How to Eliminate Cheating Phenomena inUniversitiesCheating in universities has become a pervasive issue that threatens the integrity of academic environments and undermines the values of honesty, fairness, and effort. This issue demands urgent attention and comprehensive strategies to address it effectively. In this essay, wewill explore the root causes of cheating in universities, consider the potential consequences, and propose practical solutions to eliminate this pernicious trend.Firstly, it is essential to understand the root causes of cheating. One significant factor is the intense pressure students face to achieve high grades and secure future success. This pressure often leads them to resort to unethical means to gain an unfair advantage. Additionally, the easy access to information and resources online has made cheating more convenient and difficult to detect. Moreover, the current educational system may also contribute to the cheating phenomena. In some cases, the focus on grades and assessments may overshadow the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving, andethical values. This can create an environment where students prioritize short-term gains over long-termlearning and personal growth. The consequences of cheating are far-reaching and damaging. It not only undermines the fairness andcredibility of assessments but also hinders the development of essential skills and qualities. Cheating erodes trust among students, teachers, and the entire academic community, leading to a culture of distrust and mistrust. Furthermore, it can have negative implications for students' future careers as employers increasingly value ethical standards and integrity. To eliminate cheating in universities, a multifaceted approach is necessary. Firstly, universities should createa culture of honesty and integrity by promoting ethical values and encouraging students to uphold these values. This can be achieved through dedicated courses, workshops, and seminars that emphasize the importance of ethics in academic and professional life.Secondly, universities should review and improve their assessment systems to make them more inclusive, fair, andinnovative. This includes the use of alternative assessment methods that evaluate a student's knowledge, skills, and attitudes beyond traditional exams and quizzes. By incorporating projects, case studies, and group discussions, universities can create an environment where students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate, and develop their problem-solving abilities.Thirdly, universities should invest in technology to enhance the detection and prevention of cheating. This includes the use of advanced software and tools that can detect plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, and other forms of cheating. By employing these technologies, universities can ensure that assessments are conducted in a secure and reliable manner, minimizing the opportunitiesfor students to cheat.Lastly, universities should establish a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating and enforce strict disciplinary measures against those who are found guilty. This sends a clear message that cheating is unacceptable and that universities are committed to maintaining the integrity of their academic environments. In conclusion, eliminating cheating in universities requires a concerted effort from all stakeholders, including students, teachers, and administrators. By fostering a culture of honesty and integrity, improving assessment systems, investing in technology, and enforcing strict disciplinary measures, universities can create an environment where cheating is not only discouraged but also impossible to sustain. By doing so, universities can foster a learning environment that nurtures critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical values, preparing students for successful and fulfilling careers.**如何消除大学作弊现象**大学作弊现象已经成为一个普遍存在的问题,它威胁着学术环境的完整性,破坏了诚实、公平和努力的价值。

2012年12月英语四级真题及答案

2012年12月英语四级真题及答案For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled Education PaysYou should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words. Part II Reading Comprehension (Skimming and Scanning) Why Integrity Matters What is Integrity? "Integrity" is defined as "adherence to moral and ethical principles; honesty." The key to integrity is consistency--not only setting high personal standards for oneself (honesty, responsibility, respect for others, fairness) but also living up to those standards each day. One who has integrity is bound by and follows moral and ethical standards even when making life's hard choices, choices which may be clouded by stress, pressure to succeed, or temptation. What happens if we lie, cheat, steal, or violate other ethical standards? We feel disappointed in ourselves and ashamed. But a lapse of integrity also affects our relationships with others. Trust is essential in any important relationship, whether personal or professional. Who can trust someone who is dishonest or unfair? Thus, integrity must be one of our most important goals. Risky Business We are each responsible for our own decisions, even if the decision-making process has been undermined by stress or peer pressure. The real test of character is whether we can learn from our mistake, by understanding why we acted as we did, and then exploring ways to avoid similar problems in the future. Making ethical decisions is a critical part of avoiding future problems. We must learn to recognize risks, because if we can't see the risks we're taking, we can't make responsible choices. To identify risks, we need to know the rules and be aware of the facts. For example, one who doesn't know the rules about plagiarism may accidentally use words or ideas without giving proper credit, or one who fails to keep careful research notes may unintentionally fail to quote and cite sources as required. But the fact that such a violation is "unintentional" does not excuse the misconduct. Ignorance is not a defense. "But Everybody Does It" Most people who get in trouble do know the rules and facts, but manage to fool themselves about the risks they’re taking by using excuses: "Everyone else does it," "I'm not hurting anyone," or "I really need this grade." Excuses can get very elaborate: "I know I'm looking at another's exam, even though I'm supposed to keep my eyes on my own paper, but that's not cheating because I'm just checking my answers, not copying." We must be honest about our actions, and avoid excuses. If we fool ourselves into believing we're not doing anything wrong, we can't see the real choice we're making--and that leads to bad decisions. To avoid fooling yourself, watch out for excuses and try this test: Ask how you would feel if your actions were public, and anyone could be watching over yourshoulder. Would you feel proud or ashamed of your actions? If you'd rather hide your actions, that's a good indication that you're taking a risk and rationalizing it to yourself. Evaluating Risks To decide whether a risk is worth taking, you must examine the consequences, in the future as well as right now, negative as well as positive, and to others as well as to yourself. Those who take risks they later regret usually focus on immediate benefits ("what's in it for me"), and simply haven't considered what might go wrong. The consequences of getting caught are serious, and may include a "0" on a test or assignment; an "F" in the class; Suspension or Dismissal from school; transcript notation; and a tarnished reputation. In fact, when you break a rule or law, you lose control over your life, and give others the power to impose punishment: you have no control over what that punishment might be. This is an extremely precarious and vulnerable position. There may be some matters of life and death, or highest principle, which might justify such a risk, but there aren't many things that fall in this category. Getting Away With It--Or Not Those who don't get caught pay an even higher price. A cheater doesn't learn from the test, depriving him/herself of an education. Cheating undermines confidence and independence: the cheater is a fraud, and knows that without dishonesty, he/she would have failed. Cheating destroys self-esteem and integrity, leaving the cheater ashamed, guilty, and afraid of getting caught. Worst of all, a cheater who doesn't get caught the first time usually cheats again, not only because he/she is farther behind, but also because it seems "easier." This slippery slope of eroding ethics and bigger risks leads only to disaster. Eventually, the cheater gets caught, and the later he/she gets caught, the worse the consequences. Students have been dismissed from school because they didn't get this simple message: Honesty is the ONLY policy that works. Cheating Hurts Others, Too Cheaters often feel invisible, as if their actions "don't count" and don't really hurt anyone. But individual choices have a profound cumulative effect. Cheating can spread like a disease, and a cheater can