Hello everyone! My name is Emily and I'm in 5th grade. Today I want to talk to you all about my favorite thing - summer vacation! I get so excited just thinking about it. No school, no homework, just fun adventures every day.
The best part is I get to sleep in as late as I want. During the school year, my mom is always nagging me to wake up early so I'm not late. But in summer, if I want to stay up reading comics until midnight, I can just sleep until noon the next day. No one can stop me! Moms don't understand how awesome that is.
Then I get to have the most amazing breakfasts. Not just a granola bar scrunched down before the bus comes. I'm talking big stacks of pancakes drowning in syrup. Or waffles piled high with whipped cream and strawberries. Or chocolate chip pancakes! My brother and I have epic syrup-chugging contests to see who can drink the most before getting a stomachache. It's so much fun.
After my huge breakfast, I'll spend the whole day out playing with my best friends Anna and Jake. We have a secret hideout in the woods behind Anna's house that we decorate with cool sticks and pinecones and stuff. We make it look like a fairy fortress! Then we battle monsters (Jake's dog Buster) and shoot arrows (sticks) to defendour kingdom. Buster's tongue is like a deadly weapon though - he easily defeats us every time with his slimy kisses.
When we get hungry, we head over to the convenience store and buy big slushies to share. Blue raspberry is my fave because it turns my tongue crazy colors for hours. We also load up on snacks like chips, candy, and those cute little pastry things shaped like pigs. We bring it all back to the hideout and have an epic snack feast fit for a queen (me) and my brave knights (Anna and Jake).
On really hot days, we'll take the bus downtown to the giant water park instead. We'll spend hours shooting down the huge twisting water slides over and over again. We'll play chicken fights and have diving contests in the giant wave pool. And we'll float around lazy river sipping lemonades until our fingers get all wrinkly. By the time we leave, we're pruney raisins!
In the evenings, we have time for even more fun activities that aren't possible during the school year. Every week, my family goes to the outdoor movies in the park. We bring sleeping bags and settle in on the grass to watch thrillers, comedies, you name it. I like to prank my little brother by sneaking up and yelling "BOO!" during a scary part. He screams like a baby every time!
We also go on tons of fun family road trips over summer. PackingUp the car and driving for hours never feels long because we play awesome games. My favorite is hunting for license plates and trying to spot one from every state. My high score is 42 states in one trip! We'll stop along the way at goofy roadside attractions too, like the World's Biggest Rubber Band Ball or Wigwam Motel. Those places are always good for some hilarious photo ops.
When we get to our destination, we'll go hiking at national parks, swim in beautiful lakes, or just wander around new cities eating delicious food. One year we drove all the way to the Grand Canyon and I was blown away by how massive and pretty it was. Another summer we went to New York City and I couldn't believe how tall the skyscrapers were! No matter where we go, it's an adventure.
Some of you might be thinking that summer is only fun and games, but that's not true. It's also when I get to attend really cool camps. Three years ago, I went to coding camp and learned how to build web pages and games. I made a simple RPG wheremycharacter was a wizard who had to fight off evil bunnies (don't ask). It was awesome seeing my creations come to life!
Last summer, I did cooking camp instead. We made everything from fancy French dishes to gooey chocolate lava cakes. My favorite was the morning we built an actual edible house out of graham crackers and candy. I made the most delicious stained glass windows using crushed Jolly Ranchers. When we were done, I half-expected Hansel and Gretel to come strolling up looking for a snack!
This year, I'm going to one of those fun sleepaway camps with campfires, canoeing, swimming in the lake, and all that jazz. I've never been before so I'm a little nervous, but I know it'll be amazing. I'll make a million new friends, do tons of cool activities, and come home with a trunk full of hilarious camp stories to tell you all.
As you can probably tell by now, I absolutely live for summer vacation. Those couple of months are really what get me through the slog of the school year. Don't get me wrong, I love learning
and all that... but summer is just magical. No teachers, no assignments, no getting up at dawn, no stressing about tests or grades. Just sun, fun, adventures, and freedom!
