just vomit out all our ideas by doing a mind map or free-writing. Don't worry about making sense at first, just get all your thoughts down. Then you organize those ideas into an outline before finally turning it into a draft. Asking someone else to proofread your draft is really smart too. My big brother always catches silly mistakes I miss in my writing.Speaking of getting help, that's another important tip - don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it! Too many college kids think they have to struggle all alone. But there are so many free resources on campus to support them. Going to office hours to meet one-on-one with professors is a great way to get extra explanations. I love when my teachers re-explain things to me in a new way that finally clicks. There are also free tutoring centers for subjects like writing, math, computer science, you name it.Why struggle by yourself when you can work with a tutor who knows all the tricks?Don't forget to use the counseling center if you start feeling overwhelmed or homesick too. Talking to someone who's an expert helper can make you feel so much better. Counselors have lots of advice for dealing with stress, anxiety, and other tough stuff. If money is tight, look into getting a job through work-study. Just don't overload yourself by working too many hours - school should still come first. There are also clubs you can join related to your major or culture that create awesome friend groups to lean on.One of the toughest challenges I imagine for college kids is staying healthy. My gym teacher is always nagging me about getting enough sleep, eating my veggies, and exercising daily. That's probably even more important when you're an overstressed college student. Don't eat too much junky vending machine food or you'll feel sluggish. Find time to get outside and play, even if it's just a walk around campus. Take breaks from endless screen time. And be sure to sleep as much as you need to each night instead of pulling an all-nighter. Being well-rested makes your brain work better for focusing and remembering stuff. So there you have it, my best elementary school advice for thriving in college! At the end of the day, it all comes down to using your time wisely, getting help when you need it, and taking care of yourself. If you do all those things, hopefully college will be a lot more fun than stressful. Just don't forget to eat your veggies!。

在大学遇到的问题,怎样解决的英语作文

在大学遇到的问题,怎样解决的英语作文

在大学遇到的问题,怎样解决的英语作文Uni-Versity Problems and How to Fix ThemHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. My big brother Tommy just started university last year. He's told me all about the weird problems he's had there. University sure sounds like a crazy place! The biggest problem Tommy had was feeling lonely and confused when he first got to campus. Everything was new and different. He didn't know anybody and the school was huge with so many buildings. Tommy said he felt really small and lost those first few weeks. To fix his loneliness problem, Tommy forced himself to talk to people even though he was shy. He introduced himself to the kids living next door in his dorm. Then he joined a club about movies since that's his favorite thing. Pretty soon Tommy had a little group of friends to hang out with. For the confusion problem of not knowing where to go or what to do, Tommy asked luis, the nice upperclassman who lived down the hall. Luis had been there for two years already so he knew all the uni-versity tricks. He showed Tommy where all the best places were - like the best cafeteria, the cheapest place toget textbooks, where to do laundry, and more. Having an experienced person give you tips really helps when you're new!Another big problem uni-versity kids face is staying healthy. They can't just rely on their parents to make sure they eat right, exercise, and get enough sleep anymore. My brother said it was hard to get into good routines at first. A lot of his friends stayed up too late playing video games and ate nothing but pizza and ramen noodles! To solve the healthy habits problem, Tommy learned he had to be disciplined. He made himself go to bed at a decent hour most nights. He started going to the big gym on campus three times a week to lift weights and run on the treadmill. And instead of eating junk food from the vending machines all the time, he'd get nutritious meals at the dining hall. Building good habits from the start is really important for uni-versity kids' health.Probably the biggest problem uni-versity students struggle with is all the hard work they have to do. There's SO much reading, writing papers, studying for tests, and projects due constantly. My brother said some weeks he'd have three or four enormous assignments to work on at the same time for different classes. Talk about stress! The best way Tommy found to handle the intense workload was to start assignments early and split them into smaller chunks. For example, when he had to write a 10 page paper, he'd start on it a month in advance. Then he'd just do one or two pages per day instead of trying to scramble and do it all at the last minute. He said making a schedule and chipping away at big projects gradually was a life-saver.Another trick was to find a good place to concentrate. For Tommy, that was one of the private study rooms at the library. No distractions there - no TV, video games, or loud roommates. Sometimes Tommy would go there with a few friends from class so they could help keep each other motivated to stay on task.Oh, I almost forgot about the money problem a lot ofuni-versity kids have! Going to school is super expensive. Textbooks alone can cost hundreds of dollars. Then there's paying for housing, meals, supplies, and who knows what else. No wonder so many students graduate with huge money debt!To avoid getting into too much debt, Tommy looked for every way possible to cut costs. Instead of buying brand new textbooks, he'd get used ones online for way cheaper. Or sometimes he could rent textbooks or buy digital versions. Healso tried to limit eating out and getting coffees all the time since that adds up fast.Another great tip for saving money is to look for a part-time job right on campus. Tommy got a job at the gym check-in desk for 10 hours per week. It wasn't much, but it gave him a little extra spending money. So those are the biggest problems Tommy's faced so far at uni-versity: loneliness, confusion, staying healthy, intense workload, and money troubles. But by being proactive and smart about it, he figured out ways to deal with each one of those problems. I'll have to remember his advice when I'm older and finally get to experience the crazy world of uni-versity for myself!。