encourage others just by being seen from across the room. Recent statistics suggest 30% or more of college students cheat. If a class is graded on a curve, cheating hurts others' grades. Even if there is no curve, cheating "poisons" the classroom, and others may feel pressured to join in. ("If I don't cheat, I can't compete with those who do.") Cheating also has a destructive impact on teachers. The real reward of good teaching is seeing students learn, but a cheater says, "I'm not interested in what you're trying to teach; all I care about is stealing a grade, regardless of the effect on others." The end result is a blatant and destructive attack on the quality of your education. Finally, cheating can hurt the reputation of the University, and harm those who worked hard for their degree. Why Integrity Matters If cheating becomes the norm, then we are in big trouble. We must rely on thehonesty and good faith of others every day. If not, we couldn't put money in the bank, buy food, clothing, or medicine from others, drive across a bridge, get on a plane, go to the dentist--the list is endless. There are many examples of the vast harm that is caused when individuals forget or ignore the effect their dishonesty can have. The savings and loan scandal, the stock market and junk bond swindles, and, of course, Watergate, have undermined the faith of many Americans in the integrity of political and economic leaders and society as a whole. Such incidents take a tremendous toll on our nation's economy and our individual well-being. For example, but for the savings and loan debacle, there might be funds available to reduce the national debt and pay for education. In sum, we all have a common stake in our school, our community, and our society. Our actions do matter. It is essential that we act with integrity in order to build the kind of world in which we want to live. 1. A person of integrity not only sets high moral and ethical standards but also _______. Part III Listening Comprehension Section A Directions: In this section, you will hear 8 short conversations and 2 long conversations. At the end of each conversation, one or more questions will be asked about what was said. Both the conversation and the questions will be spoken only once. After each question there will be a pause. During the pause, you must read the four choices marked A), B), C) and D), and decide which is the best answer. Then mark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre. 11. W: I just heard about a really beautiful park in the east end of the town. There are a lot of roses in bloom. M: Why don’t we walk over there and see for ourselves? Q: What will the speakers probably do? 12. M: My presentation is scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow morning at the lecture hall.I hope to see you there. W: Oh, sorry. I was about to tell you that I have an appointment with my dentist at 9:00 o’clock tomorrow. Q: What do we learn about the woman? 13. W: How long have you been running this company? M: Twenty years if you can believe that. I brought it from a small operation to what it is today. Q: What do we learn about the man? 14. M: Have you read the news on the campus net? Susan has won the scholarship for next year. W: I knew she would from the very beginning. Such a brilliant and diligent girl! She certainly deserves it. Q: What does the woman mean? 15. W: Taking a bus to Miami, it’s cheaper than going by train. M: That’s true. But I’d rather pay a little more for the added comfort andconvenience. Q: What does the man mean? 16. M: I think it’s time we got rid of all this old furniture. W: You’re right. We need to promote our image besides it’s not a real antique. Q: What do the speakers mean? 17. M: That was some storm yesterday. How was I afraid I couldn’t make it home. W: Yeah, most of the roads to my house were flooded. I didn’t get home from the lab until midnight. Q: What do we learn from the conversation? 18. W: My boys are always complaining that they’re bored. M: Why don’t you get them into some team sports? My son and daughter play soccer every Saturday. And they both look forward to it all week. Q: What does the man mean? Questions 19 to 21 are based on the conversation you have just heard. W: I don’t know what to do. I can’t seem to get anyone in the hospital to listen to my complaints and this outdated equipment is dangerous. Just look at it. M: Hmm, uh, are you trying to say that it presents a health hazard? W: Yes, I am. The head technician in the lab tried to persuade the hospital administration to replace it, but they are trying to cut costs. M: You are pregnant, aren’t you? W: Yes, I am. I made an effort to get my supervisor to transfer me to another department, but he urged me not to complain too loudly. Because the administration is more likely to replace me than an X-ray equipment, I’m afraid to refuse to work. But I’m more afraid to expose my unborn child to the radiation. M: I see what you mean. Well, as your union representative, I have to warn you that it would take quite a while to force management to replace the old machines and attempt to get you transferred may or may not be successful. W: Oh, what am I supposed to do then? M: Workers have the legal right to refuse certain unsafe work assignments under two federal laws, the Occupation or Safety and Health Act and the National Labor Relations Act. But the requirements of either of the Acts may be difficult to meet. W: Do you think I have a good case? M: If you do lose your job, the union will fight to get it back for you along with back pay, your lost income. But you have to be prepared for a long wait, maybe after two years. Q19. What does the woman complain about? Q20. What has the woman asked her supervisor to do? Q21. What does the man say about the two federal laws? Q22. What will the union do if the woman loses her job Questions 22 to 25 are based on the conversation you have just heard. W: Mr. Green, is it fair to say that negotiation is an art? M: Well, I think it’s both an art and science. You can prepare for a negotiation quite scientifically, but the execution of the negotiation has quite a lot to do with one’s artistic quality. The scientific part of a negotiation is in determining your strategy. What do you want out of it? What can you give? Then of course there are tactics. How do you go about it? Do you take an opening position in a negotiation which differs from the eventual goal you are heading for? And then of course there are the behavioral aspects. W: What do you mean by the behavioral aspects? M: Well, that’s I think where the art comes in. In your behavior, you can either be an actor. You can pretend that you don’t like things which you are actually quite pleased about. Or you can pretend to like things which you are quite happy to do without. Or you can be the honest type negotiator who’s known to his partners in negotiation and always plays everything straight. But the artistic part of negotiation I think has to do with responding immediately to cues one gets in the process of negotiation. These can be verbal cues or even body language. This is where the artistic quality comes in. W: So really, you see two types of negotiator then, the actor or the honest one. M: That’ right. And both can work. I would say the honest negotiator can be quite effective in some circumstances. In other circumstances you need an actor. Q23. When is a scientific approach best embodied in a negotiation according to the man? Q24. In what way is a negotiator like an actor according to the man? Q25. What does the man say about the two types of negotiator? Section B Directions: In this section, you will hear 3 short passages. At the end of each passage, you will hear some questions. Both the passage and the questions will be spoken only once. After you hear a question, you must choose the best answer from the four choices marked A), B), C) and D). Then mark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the center. Passage 1 Questions 26 to 28 are based on the passage you have just heard. Since I started working part-time at a grocery store, I have learned that a customer is more than someone who buys something. To me, a customer is a person whose memory fails entirely once he or she starts to push a shopping cart. One of the first things customers forget is how to count. There is no other way to explain how so many people get in their express line, which is clearly marked 15 items or less, with 20, 25 or even a cart load of items. Customers also forget why they came to the store in the first place. Just as I finish ringing up an order, a customer will say, “Oops, I forgot to pick up a fresh loaf of bread. I hope you don’t mind waiting while I go get it.” Five minutes later, he is back with the bread, a bottle of milk, and three rolls of paper towels. Strange as it seems, customers also seem to forget that they have to pay for their groceries. Instead of writing a check or looking for a credit card while I am ringing up the groceries, my customers will wait