Another ethical concern is the potential for gene editing to be used for non-medical purposes, such as creating "designer babies" with certain physical or intellectual traits. This raises questions about inequality and discrimination.
Despite these concerns, I believe that gene editing technology has the potential to bring about significant benefits for humanity. For example, it could help us to eradicate genetic diseases that have plagued our species
for centuries. It could also help us to produce more nutritious and sustainable crops that can feed a growing population.
However, we must use this technology responsibly and with caution. We need to ensure that it is safe and effective, and that it is used for the greater good rather than for personal gain or profit.
