An Exciting Visitor Is Coming to Our School!
Hi everyone! I have some super cool news to share with you all. We are going to have a really special visitor come to our school soon. Can you guess who it is? I'll give you a hint - this person is from a different country and speaks a language that isn't Chinese. That's right, we're going to have a foreign English teacher come visit us!
Mrs. Wang told our class about it yesterday during English period. She said this English teacher is from the United States and her name is Ms. Emily. Isn't that an awesome name? I can't wait to meet her.
Mrs. Wang said Ms. Emily is going to do a presentation for all the students at our school about what life is like in America. How exciting is that? We'll get to learn all about a different culture and country. I've never been to America before, but I've seen pictures and it looks like such an interesting place.
There are so many things I want to ask Ms. Emily. What kinds of foods do people eat in America? What games and sports are popular there? What are American schools like compared to our school? Do kids in America have to learn Chinese or is it very different? I have a million questions running through my mind!
I really hope Ms. Emily brings some props or items from America to show us during her presentation. Maybe she'll bring some American snacks for us to try. Or maybe she'll show us pictures of her hometown. I'll feel like I'm getting a mini-trip to America just by listening to her talk!
One of the things I'm most excited about is getting to practice my English listening and speaking skills with a native English speaker. I study English so hard at school, but it will be really useful to interact with someone who speaks it as their first language. I want to ask Ms. Emily all sorts of questions in English and see if she can understand me.
I've been trying to think of good questions to ask Ms. Emily during her visit. Maybe I'll ask her what her favorite American holiday is and how it's celebrated. Or I could ask her opinion on what city in America has the best food. So many possibilities!
I can just imagine Ms. Emily standing at the front of our auditorium, showing us pictures and videos about America while
speaking in perfect English. I'll do my best to pay close attention so I can learn as much as possible. Who knows, maybe listening to Ms. Emily will inspire me to become an English teacher someday too!
I'll make sure to take really good notes during her presentation. That way, I can share everything I learned with my parents when I get home. My mom and dad didn't get to learn much English when they were students, so they'll be really impressed if I can teach them some new English words or facts about America.
Mrs. Wang said we all need to be on our very best behavior while Ms. Emily is visiting. We need to represent our school well and show her how polite and hardworking we are. I already planned to be a good host, but Mrs. Wang's reminder made me extra determined. I'll be sure to say things like "please," "thank you," and "it's nice to meet you" when speaking to Ms. Emily.
I can't wait for the day of Ms. Emily's visit! It's going to be here before we know it. I'll make sure I get a good night's sleep the night before so I'm well-rested and ready to learn. Maybe I'll even make a special sign or banner to welcome Ms. Emily to our school. I could decorate it with American flags and symbols to show I'm excited about her cultura.
Well, I better get going for now. I need to start brainstorming pictures to draw on my welcome sign for Ms. Emily. I'll make sure to tell you all about her visit after it happens. But for now, I'm just counting down the days until I get to meet a real English teacher from America!

An Exciting Visit from Mr. Michael!
Oh boy, I can't wait to tell you about the amazing thing happening at our school next week! We are going to have a very special guest come visit us. His name is Mr. Michael and he is an English teacher from the United States of America!
Mrs. Wong, our English teacher, told us all about it last week during our English class. She said Mr. Michael has taught English to students all over the world for many, many years. He has traveled to lots of different countries and taught students how to speak, read and write in English. Isn't that so cool?
Mrs. Wong said Mr. Michael is coming to our school to give a big speech about learning English. He is going to talk to us about why it is important to learn English and share some fun ways we

An Exciting Visit From Ms. Emily
Hi everyone! I have some awesome news to share with you all. You know how we've been learning English in class? Well, get ready because we're going to have a really cool visitor come speak to us - a real foreign English teacher from America! Her name is Ms. Emily and she's going to give a super fun presentation all about her home country and life growing up speaking English. I'm so psyched!
You might be wondering how this all came about. Well, last week in English class, we were talking about different countries and cultures around the world. I raised my hand and asked Mr. Wang, our English teacher, if we could somehow meet a real foreign person who speaks perfect English. He thought that was a marvelous idea! Mr. Wang said he would see what he could do.