until I announce the total. Then, in surprise, she says, “Oh no, what did I do with mycheck book?” After 5 minutes of digging through her purse, she borrows my pen because she’s forgotten hers. But I have to be tolerant of customers because they pay my salary, and that’s something I can’t afford to forget. Q26. What does the speaker say about customers’ entering the grocery store? Q27. Which customers are supposed to be in the express line? Q28. What does the speaker say some customers do when they arrive at the check-out counter? Q29. What does the speaker say about his job at the end of the talk? Passage 2 Questions 29 to 31 are based on the passage you have just heard. The speech delivery style of Europeans and Asians tends to be very formal. Speakers of these cultures often read oral presentations from carefully written manuscripts. On the other hand, American speakers are generally more informal relative to speakers in other cultures. American audiences prefer natural, spontaneous delivery that conveys a lively sense of communication. They don’t relate well to speakers who read from a manuscript. If you use an outline of your ideas instead of a prepared text, your speech will not only sound more natural, but you will also be able to establish better relationship with your listeners and keep their attention. The language and style you use when making an oral presentation should not be the same as the language and style you use when writing. Well-written information, that is meant to be read, does not work as well when it is heard. It is, therefore, important for you to adapt written texts or outlines for presentations. Good speakers are much more informal when speaking than when writing. They also use their own words and develop their own speaking styles. Whenever possible, they use short words. Listeners appreciate it when speakers use simple, everyday words in a presentation. One advantage is that it’s much easier for speakers to pronounce short words correctly. Another is that long and sophisticated vocabulary choices make listening more difficult. Question 30 to 32 30. What does the speaker say American audiences prefer? 31. What should one pay attention to when making an oral presentation? 32. What does the speaker focus on in the talk? Passage 3 Questions 32 to 35 are based on the passage you have just heard. Let children learn to judge their own work. A child learning to talk does not learn by being corrected all the time. If corrected too much, he will stop talking. He compares a thousand times a day the difference between language as he uses it and language as those around him use it. Bit by bit, he makes the necessary changes to make his language like other people’s. In the same way, kids learning to do all the other things they learn without adult teachers, to walk, run, climb, ride a bike, play games, compare their own performance with what more skilled people do, and slowly make the needed changes. But in school we never give a child a chance to detect his mistakes. We do it all for him. We act as if we thought he would never notice a mistake unless it was pointed out to him. Soon he becomes dependent on the expert. We should let him do it himself. Let him figure out, with the help of other children if he wants it, what this word says, what is the answer to that problem, whether this is a good way of saying or doing this or that. If right answers need to be given, as in mathematics or science, give him the answer book. Let him correct his own papers. Why should we teachers waste time on such tedious work? Our job should be to help children when they tell us that they can’t find a way to get the right answer. Question 33 to 35 33. How does a child learn to do something according to the speaker? 34. What belief do teachers commonly hold according to the speaker? 35. What does the speaker imply about the current way of teaching? Section C Directions: In this section, you will hear a passage three times. When the passage is read for the first time, you should listen carefully for its general idea. When the passage is read for the second time, you are required to fill in the blanks numbered from 36 to43 with the exact words you have just heard. For blanks numbered from 44 to 46 you are required to fill in the missing information. For these blanks, you can either use the exact words you have just heard or write down the main points in your own words. Finally, when the passage is read for the third time, you should check what you have written. (听力原文)Time is, for the average American, of utmost importance. To the foreign visitor, Americans seem to be more concerned with getting things accomplished on time (according to a predetermined schedule) than they are with developing deep interpersonal relations. Schedules, for the American, are meant to be planned and then followed in the smallest detail. It may seem to you that most Americans are completely controlled by the little machines they wear on their wrists, cutting their discussions off abruptly to make it to their next appointment on time. Americans’ language is filled with references to time, giving a clear indication of how much it is valued. Time is something to be “on,” to be “kept,” “filled,” “saved,” “wasted,” “gained,” “planned,” “given,” “made the most of,” even “killed.” The international visitor soon learns that it is considered very rude to be late -- even by 10 minutes -- for an appointment in America. Time is so valued in America, because by considering time to be important one can clearly achieve more than if one “wastes” time and doesn’t keep busy. This philosophy has proven its worth. It has enabled Americans to be extremely productive, and productivity itself is highly valued in America. Many American proverbs stress the value of guarding time, using it wisely, and setting and working toward specific goals. Americans believe in spending their time and energy today so that the fruits of their labor may be enjoyed at a later time. Part IV Reading Comprehension (Reading in Depth) Section A Directions: In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the bank is identified by a letter. Please mark the corresponding letterfor each item on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre. You may not use any of the words in the bank more than once. Questions 47 to 56 is based on the following passage. 如何消除学校里的作弊现象英语作文

如何消除学校里的作弊现象英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1How to Stop Cheating at SchoolHi friends! My name is Tommy and I'm a 5th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today, I want to talk to you about a really important issue – cheating at school. I know it might seem like an easy way to get good grades, but cheating is actually super wrong and can lead to lots of problems. That's why we all need to work together to stop it from happening at our school.First, let me explain why cheating is so bad. When you cheat on a test or assignment, you're basically lying and saying that work is your own when it's really not. That's dishonest, and dishonesty is never okay. It's like stealing someone else's answers instead of learning the material yourself. Would you ever take a toy from another kid without asking? I hope not, because that would be stealing and stealing is wrong, just like cheating is wrong.Cheating also isn't fair to the kids who did the hard work of studying and learning. Can you imagine how mad you'd feel if you spent hours preparing for a math test, but then a kid next to you just copied off your paper? You'd be pretty upset, and you'd have every right to be. Cheaters get rewarded for being lazy while hard workers get punished – that's just not right. And here's another reason cheating is a huge issue – it means you aren't really learning anything at all! The whole point of school is to gain knowledge and learn new skills. But if you cheat your way through assignments and tests, you're missing out on all that learning. Sure, you might get a good grade temporarily, but you won't actually understand the material. And that lack of real learning can come back to bite you later on as you move into higher grades. It's like building a house on a really weak, crumbly foundation – eventually, it's all going to fall apart.I bet some kids cheat because they feel a ton of pressure to get straight A's from their parents or because they want to be one of the "smart" kids in class. But cheating doesn't actually make you smart – it just makes you a cheater! The smartest kids are the ones who work hard, study diligently, and learn things the right way through honest effort. If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself out of an education. So what can we do to cut down on cheating and make our school a place of integrity? Well, teachers obviously need to be super watchful during tests and catch any cheaters in the act. They should space desks far apart, use multiple test versions, and keep a sharp eye out for wandering eyes or phones being used. Maybe they could even use more digital testing