So to sum it all up: summer rocks, school drools. When the last bell rings on that final day of 5th grade, you can be sure I'll be the first one out the door cheering and dancing a silly jig. Infinite hours of endless fun and possibilities, here I come! Thanks for letting me share my thoughts with you today. Have an awesome summer everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm 8 years old. Today I want to talk to you about my favorite things - my family, my friends, and my hobbies!
First, let me tell you about my family. I live with my mom, dad, and little brother Tommy who is 5. My mom works at a big office downtown, and my dad is a firefighter. That means he has to be really brave and rescue people and pets from burning buildings! I'm so proud of him. My little brother Tommy is really silly. He makes funny faces all the time and we laugh a lot together. I love my family so much.
Next, I want to tell you about my best friends from school. My bestie is Lucy. We've been friends since kindergarten. Lucy has pretty blonde hair and blue eyes. She is really good at reading and always gets stars on her work. I'm better at math than her though! We both love the swings at recess. Another one of my good friends is Michael. He's really fast and always wins when we race at gym class. I don't like running as much, but Michael makes me laugh with his funny jokes. I'm lucky to have such great friends.
My favorite hobbies are drawing, reading, and playing outside. I love using my colored pencils and markers to draw pictures of animals, rainbows, and anything else I can imagine. Reading is fun because you can go on adventures without even leaving your room! I like reading fairy tales and books about brave knights and princesses. When it's nice out, I go to the park near my house and play on the slide, climb the monkey bars, and run around catching butterflies and looking for cool rocks.
That's a little bit about me and the things I love most. Being a kid is the best! We get to have fun, use our imaginations, and not worry about big grown-up things. I feel very lucky. Even though I'm just a small person, I have a big, wonderful world full
of family, friends, and happiness. I hope you all feel that way too. Thanks for listening!

Hello everyone! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about my favorite things - animals!
I love animals so much. They are such amazing creatures. Did you know that dogs are one of the oldest domesticated animals? People started keeping them as pets thousands of years ago. They're such loyal friends. I have a golden retriever named Buddy and he's the best dog ever. He always gets so excited to see me when I come home from school. His tail wags a million miles an hour! I like to play fetch with him in the backyard. He can run really fast to chase after the tennis ball.
Cats are another pet I really like. My aunt has two cats named Mittens and Socks. They're so funny and playful. Have you ever watched a cat chase after a laser pointer? It's hilarious how focused they get! Cats can be pretty independent though. Sometimes Mittens and Socks just want to be left alone to sleep in the sunshine. That's okay because they're still really cute even when they're being lazy.
Another cool animal is the dolphin. Dolphins are so smart - some people say they're smarter than humans! They can recognize themselves in a mirror, which is something not many animals can do. Dolphins also have their own language of clicks and whistles to communicate with each other. I went to SeaWorld last summer and got to watch the dolphin show. The dolphins did all kinds of incredible jumps and tricks. They seem like such playful, friendly creatures.
Did you know that bees are responsible for pollinating most of the fruits and vegetables we eat? Without bees, we wouldn't have things like apples, strawberries, or broccoli. I try not to be scared of bees because they're so important, but I have to admit they make me a little nervous when they buzz around my head. As long as I stay calm and don't bother their hive, bees usually just mind their own business collecting pollen and making honey.
Speaking of honey, bears are another animal I find fascinating. Black bears are the smallest bears in North America, but they can still weigh up to 600 pounds! That's about as much as a baby grand piano. Bears are omnivores, which means they eat both plants and meat like fish or small mammals. In the winter, bears go into a deep sleep called torpor. Their heart rate
and breathing slow way down to conserve energy until spring arrives. I think it would be pretty cozy to snuggle up and sleep for months like a bear! Of course, waking up hungry would be no fun.