A few days later, Mr. Wang had the biggest smile when he told us he was able to invite his old friend, Ms. Emily, to come visit our school. She's an English teacher from Los Angeles, California and has been living in China for the past few years, teaching English. Isn't that so cool? A real American is coming here!
Ms. Emily is going to do a multimedia presentation all about her life back home. She'll show us pictures and videos of where she grew up, her family, the food she ate, the games she played as a kid, and so much more. We'll get a firsthand look at how kids in America live. I can't wait to see what it's like!
The best part is that after her presentation, we'll all get to ask Ms. Emily any questions we want - in English! We can practice our English speaking skills while learning about her culture. Maybe I'll ask her what her favorite American food is? Or what sports she liked playing when she was my age? The possibilities are endless.
I bet a lot of you are curious about America too. What kinds of houses do they live in? What holidays do they celebrate? What kinds of clothes do they wear? We can finally get answers straight from someone who actually grew up there. No more guessing or looking things up online!
Mr. Wang says that experiences like this are so valuable for improving our English and developing a global perspective. He's right! Reading from our textbooks is one thing, but being able to interact with a native speaker will really help cement what we've learned. It's going to be like English class came to life before our very eyes.
I, for one, can't wait for Ms. Emily's visit next week. We're so fortunate that she's taking time out of her busy schedule to share a bit of her world with all of us. Opportunities like this don't come around every day.
I'll make sure to take lots of notes during her presentation so I can tell my parents all about it. And who knows, maybe I'll decide I want to be an English teacher someday too, traveling all around helping kids learn one of the coolest languages out there. That would be so much fun!
Well, that's all for now. Spread the word to your family and friends - an actual English-speaking guest is coming to our school! We should all start preparing questions to ask Ms. Emily. This is going to be an adventure we'll never forget. See you there!

Dear Miss Karen,
Hi! My name is Lily and I'm a student at Sunny Hills Elementary School. I'm writing to you today to invite you to come speak to all the students at our school about your life as an English teacher from America!
I think it would be so cool to have you come visit. All of us kids are learning English in our classes, but it's not the same as learning from someone who actually grew up speaking English in an English-speaking country. I'll be honest, English is kind of hard for me. Speaking and writing in a different language than what I'm used to at home can make my brain feel like a jumbled mess sometimes! But I really want to get better because I know learning English will open up a whole new world of opportunities for me as I get older.
I can only imagine how much cooler and more fun English class would be if we got to learn directly from you instead of just our regular teachers. No offense to them, but you actually lived the English language and culture in a way they can only try to teach us secondhand. Having a real life English speaker like yourself come share your experiences would make the whole learning process feel so much more real and exciting!
There's so many things I want to know about your life back in America. Like, what was school like over there? Did you have to learn any other languages growing up? What are some of the biggest cultural differences between America and our country? What's your favorite English book or movie? I'd love to hear about the path that led you to become an English teacher too.
Was it always your dream job or did you have other career plans initially? What inspires you most about teaching the English language to kids like me?
I can already picture the whole auditorium filled with my classmates absolutely captivated as you speak about your journey. The younger kids would probably be enthralled just by the chance to hear someone speaking in fully fluent, native English in person. And us older elementary students could ask you tons of questions and get advice for improving our English skills. Hearing you talk about overcoming any challenges or struggles you faced in mastering English would be really motivating for those of us who get frustrated at times.
Can you imagine how inspiring it would be to have a visiting English expert like yourself giving us a window into the English-speaking world? Just think about how much it could fuel our excitement about continuing to study English. Your real-life stories and experiences would make those textbook dialogues we practice come alive in a whole new way. Who knows, you might even inspire some of us to want to pursue learning other languages or traveling to America or becoming English teachers ourselves one day!
I know I'm just a little kid, but I truly believe having an opportunity like this could make a huge impact on me and my fellow students. We're still so curious about the bigger world out there beyond what we know. Getting to interact with someone like you who has lived in multiple cultures would be incredibly enriching. It could open our minds up to new ideas about communicating across languages and geographical borders. Why, you could singlehandedly spark a lifelong passion for language learning or travel in one of us! At the very least, having you speak would just be a really fun and special experience we'd all remember for a very long time.