大学生面临的困难和挑战英语作文

大学生面临的困难和挑战英语作文

大学生面临的困难和挑战英语作文College Students Have a Really Hard TimeI'm still just a kid in elementary school, but I've heard that going to college is super tough! My older cousin Julia is a freshman at the local university and she has been dealing with a lot of challenges. I'll explain some of the big problems college students face based on what Julia has told me.The first major issue is money problems. College is crazy expensive! Tuition, room and board, books, supplies - it really adds up fast. Julia got some scholarships and financial aid, but she still had to take out huge student loans. Now she's going to be paying those off for a long time after graduation. To try to pay her bills, Julia has to work a part-time job at the campus bookstore in addition to going to classes and studying. But that means she has even less free time. Sometimes she's so busy running between her job, classes, and the library that she doesn't have time to eat regular meals or get enough sleep. No wonder she always looks tired!Speaking of no sleep, that's another big problem - juggling all the work for different classes. In high school you just had 6 or 7 classes a day. But in college, each individual class requires waymore out-of-class work like big research papers, lab reports, and studying for tough exams. It's like having 6 or 7 part-time jobs at once on top of your actual part-time job! Julia is always complaining about all-nighters pulling crazy hours at the library. And the classes themselves are no joke either. The professors just blast through way more material at a much faster pace compared to high school. Julia says some of her science and math classes are taught in a way that's hard to follow sometimes. If you miss something important or don't understand a key concept from the start, you can get quickly lost. Going to office hours to get extra help is really important, but again, hard to fit into an overpacked schedule.Another academic difficulty is learning proper research, writing, and citation skills up to the level expected in college. Julia struggled a lot with her first few big research papers, making sure she did exhaustive research from good sources, quoted and cited everything properly, and put it all together in a logical, analytical way. It's like an entirely new skillset to master on top of the actual subject material. On top of the academics and money stress, there are also a lot of potential distractions that can make it hard to stay focused and motivated. Going away to college means being out on yourown for the first time with no parents around. That newfound freedom is exciting, but it can also lead to poor decisions like slacking on schoolwork, staying out too late partying, eating junk all the time, or getting pulled into bad crowds. The social scene and dating drama can also be a huge source of stress and distraction. Julia went through a bad breakup with her high school boyfriend early in the year and it totally threw her for a loop for a while. Dorm life with random roommates you never met before can lead to all sorts of awkward situations and conflicts too. With all those challenges - money woes, killer workloads, tough academics, distractions, social drama - it's no wonder so many students burn out or even drop out of college. The whole experience requires insane levels of time management, discipline, prioritization, and just sheer determination to power through and get that degree.Julia has definitely had lots of all-nighters, meltdowns, and wanting to just quit and come home plenty of times. But she's still grinding away because she knows how important getting that psychology degree is for her future career goals. I just hope she can keep it together for a few more years and make it through!I used to think being a kid with school, homework, and a bedtime was hard. But now I see that college students like Julia have it so much harder. I better enjoy these easy elementary school days while I can because the challenge level is going to get crazy insane if I make it to university! Between the money problems, the workload, and the distractions, it's honestly mind-boggling how any college students succeed at all. They must be super human! I have so much respect for Julia and all college students who stick it out through all those struggles to earn their degrees. Go Cousins Julia!。