There are just so many incredible animals in the world, from the tiny ants to the massive blue whales. I hope I can learn even more about them as I get older. Maybe I'll become a marine biologist and study dolphins and whales. Or a wildlife photographer traveling to remote places to get pictures of exotic species. Or a zookeeper getting to interact with amazing creatures every day! No matter what, I know animals will always have a special place in my heart. They make the world such a fascinating, wonderful place.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say! Thank you for listening. Does anyone have any questions about animals that I can try to answer? Let me know if you have a favorite animal too - I'd love to hear about it!

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about something that can be pretty scary for kids like us - taking an English exam with an essay portion. I know, I know, just the idea of having to
write a whole essay in English probably makes some of you want to run away screaming! But don't worry, I'm here to tell you that with a little preparation and the right mindset, you can totally rock that English essay.
First thing's first, let's talk about why we even have to do this in the first place. Learning English is super important, even if it doesn't always feel like it when we're stuck conjugating verbs or memorizing vocabulary lists. English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and being able to communicate in it can open up so many doors for us in the future. Maybe you'll want to travel to cool places like America or England someday. Or perhaps you'll end up working for an international company that does business all over the globe. Wherever life takes you, having solid English skills is going to be a huge advantage.
But I get it, mastering a whole new language is hard work, and sometimes it's frustrating. That's where the dreaded English exam essay comes in. As much as we might hate it, that essay is actually a really good way for our teachers to see how well we're able to express ourselves in written English. It lets them know if we're grasping all the grammar rules, if our vocabulary is improving, and if we can put together a coherent piece of writing.
Once we get through this particular challenge, we'll be that much closer to English superstardom!
Now, I'm sure some of you are thinking "That's all well and good, but how exactly am I supposed to write this stupid essay without totally messing it up?" Have no fear, I've got some tips that have really helped me in the past:
Tip #1: Read the prompt carefully! I know it's tempting to just skim over it and start writing, but those prompts actually contain really important information. They'll tell you what kind of essay you need to write (persuasive, narrative, etc.), give you the topic to focus on, and let you know if there are any specific points you need to cover. Reading it line-by-line and maybe even underlining key words can make a huge difference.
Tip #2: Make an outline! I used to hate doing this and would always try to wing it, but let me tell you - outlines are life savers. Even just a bare-bones one can help organize your thoughts and make sure your essay has a logical flow instead of just being one hot mess. Just jot down your intro, body paragraphs, and conclusion as a rough plan before you start writing.
Tip #3: Don't go overboard with fancy words and phrases. I get it, we all want to look smart and impress the teacher. But trying too hard to stuff your essay with super complicated
vocabulary or idioms you don't fully understand is actually just going to make it more confusing. Stick to words and grammar structures you're comfortable with. The clarity of your writing matters way more than how elaborate you can make it.
Tip #4: Leave time to proofread! We've all been there - scrambling to finish an essay right before time runs out, making absolutely zero sense while shoving words onto the page. Avoid that nightmare scenario by giving yourself enough time to read through your essay at the end, catch any silly mistakes, and make sure your ideas are easy for the teacher to follow. This is especially important since they'll be deducting points for errors.
Tip #5: Don't panic! Remember, this is just one exam essay. It does not determine your entire worth as a student or as a human being. If you prepare properly and give it an honest effort, that's all anyone can ask of you. Just take a deep breath, stay positive, and do your best!
So there you have it, my top tips for conquering English exam essays. One last piece of advice - you've got this! Learning a language is never easy, but all your hard work is going to pay off. We're all in this together, so let's hype each other up and show those essays who's boss!
That's all I've got for you today. Thanks for listening, good luck on your upcoming tests, and remember - you're awesome!

Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you all about something very important - the English exam essay that we have to write. I know, I know, just hearing those words probably makes some of you feel worried or stressed out. Writing an essay for a test can seem really hard, especially in English which isn't our first language. But I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be so scary!
The first thing to remember is that the teachers aren't expecting us to write like professional authors or anything. We're just kids after all! As long as we try our best and follow the instructions, that's what really matters. The judges will be looking for us to share our thoughts and ideas in a clear way, not for perfect grammar or super fancy vocabulary.