on laptops with cheating deterrents built in.But students need to take responsibility too. If you see someone cheating, you should firmly but politely call them out on it. Remind them that their actions are only hurting themselves and giving them an completely undeserved edge over others. If they don't stop, you may need to quietly tell a teacher so the cheating can be addressed. We should also create a school culture where cheating is totally uncool and lame. Kind of like how making fun of other kids for their looks or disability is considered a majorly cringeworthy thing to do these days. Cheating should be viewed as equally unacceptable and socially off-limits. Let's make it clear that we value things like effort, perseverance, ethical behavior, and earning success through honest hard work.Another idea is to have big anti-cheating assemblies or campaigns where we really drive this message home. We couldmake posters, skits, raps, videos, or anything else that gets the word out in a way that really resonates and sticks with kids our age. Getting creative could be the key to making such an important issue feel relevant and front-of-mind.At the end of the day, we all need to take cheating seriously because it's a problem that hurts us all. It damages trust, erodes academic integrity, and deprives cheaters of a real education. It creates an unfair environment and rewards the wrong kinds of behavior. So let's be intolerant of cheating and uphold honesty in everything we do at school. Because when it comes down to it, being a cheater just ain't cool – being your best, most hardworking self is way cooler!篇2How to Eliminate Cheating in SchoolHello everyone! Today, I want to talk about a serious problem we have in our school – cheating. Cheating is when someone tries to get a good grade by dishonest means, like copying from others or using cheat sheets. It's not fair and it's not the right thing to do. So, let's learn how we can eliminate cheating in our school!Firstly, it's important for us to understand why some students cheat. Sometimes, students cheat because they are afraid of failing or they feel a lot of pressure to get good grades. But remember, cheating is never the solution. Instead, we should focus on studying hard, asking our teachers for help when we need it, and believing in ourselves.Secondly, teachers play a crucial role in preventing cheating. They can create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help. Teachers should also explain the consequences of cheating and the importance of honesty. When teachers trust and believe in their students, it helps to foster a culture of integrity in the classroom.Another important step is for students to support each other. We should encourage our classmates to do their best and discourage cheating. If we see someone cheating, we can talk to them privately and explain why it's not the right thing to do. We can also remind them that learning is more important than just getting good grades.Furthermore, schools can implement measures to prevent cheating. For example, they can have strict rules against cheating and clearly communicate these rules to all students. Schools canalso use technology, like plagiarism detection software, to identify if someone has copied their work from the internet. Additionally, exams can be designed in a way that makes it difficult to cheat, such as having different versions of the test or asking open-ended questions that require critical thinking.Lastly, parents can play a supportive role in eliminating cheating. They can talk to their children about the importance of honesty and the consequences of cheating. Parents can also create a study routine at home and provide a quiet and distraction-free environment for their children to study in.In conclusion, cheating is not the right way to succeed in school. We should all work together to eliminate cheating by studying hard, seeking help when needed, and encouraging honesty and integrity in our classrooms. Remember, true success comes from our hard work and dedication, not from cheating. Let's create a fair and honest learning environment for everyone in our school!Word count: 284 words篇3How to Eliminate Cheating in SchoolHi everyone!Today, I want to talk about a serious issue that we often face in schools: cheating. Cheating is when someone tries to get a good grade by using unfair means. It's not fair to others who work hard and study honestly. So, let's discuss how we can eliminate cheating in our school.Firstly, it's important for teachers to create a positive learning environment. They should explain to us why cheating is wrong and how it affects our own learning. Teachers can share stories about famous people who achieved success through hard work and honesty. This will inspire us to follow the right path and discourage cheating.Secondly, parents can play a crucial role in preventing cheating. They should talk to us about the importance of honesty and the negative consequences of cheating. They can help us with our homework and projects, so we don't feel the need to cheat. When parents show trust in our abilities, we'll be motivated to work hard and achieve success without cheating.Next, schools can introduce strict rules and consequences for cheating. They can have an honor code that students must sign, promising not to cheat. Schools can also conduct surprise checks during exams to discourage cheating. If a student isfound cheating, there should be appropriate punishments, such as a warning, a deduction in marks, or even suspension. When students see that cheating leads to serious consequences, they will think twice before resorting to unfair means. Moreover, teachers can use innovative teaching methods to make learning more engaging and interesting. If we find our lessons fun and exciting, we'll be more motivated to study and less likely to cheat. Teachers can organize group activities, interactive discussions, and hands-on experiments to make learning enjoyable. When we enjoy studying, we won't feel the need to cheat because we'll be genuinely interested in the subject.Additionally, schools can provide extra support to struggling students. Sometimes, students cheat because they feel overwhelmed by the workload or don't understand the material. Schools can offer tutoring sessions or create study groups where students can help each other. When struggling students receive the help they need, they won't have to cheat to keep up with their peers.Lastly, we, as students, need to take responsibility for our own actions. We should understand that cheating doesn't benefit us in the long run. Instead, it hampers our personalgrowth and learning. Let's be honest and work hard to achieve our goals. If we see someone cheating, we should report it to the teacher because it's not fair to others. In conclusion, cheating is a problem that needs to be addressed in schools. By creating a positive learning environment, involving parents, implementing strict rules, using innovative teaching methods, providing extra support, and taking responsibility for our actions, we can eliminate cheating. Let's remember that success achieved through hard work and honesty is much more satisfying and rewarding than any grade obtained through cheating.Thank you for listening, and let's make our school a place of integrity and fairness!Word count: 499 words篇4How to Stop Cheating at SchoolHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I'm writing this essay to talk about a really big problem at my school and many other schools - cheating. Cheating is when students try to get the answers for tests or assignments in a dishonest way, likecopying from someone else or looking up answers online instead of doing the work themselves. It's a huge problem because it's unfair to the kids who study hard and do their own work. Why Do Kids Cheat? There are a few main reasons why kids might be tempted to cheat:They didn't study enough and are worried about failingThe work is too hard for them to understandThey feel a lot of pressure from parents or teachers to get good gradesTheir friends are cheating so they think it's okayThey just want to be lazy and take the easy way outNo matter what the reason is, cheating is never the right choice. It's basically stealing answers and lying. I think the punishments for cheating should be very strict so kids understand how serious it is.How Cheating Hurts EveryoneWhen students cheat, it causes a lot of problems that affect the whole school. First of all, it's extremely unfair to kids who putin the hard work and do their assignments honestly. Why should the cheaters get good grades when they didn't actually learn or put in any effort? The honest students are being punished because the cheaters make it look like they know more than they really do.Cheating also hurts the cheaters themselves in the long run. If they keep getting away with cheating, they'll never actually learn the material they need to know. When they get to higher grades, the work will be too hard for them since they have a