词汇教学是语言教学的基础,没有词汇教学,就无从谈语言教学。

外语教学自然离不开词汇教学。

学生不掌握一定的词汇量,就无法顺利进行听、说、读、写、译,就无法进行英语交流。

我个人认为,英语词汇教学必须做到识记、领会、应用、交际四个层次。

下面以外研版高英语必修五module5的生词教学为例进行具体分析。

一.教学目的:
1.通过词汇教学,有意识地培养学生运用词汇学习策略来识记词汇并能在语
境下恰当地运用语言的能力。

2.通过使用不同的呈现方法,加深学生对词汇的记忆,促进学生探索词汇学
习的最佳方法。

3.培养自主学习能力
二.教学过程:
我提前布置了任务,要求学生预习并在字典查找自己认为最重要的词汇包括短语或惯用语。

一上课开始例行的值日生词汇检查,之后开始上词汇课。

(一)识记(knowledge)第一步骤:开门见山的循环记忆方法:学生自读——找学生读,其他同学纠正发音——教师读——学生跟读——抽查读。

具体步骤如下:I begin to show some pictures made with Powerpoint in a computer .
I.直观教学法:利用幻灯片给学生展示以下图片:教师领读,反复五次,强化记忆。

II.将本模块的其他单词依词性分组, ( 1 ) 学习 A 组,学完后,
复习 A 组一次。

retire, perform, guarantee, purchase, score, protest, declare ( 2 ) 学习 B 组,再复习 B 组一次。

retirement, background, sportswear, advantage, designer, gymnast, marathon, ministry, final, champion, quality, victory, borough, competitor ( 3 ) 把 A 、B 组组合起来复习一次。

( 4 ) 学习 C 组,复习 C 组。

specific, ultimate, tough, ( 5 ) 学习
D 组,复习 D 组。

dramatically ( 6 ) 把 C 、D 组组合起来复习一次。

( 7 ) 复习 A 、B 、C 、D 组二次。

这样,学生学了 4 组 40 个单词。

每个单词对大脑都刺激了 5 次。

根据科学实验表明,经过 5 次的刺激,单词记忆的时间可以维持 30 分钟。

除了以上教学方法外,
教师在教学过程还可通过不同的方法来记住单词的拼写、发音、词义和用法。

第二步骤:记住单词的拼写、词义和用法。

设计练习如下: Ⅰ.联想记忆(根据提示写出相应的词汇以及相关短语)
1.perform vi .表现→put_on a performance 表演
2.advantage n.优势;长处→have an advantage over 比……有优势→take
advantage of利用→disadvantage n.劣势;不利
3.guarantee vt.& n.保证→under guarantee在保修期内
4.purchase vt.& n.购买→purchase sth.from sb.从某人处购买某物
5.specific adj.具体的;特定的→be specific to对……来说特有的
6.on the increase正在增加→increase by 增加了
7.rise to one’s feet站起身→struggle to one’s feet挣扎着站起来
Ⅱ.构词记忆(根据提示写出相应的词汇及其派生词)
1.retirement n.退休→retire v.退休
2.champion n.冠军→championship n.冠军地位;锦标赛
3.victory n.胜利→victor n.获胜者
4.declare vt.宣布→declaration n.宣言,声明
petitor n.竞争者;对手→compete vi.竞争;参加(比赛)→competition
n.竞争→competitive adj.好竞争的,有竞争力的
Ⅲ.语境填词(根据提示用适当的单词或短语填空)
1.The designers(设计师) guaranteed(保证) these tracksuits(运动服) and
sportswear(休闲服装) were of good quality(质量).
2.Before retirement(退役),he performed(表现) well on the stadium(运
动场) and scored(得分) 200 goals.
3.She protested(抗议) against the decision and insisted her
background(背景) was simple and she had the right to purchase(购买) the building.
4.The trainer(教练员) declared(宣布) that they had the right to quit the
game on these specific(具体的) situations.
5.We should take advantage(优势,长处) of these slogans(标语) to encourage
the champions(冠军) to go further.
Ⅳ.语境记忆(背诵语段,记忆单元词汇)
The trainer and the gymnasts wear the same track­suits and walk to the stadium .Today they will face a tough competitor,so they can’t guarantee their victory.
(二)领会(comprehension)第一步骤:教师解释生词。

经过上面的识记步骤后,就到了单词的领会阶段,要求学生明白单词的词性、构成方式和用法。

1. perform
双语释义v.执行(任务);完成;做;履行(职责)(carry out演出,表演(entertain an audience by...);表现(behave)

(三)应用(application)我设计了信息匹配的语境填词和词义猜测题,指导
学生根据不同语境准确使用单词,从而强化对词汇的记忆。

Ⅰ.语境填词

Ⅱ.词义猜测题——用本单元词汇替换划线部分

其他的应用方式还可以用生词造句来提高学生对词汇的理解。

(四)交际(communication)是指在日常生活活用词汇交流信息、获取信息、分析问题和解决问题。

主要通过阅读理解、写作或者口头表达进行词汇教学。

本案例选择一篇微作文,里面的生词复现率高,内容有趣味,可强化重点单词的记忆。

写作素材
1.乔治是一名优秀运动员。

2.他在比赛表现很好,获得了最高分。

3.他说他的教练给了他很多帮助,数年的艰苦训练保证了他的胜利。

提示黑体部分用本单元词汇表达。

连句成篇(将以上句子连成一篇50词左右的英语短文)
George,who was an excellent player,performed well and scored the highest mark in the competition. He said his trainer gave him a lot of help and years of hard training guaranteed his victory.
结束语:
词汇教学方法有很多,本案例只是其的几种。

如果课后配合其他教学途径,如让学生做阅读、抄写、背诵、听写等练习,做到眼看、耳听、口说、手写、脑动,再结合课文把含有该单词的句子理解、读熟、背诵,形成长期记忆,这样记忆新词的效率就会更高。

但是,任何方法都要围绕教学目标,做到内容真实,形式多样,使学生感受到词汇学习的魅力,提升英语学习的兴趣。