Another important thing is to pick a good topic that you actually feel interested in or have something to say about. That will make the writing so much easier than if you choose something boring that you don't care about at all. The prompt might give you a few options to pick from, so take a minute to
think about which one gets your brain bubbling with ideas and thoughts.
Once you've chosen your topic, my favorite trick is to make a quick little outline or web diagram listing out the key points you want to include. That way you have a roadmap to follow instead of just staring at the blank page feeling stuck. The outline keeps you organized and makes sure you don't miss anything important.
Then when you start writing, simply follow your outline nice and slow. Don't rush and Don't worry about making it perfect on the first try. Just get all your thoughts and ideas down on the paper as best you can. You can always go back and fix mistakes and make it smoother later.
Remember to grab the reader's attention at the very start with an interesting opening line or question. Then state your main idea or thesis for the essay. The body paragraphs should each focus on one main point from your outline, with examples and details to back it up. And finally, wrap it all up with a good conclusion that restates your main point in a memorable way.
If you get stuck while writing, try taking a short break to clear your mind. Drink some water, do some stretches, shake out your arms and legs. A tiny rest can help you see your work fresh again
when you return to it. And if there are any words or grammar rules you're just completely stumped on, make a note to ask your teacher about it later and simply move on for now.
The most important things are to follow all the instructions, write as clearly as you can about your chosen topic, and keep your essay focused with a beginning, middle, and end. As long as you do those three things, you'll be okay!
Writing can be hard work for sure, but don't let it scare you. This is a chance to show off your English skills and share your own unique thoughts and perspectives. So go for it, believe in yourself, and don't be afraid to let your personal voice and style shine through. You've got this!
Thanks for listening, everyone. Don't forget to get a good night's sleep before the exam. Drink lots of water, eat a healthy breakfast, and do some deep breaths if you feel nervous. You're going to do great! I'll be cheering all of you on. Let's go get those English essays written!

Hello everyone! My name is Emily and I'm 9 years old. Today I want to talk to you all about a very important topic - our beautiful planet Earth!
The Earth is the most amazing place. It's our home, and the only place we know of with people, animals, trees, oceans and everything else. It's really one huge miracle when you think about it! The Earth is a gigantic ball, much bigger than anything else we see. It floats through space, circling around the Sun. The Sun gives the Earth heat and light, allowing plants to grow and animals like us to live.
On the Earth there are lots of different environments and ecosystems. There are steamy hot rainforests near the equator, with tall trees, vines, colorful birds and monkeys swinging through the branches. Then you have the dry deserts, with barely any rainfall and just cactus plants, lizards and camels. Up at the North and South Poles there are huge icecaps and glaciers, where polar bears and penguins live. In between the hot and cold places are the temperate regions with four seasons - spring, summer, fall and winter.
I find the oceans the most fascinating part of our planet. They cover about 70% of the Earth's surface! Underneath the waves are thousands of different species of marine creatures - from tiny shrimp to dolphins and giant whales. The oceans have coral reefs which are like underwater rainforests, with vivid colors and all sorts of fish swimming around. Sometimes the oceans
can be very calm and peaceful, but other times they get rough with huge waves during storms. Without the oceans there would be no clouds or rain, and all life would die.
Unfortunately, us humans haven't been treating our Earth very well lately. We are cutting down too many forests, polluting the air and oceans with garbage, and burning too many fossil fuels that cause global warming. If we don't stop, many animals will go extinct, the ice caps will melt, weather will get crazy, and the Earth won't be such a nice place anymore.
That's why it's so important for everyone, including kids like me, to learn about the environment and how to take care of it. We need to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible. We should pick up litter, save energy and water, and tell others to be environmentally friendly. If we all work together, we can make sure the Earth stays healthy and beautiful for many more generations to come!
I feel really lucky to live on this amazing planet we call Earth. It's absolutely fascinating with its diverse landscapes, ecosystems and incredible creatures. As kids, it's our responsibility to learn everything we can about it and to protect it in any way possible. We only have one Earth, so we need to cherish it forever. What a wonderful world this is!。