bunch of gaps in their knowledge from cheating earlier on. They'll struggle and possibly fail or have to repeat grades because they never learned the basics properly.Plus, if cheaters get caught, they can face really serious consequences like getting zero grades, getting suspended or expelled from school, or even going to court in some places. Getting caught cheating can ruin a student's whole future and make it impossible for them to get into a good college or career path later in life. It's just not worth the risk. Finally, widespread cheating undermines the whole school system and makes people lose respect for education. If everyone thinks students are just cheating to get by, people will start to believe that what kids learn in school doesn't even matter. Butgetting a good education is extremely important for every child's future success. Cheating cheapens the value of learning and degrees/diplomas that students work so hard for.Ways to Stop CheatingSo what can be done to crack down on cheating and make sure it stops happening at schools? Here are some of my ideas:Have very harsh punishments for anyone caught cheating, even for the first offense. This could include automatic zero grades, detentions, suspensions, etc. to show students how serious it is.Make sure test environments are secure. Space students apart, use multiple test versions, have a lot of supervision during tests to catch cheaters in the act.Use better technology to detect cheating, like having students upload essays/assignments to be analyzed for plagiarism or copying.Emphasize ethics and academic integrity lessons from an early age so students understand why cheating is wrong and harmful.Provide more tutoring and learning support resources so students don't feel as pressured to cheat if they are struggling.Allow some forms of collaboration or open-book work when possible so students don't feel as tempted to cheat on things that don't actually need to be individual blind assessments.Make sure parents are aware of the consequences for cheating, so they don't put too much pressure on their kids for perfect grades.Create an environment where it's unacceptable and "shameful" to be known as a cheater. Maybe students can make posters, hold assemblies, or pass out gear celebrating academic honesty.Recognize and reward students who get good grades while demonstrating academic integrity and hard work.If students do get caught cheating, have them go through education or counseling about academic integrity instead of just punishing them. It's Up to All of UsStopping cheating in schools is something that needs the whole community to work together on – students, parents, teachers, principals, counselors, and more. Students have to make the choice篇5How to Eliminate Cheating in School?Hello everyone! Today, I want to talk about a very important topic – how to eliminate cheating in school. Cheating is when someone tries to get a good grade or win a competition by being dishonest. It's not fair to the other students or to ourselves. So, let's find out how we can stop cheating and create a fair and honest learning environment!First of all, it's important to understand why students cheat. Sometimes, we feel a lot of pressure to get good grades, and we think that cheating is the only way to succeed. But that's not true! We all have unique talents and abilities, and we can achieve success through hard work and dedication. So, let's believe in ourselves and our abilities.Next, teachers play a crucial role in preventing cheating. They can create an atmosphere of trust and honesty in the classroom. Teachers should explain to us why cheating is wrong and how it can harm our learning. They can also encourage us to ask for help when we don't understand something. When we feel supported by our teachers, we are less likely to cheat.Another important step is to create a culture of integrity among students. We need to understand that cheating doesn't benefit anyone in the long run. Instead, it diminishes our own abilities and devalues our accomplishments. Let's remember that true success comes from our efforts and knowledge, not from cheating. We should encourage and support each other in doing our best.To prevent cheating during exams, schools can implement some strategies. For example, teachers can change the seating arrangement so that we are not sitting next to our friends during exams. This reduces the temptation to copy from each other. Additionally, teachers can use different versions of the exam or mix up the order of questions to ensure fairness.Technology can also help in eliminating cheating. Schools can use plagiarism detection software to check our assignments and essays for any copied content. This will discourage us from copying from the internet or from each other. Moreover, schools can install surveillance cameras in exam halls to deter cheating and ensure that everyone is following the rules.Lastly, parents can play a significant role in preventing cheating. They should teach us the importance of honesty and integrity from a young age. They can emphasize the value ofhard work and the satisfaction that comes from achieving something through our own efforts. Parents should also encourage open communication with teachers, so that any concerns or issues can be addressed promptly. In conclusion, cheating is a serious problem in schools, but it's not impossible to eliminate it. By understanding the reasons behind cheating, creating a culture of integrity, involving teachers and parents, and implementing effective strategies, we can create a fair and honest learning environment. Let's remember that true success comes from our own efforts and knowledge. Together, we can make our school a place where honesty and hard work are valued and celebrated!Word Count: 395 words篇6How to Eliminate Cheating in SchoolHi everyone! Today, I want to talk about a serious issue that we often see in schools - cheating. Cheating is when someone tries to get good grades by dishonest means. It's not fair, and it's not the right way to learn. So, let's find out how we can eliminate cheating in our school!Firstly, it's important for teachers to create a fair and supportive learning environment. They can encourage open discussions and make us feel comfortable asking questions. When we understand the lessons well, we won't feel the need to cheat. Teachers can also give us regular feedback and praise our efforts, which will boost our confidence and reduce the temptation to cheat.Secondly, students should develop good study habits. We need to manage our time wisely and avoid procrastination. When we leave everything until the last minute, we may feel overwhelmed and resort to cheating. By planning our study schedule and staying organized, we can complete our assignments and prepare for tests without the need to cheat. Moreover, teamwork and peer support can play a vital role in preventing cheating. We can form study groups where we help each other understand difficult concepts. By explaining things to our friends, we reinforce our own understanding and build strong foundations. Together, we can create an environment where everyone strives for success through hard work and honesty.Another important aspect is the use of technology. Schools can implement advanced tools, such as plagiarism detectors, toidentify copied content in assignments. Additionally, teachers can provide online quizzes and tests with random questions, making it difficult for students to share answers. By using technology wisely, we can ensure a fair assessment system and discourage cheating.Furthermore, parents can also contribute to eliminating cheating. They can instill strong values of integrity and honesty in us from an early age. Parents should emphasize the importance of learning for personal growth rather than just focusing on grades. When we understand that knowledge is valuable and cheating diminishes its worth, we will be more inclined to study honestly.Lastly, it's essential for schools to have strict policies and consequences for cheating. When students know that cheating is unacceptable and will result in serious consequences, they will think twice before attempting it. Schools can organize workshops on academic integrity, where we learn about the negative effects of cheating and the rewards of honest hard work.In conclusion, cheating is not the right path to success. By creating a fair learning environment, developing good study habits, promoting teamwork, utilizing technology, involvingparents, and implementing strict policies, we can eliminate the cheating phenomenon in our school. Let's remember that true success comes from our own efforts, dedication, and honesty. So, let's work together and make our school a place where everyone learns and grows with integrity!。