So what do you think, Miss Karen? Would you pretty please consider coming to speak at our school? We would be so excited and honored to have you as a guest speaker. You'd be sharing such a valuable perspective that could potentially shape the way we students see English and the world around us forever.
I know my principal and teachers would be thrilled to have you visit too. They're always looking for ways to get us kids more engaged with our English studies and open our eyes to the importance of cultural exchange. I've already run the idea by a few of them and they agreed it could be an amazing educational experience for the whole school! We could schedule your talk for
whenever is most convenient for you. I just hope you're able to find some time in your busy schedule to make the trip here.
Thank you so much for considering my invitation. Hosting a guest speaker like yourself would honestly make all of our years! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be sure to interpret and explain everything back to the principal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed you'll say yes!
Your friend,
Lily

An Exciting Visit from Ms. Amanda
Hi everyone! I have some super cool news to share with you all. You know how we've been learning English in class? Well, our teacher Mrs. Park told us that we're going to have a really special guest come visit us soon. Can you guess who it is? I'll give you a hint - she's from a country far, far away!
That's right, we're going to have a real foreign English teacher named Ms. Amanda come to our school! Isn't that awesome? I'm so excited, I can barely contain myself. Learning English from our regular teachers is great, but having a native
speaker come talk to us is going to be a totally different experience.
Mrs. Park said Ms. Amanda is from a place called the United States of America. I had to look that up on the map - it's on the other side of the huge Pacific Ocean! The United States is made up of 50 states, and Ms. Amanda is from a state called California. I've heard California has amazing weather, with lots of sunshine and warmth. MaybeMs. Amanda will tell us what it's like to live there.
From what I know, the United States is a huge country with people from all over the world living there. It's often called the "melting pot" because of how many different cultures mix together there. I'll bet Ms. Amanda has lots of fascinating stories about growing up in such a diverse place.
Mrs. Park told us that when Ms. Amanda visits, she'll give a big presentation to all of us third, fourth, and fifth graders in the auditorium. Can you imagine - a real foreign English teacher standing on stage, speaking to us in her native language? I get chills just thinking about it! I've never met someone from that far away before.
During her presentation, Ms. Amanda will teach us all about American culture and what life is like in the United States. I
wonder what kinds of things she'll share with us? Will she talk about famous American foods like hamburgers and hot dogs? Or tell us about big cities like New York with its massive skyscrapers? Maybe she'll even teach us some American English slang words!
I really hope Ms. Amanda will do more than just talk at us though. I'm crossing my fingers that she lets us ask her lots of questions and that she keeps things fun and interactive. I'd love for her to play games with us or sing some songs in English. Anything to make learning the language more engaging would be awesome.
One thing I'm especially curious about is what Ms. Amanda's impression of Korea has been so far. Has she tried any of our delicious foods like kimchi and bulgogi? Does she like K-pop music and movies? I'll definitely ask her opinion on those kinds of things.
No matter what Ms. Amanda decides to cover in her presentation, I already know it's going to be a day I'll never forget. Think about it - we get to come face-to-face with someone from over 5,000 miles away who speaks an entirely different native language. How mind-blowing is that?!
I'm sure having Ms. Amanda visit will take our English learning to the next level too. There's only so much our usual
teachers can teach us since they aren't native speakers themselves. With Ms. Amanda's authentic English and firsthand knowledge of American culture, a whole new world of learning will be opened up for us.
Part of me is a little nervous to meet Ms. Amanda if I'm being honest. What if I get shy and can't understand her English very well? What if I ask her a question, but she doesn't understand me? I'll just have to be brave and try my best. This is the chance of a lifetime!
Overall, I can't wait for Ms. Amanda's visit day to finally arrive. Ibet it'll be the most fun we've ever had in school. If you see me in the halls looking super excited, you'll know why. A real life American English teacher is coming to spend time with us - how cool is that?
I'll make sure to pay extra close attention during Ms. Amanda's presentation. Who knows, maybe I'll learn so much from her that I'll become an English expert myself one day? That would be a dream come true. Okay, I've got to go practice my English reading and conversation skills. I want to be fully prepared when Ms. Amanda arrives. This is going to be an adventure!。