However, some students have been found cheating on their exams. Some of them copy from each others, some took out their textbooks or reference books to copy, some copied from small pieces of paper on which they had prepared for the exam, still some used the modern communication tools such as BP, mobile phone as a way to cheat on exams. Then, what’s the effect of cheating on exam? It has an important bearing on the development of our country. Regrettably, however, those unfaithful and “popular”behaviors in high school have become the stumbling block on our way to build the integrity of university. So it is a matter of great urgency to change the situation. As the saying goes, it takes more than one cold day for the river to freeze three feet deep. In the history of our nation, the feudal thought has “controlled”people’s thinking for thousands of years. There is no denying that it still exist and influence our daily life . Consequently, sham promotion, fake commodity, tax evasion and so on, are around us. What’s worse, these unfaithful behaviors are accepted and followed by most of the younger generations. In addition, the traditional educational methods that carried out by teachers and parents only focus on how many marks we can get inthe exams, but not on whether we behave morally in daily life. As a result, the unfaithful behaviors are now becoming more “usual”in campus but without any objections. From the several reasons listed above ,proper actions should be taken below:At the very first place, family plays the most important role in the development of honest education for the reason that parents are thefirst teachers of children before they study in school. It’s sure that parents’manners and conduct have a civilizing influence on the children. One thing they have to keep in minds all the time is that parents are the mirrors and models of children. Therefore, parents must behave decently, gently and honestly. Never evade taxation, never cheat others and never tell a lie . Only in this way can we let children know exactly honesty is the best policy. Moreover, we can not emphasize the importance of school’s leading position to much. During the school days , teacher is a life coach, guides us towards a right direction. They are daily and hourly exercising an invisible, formative influence on the students’character. Consequently, teachers should be honest and clean in performing official duties; should be open and frank with others; should be practical and realistic. Additionally, theleaders of Bureau of Education ought to draw up a modern policy on morality to suit current society. Sometimes classroom is just a tower of ivory. What we learn from it doesn’t make sense in society. But social practice will show us the real phenomenon so that we know how to make a choice.Given to the fact that society has a great impact on students. Our government must legislate to fight the unfaithful behaviors in current society. To ignore the dishonesty and let the crafty men still at large is equal to tell the younger generations that dishonesty is legal and moralin our country. In short, on no account can the authority show compassion in front of the dishonesty. To sum up all have been described above, it is apparent that family, school and society are closely related to the integrity education. Only if they three make concerned efforts can we make progress, can we achieve success, can we let the students know “honesty is the best policy”.。

It's like being a judge in a courtroom, but with less drama.Once the exam is over, the monitors collect all the papers and turn them in to the professor. 关于学术诚信的英语作文180字

关于学术诚信的英语作文180字全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Academic Integrity is Really Important!Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about something called academic integrity. It's a big fancy phrase, but it's really important, especially for kids like us who are students.Academic integrity basically means being honest and doing the right thing when it comes to schoolwork and assignments. It means not cheating or copying someone else's work and calling it your own. That would be plagiarism, which is a no-no!You might be thinking, "But why is academic integrity such a big deal?" Well, let me tell you!First of all, cheating and plagiarism are unfair. It's like if you were running a race, and someone cut across the field instead of running the whole track. That wouldn't be fair to the other runners who followed the rules, right? The same goes for schoolwork. If you cheat or copy, you're not playing by the rules, and that's not fair to the kids who did the work themselves.Secondly, cheating and plagiarism mean you're not really learning. School is all about gaining knowledge and skills, and if you're just copying someone else's work, you're not actually learning anything yourself. It's like trying to get strong by watching someone else lift weights instead of lifting them yourself. It doesn't work that way!Another big reason why academic integrity matters is that it's about building good character. When you're honest and do your own work, you're showing that you have integrity, which means you have strong moral principles and do the right thing even when no one is watching. That's a really important quality to have, not just in school but in life too. Now, I know what some of you might be thinking: "But assignments are hard, and sometimes I just want to take a shortcut." Trust me, I get it! Schoolwork can be tough, and it's tempting to look for an easy way out. But that's why it's so important to practice academic integrity, even when it's difficult. It's like training a muscle – the more you practice being honest and doing your own work, the easier it becomes. And you know what? Teachers and parents can usually tell when you've cheated or plagiarized. They're not silly, and they'veseen it all before. So not only is it wrong, but you'll probably get caught anyway!Instead of cheating, try your best on assignments and ask for help if you're struggling. That's what teachers and parents are there for – to support you and help you learn. And if you make a mistake or get a bad grade, don't beat yourself up. Just try to learn from it and do better next time.Academic integrity is all about taking responsibility for your own learning and being proud of your hard work and achievements. When you put in the effort and do things the right way, you can feel really good about yourself and what you've accomplished. So next time you're tempted to cheat or copy someone else's work, remember how important academic integrity is. It's about fairness, learning, building good character, and being proud of your own efforts. Trust me, doing things the right way might be harder in the short term, but in the long run, it's so worth it!Okay, that's enough preaching from me! Let's move on to something fun. Who wants to hear a joke about a chicken trying to take a shortcut across the road?篇2Academic Honesty: Being a Honest StudentHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader. Today I want to talk to you about something really important - academic honesty. That just means being honest and doing the right thing when it comes to schoolwork and assignments.Academic honesty matters a whole lot. It shows that you are a good, ethical person who has strong values like honesty and integrity. When you cheat on a test or plagiarize somebody else's work, that's being really dishonest. It's like telling a lie, and lies are wrong.I try really hard to always be honest with my schoolwork. Sometimes the work is really tough and I get frustrated. Maybe I don't understand something or I'm running out of time on a test. In those moments, I've been tempted to cheat like by looking at someone else's paper or copying some answers online. But I don't do it because I know cheating is wrong. When you cheat, you're not learning the material properly. You're just getting the answers without doing the real work of understanding the concepts. So you're cheating yourself out of an education! You might get a good grade on that oneassignment, but what happens when you get to the next unit or the next grade level? You'll be lost because you never really learned.Cheating is also really unfair to the students who did put in the hard work to learn and earn their grades honestly. If I cheated on a test, I'd be getting rewarded for being dishonest while the honest students don't get the high scores they deserve. No one wants a cheater taking a prize or opportunity away from them!My parents and teachers have taught me that having academic integrity means doing my own work, being truthful, and never trying to get an unfair advantage. Even when things are tough, I should put in my best effort instead of taking shortcuts. That's the only way I'll really learn.I feel really good when I earn a good grade because I know I got it by working hard and being honest. My work is truly my own. I can be proud of myself. Cheating might seem tempting in the moment, but it's wrong and it catches up to you. You have to live with guilt, you didn't actually learn, and you could get in huge trouble if the cheating is discovered. At my school, there are strict rules against cheating. If you're caught, you could fail the assignment, have to re-take a class, getsuspended, or even get expelled which means getting kicked out of school! I've seen it happen and it's not worth it. The consequences are really serious.I encourage all of you to have academic honesty too. Study hard, do your own work, and ask for help from teachers if you need it - don't cheat! It's the only way to really learn and grow. You'll feel so good about yourself when you succeed through your own hard work and merit. Be a person of integrity who does the right thing, even when it's hard. I believe in you!篇3Academic Integrity: Being Honest and Responsible at SchoolHi there! My name is Emma and I'm in the 5th grade. Today I want to talk to you about something really important called academic integrity. It's a big word, but it just means being honest and responsible when it comes to schoolwork and learning.Academic integrity matters because it helps create an environment of trust, fairness and respect at school. When everyone plays by the rules and does their own work, it allows teachers to accurately evaluate what students have learned. It also prepares us to be ethical citizens as we grow up.So what does it mean to have academic integrity? Well, it involves doing your own homework, projects and test without cheating or copying someone else's work. It means not plagiarizing, which is taking someone else's words or ideas and passing them off as your own. Having academic integrity also requires being truthful and not lying about stuff like attendance or making excuses for missed assignments.I'll be honest, sometimes it can be really tempting to cheat, especially if you're struggling with an assignment or running short on time. You might be thinking "Everyone else does it, so why can't I?" Or "It's just this one time, no big deal." But those are just excuses. Cheating is never okay because it is a form of lying and stealing. It's disrespectful to your teachers and classmates who work hard honestly.Instead of cheating, we need to develop good study habits like starting assignments early, using a calendar, taking breaks, and asking for help when we need it. Our teachers and parents want us to succeed, so they'll try their best to provide support if we are struggling. Way better than risking getting caught cheating!Cheating can have serious consequences too. If you get caught, you might fail that assignment, get suspended, get apermanent note on your record, or even get expelled from school. Its mom and dad finding out is often the worst part - you'll let them down and damage the trust between you. Not worth it!Having academic integrity isn't just about avoiding cheating though. It means holding yourself to high standards and taking pride in your work. When you put in your best effort and learn things the right way, you can feel good knowing you earned your achievements through hard work and perseverance. That's something to be proud of!It also involves being a good friend and classmate. If you see someone cheating, you shouldn't help them or look the other way. In a caring way, discourage them from cheating and remind them of the rules. We're all in this learning journey together and should hold each other accountable while offering support. At the end of the day, having academic integrity is about doing the right thing and being a person of character, even when it's hard. It's preparing us to be ethical leaders and positive contributors to society in the future. So let's make a commitment from now to always be honest, play by the rules, and do our best work. Our future selves will thank us!篇4Academic Integrity: Honesty is the Best PolicyHi, my name is Emily, and I'm in the 5th grade. Today, I want to talk to you about something really important – academic integrity. You might be wondering, "What's that?" Well, it's all about being honest and doing the right thing when it comes to your schoolwork. You see, cheating is a big no-no. It's like lying, and lying is wrong. When you cheat, you're not just hurting yourself; you're also hurting your classmates and your teachers. It's not fair to them, and it goes against the rules of our school.Imagine this: you're taking a test, and you see your friend copying answers from someone else. That's cheating, and it's not cool. Not only is it against the rules, but it also means that your friend isn't really learning the material. How will they do well on future tests or projects if they don't actually understand the stuff they're supposed to be learning? And that's not all! If you cheat, you might get caught, and then you could get in big trouble. You might have to retake the test or even get suspended from school. Nobody wants that! But academic integrity isn't just about not cheating. It's also about respecting other people's ideas and giving credit where it's due. Have you ever written a report or essay and used information from a book or website? If you did, you should have cited your sources. That means you told your teacher where you got that information from. It's like giving a shout-out to the people who did the hard work of researching and writing the stuff you used. Not citing your sources is called plagiarism, and it's another form of cheating. It's like stealing someone else's ideas and pretending they're your own. That's not cool, either! So, what can you do to practice academic integrity? Here are a few tips:Study hard and do your own work. It might be tempting to copy someone else's answers, but you'll learn so much more if you put in the effort yourself. If you're struggling with something, ask your teacher for help. They want you to succeed, and they'll be happy to explain things in a way that makes sense to you. When you use information from other sources, make sure to cite them properly. Your teacher can show you how to do this.If you see someone cheating, don't join in. Instead, remind them that it's wrong and encourage them to do their own work.Be proud of your accomplishments! When you put in the hard work and do things the right way, you can feel good about yourself and your achievements.Academic integrity is all about being honest, responsible, and respectful. It's a really important value that will serve you well not just in school, but in life. When you practice academic integrity, you're showing that you're a person of character who values learning and doing the right thing. So, let's all make a pact to be honest and hardworking students who take pride in our work. Together, we can create a school community where academic integrity is the norm, and cheating is a thing of the past. Who's with me?篇5Academic Integrity: A Student's GuideHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a student in the fifth grade. Today, I want to talk to you about something really important called academic integrity. It's a big word, but it's super important for all of us students to understand. You see, academic integrity means being honest and doing the right thing when it comes to our schoolwork and assignments. It's about taking responsibility for our own learning and not cheating or copying someone else's work. Let me give you some examples of what academic integrity looks like.Imagine you have a big project due next week, and you're feeling really stressed out about it. It might be tempting to copy some information from the internet or ask your friend to let you copy their work. But that would be cheating, and it goes against academic integrity. Instead, you should do your own research, use your own words, and put in the hard work to complete the project yourself.Another example is during a test or quiz. Academic integrity means not looking at someone else's paper, not using notes or cheat sheets, and not sharing answers with your classmates. It's important to show what you know and what you've learned, without any shortcuts or dishonest behavior. Now, you might be thinking, "But Emma, why is academic integrity so important?" Well, let me tell you!First of all, when you cheat or copy someone else's work, you're not really learning anything. You're just taking the easy way out, and you won't actually understand the material ordevelop important skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management.Secondly, academic integrity is about being honest and building trust with your teachers and classmates. When you cheat, you're breaking that trust, and it can make it harder for your teachers to believe in you and your abilities. Finally, academic integrity is about preparing you for the future. In the real world, whether you're working a job or pursuing a career, honesty and integrity are incredibly important. By practicing academic integrity now, you're developing good habits that will serve you well throughout your life.I know that sometimes schoolwork can be really hard, and it's tempting to take shortcuts. But trust me, the feeling of accomplishment you get from doing your own work and learning something new is so much better than the temporary relief of cheating. So, let's all make a commitment to academic integrity. Let's be honest, work hard, and take pride in our own achievements. It's not always easy, but it's the right thing to do, and it will benefit us in so many ways.Remember, academic integrity is about more than just following the rules – it's about becoming a better person and a better student. So, let's embrace it and make it a part of who we are!篇6Academic Integrity: The Importance of Honesty in SchoolHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 4th grader at Sunnyville Elementary School. Today, I want to talk to you about something really important called "academic integrity." It's a big word, but it basically means being honest and doing the right thing when it comes to schoolwork and learning. You see, when we're in school, we're there to learn new things and grow our brains. But sometimes, kids can be tempted to cheat or copy someone else's work instead of doing it themselves. That's not cool at all because it's like lying, and lying is wrong.Imagine if you worked really hard on a big project, spending hours and hours researching, writing, and putting it all together. Then, someone just copied your work and turned it in as their own. How would that make you feel? Pretty sad and angry, right? That's why it's so important to have academic integrity and do your own work. When you cheat or copy, you're not only being dishonest, but you're also cheating yourself out of learning the material. The whole point of school is to learn new things, so if you're just copying someone else's answers, you're not really learning anything at all.I remember one time in 3rd grade when we had a big math test coming up. My friend Jake was really struggling with the material, and he asked me if he could copy my work. I said no way, Jose! Copying is wrong, and it wouldn't help him learn the math concepts. Instead, I offered to study with him and go over the problems together. In the end, he worked hard, understood the material, and did great on the test all by himself.Academic integrity isn't just about not cheating or copying, though. It's also about giving credit where credit is due. If you use someone else's ideas or words in your work, you have to cite them properly. That means telling everyone where you got that information from, like a book, website, or article. It's like giving a big thank you to the people who came up with those ideas in the first place.Imagine if you wrote a really cool story, and someone else just took it and claimed it as their own without giving you any credit. That wouldn't be fair at all, would it? That's why citing your sources is so important – it's a way of showing respect for other people's hard work.Academic integrity is also about being honest in other ways, too. Like, if you accidentally broke a classroom rule or did something wrong, it's better to fess up and take responsibility for your actions. Lying or trying to cover it up will only make things worse in the long run.I know it can be tempting sometimes to take shortcuts or cheat, especially when schoolwork gets really tough. But trust me, it's not worth it. Having academic integrity and doing the right thing might be harder in the moment, but it feels so much better in the end. Plus, you'll actually learn the material and grow your brain, which is the whole point of going to school in the first place! So, the next time you're feeling tempted to cheat or copy, remember how important academic integrity is. Think about how you would feel if someone did that to you, and remind yourself that you're here to learn and grow. Ask your teacher or a friendfor help if you're struggling, and never be afraid to do the right thing, even if it's hard.Academic integrity is what makes learning fun and fair for everyone. When we're all honest and do our own work, we can really soak up all that knowledge like little sponges! So let's all make a pact to have academic integrity and be the best, most honest students we can be. Pinky promise?。

How to Eliminate Exam CheatingExam cheating has been a persistent issue in the educational system, affecting the fairness and integrity of assessments. It not only undermines the purpose of exams but also hinders the development of honest and skilled individuals. To address this issue, a multi-faceted approach is necessary to eliminate exam cheating effectively.Firstly, education is key. Students should be informed about the importance of integrity and the consequences of cheating. Teachers and parents should set an example by demonstrating honest behavior and promoting ethical values. By fostering a culture of honesty and respect, students are more likely to internalize these values and apply them in their academic pursuits.Secondly, strict supervision during exams is crucial. Exam invigilators should be trained to detect and prevent cheating. They should be vigilant and aware of any suspicious activities, such as students whispering or looking at unauthorized materials. By maintaining a highlevel of supervision, the opportunity for cheating is reduced.Thirdly, technological advancements can be leveraged to combat exam cheating. For instance, the use of online exam platforms with features like remote proctoring and automated grading can minimize the chances of cheating. These platforms can monitor students' activities during the exam, flagging any suspicious behavior for further investigation.Fourthly, severe consequences should be imposed for those who are caught cheating. This serves as a deterrent and sends a clear message that cheating is not tolerable. Penalties may include failing the exam, receiving a disciplinary action, or even being expelled from the institution.Lastly, continuous assessment should be encouraged. Instead of relying solely on end-of-term exams, teachers should assess students' performance throughout the semester through assignments, class participation, and other formative assessments. This approach reduces the pressureon students to cheat and promotes a more comprehensive evaluation of their skills and knowledge. In conclusion, eliminating exam cheating requires a concerted effort from all stakeholders in the educational system. By combining education, strict supervision, technological advancements, severe consequences, and continuous assessment, we can create an environment where honesty and integrity are valued and cheating is no longera viable option.**如何消除考试作弊**考试作弊一直是教育体系中一个持续存在的问题,它影响了考试的公平性和完整性。

No Cheating
Many people argue that it is acceptable when students cheat in exams under some special circumstances, but how can they connive with students to do something totally wrong morally? As is known to us all, the credibility is mankind’s basic requirement. Therefore, as I see, students should not cheat in exams.
First, cheating in exams does harm to students themselves, because it is a kind of self-deception substantially. By cheating, high marks as they can get, they can not do a real self-evaluation and they also do not know how much they really have learned, which is certainly no good to students’long-term improvement. Besides, once caught by teachers, the students must feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, and degrading, and that may possibly cause psychological shadow to some students. What’s more, if students cheat once and “benefit” from that, they must want to cheat twice, three times…As time passes, when they participate in a big exam, their weakness must be exposed beyond question, so it is no use cheating in daily life. Above all, students should not cheat in the beginning.
Second, it is unfair for honest students who choose not to cheat in exams. Although some students are not hard-working and lazy, they can also get good grades, even the scholarship, which will certainly dissatisfy the industrious ones. As we all know, Chinese students are crazy about academic achievements, so it is easy to imagine that more students will choose to cheat to get high marks if they can. For example, one of my classmates once told me that she had not dared to cheat in high school at all. However, she also begin to cheat in exams now, because many students cheat and they can not be found by the teacher in general. In this condition, they have no hesitation to cheat to get high marks. However, in my opinion, what they did is very unfair for honest students. If they continue like that, our nation’s morality will be in a crisis one day.
Third, cheating in exams is very common among students nowadays, which is
bad for the development of our country. If students form the habit of cheating, they will become dishonest not only in exams, but also any other aspects. When a nation’s pillars are without honesty, this nation’s future is worrying. It is said that China’s software piracy rate is about 45% recent years, which has given a bad impression to other countries because of our dishonesty. Besides, we are afraid of many products made in China, and that’s exactly because the lack of honesty. Students all know to be honest from the minor matter, so they should take actions at the same time.
