An important person in my childhood
When I was a child, there were a lot of other kids living nearby. We played together every day, the king of us is a girl who is older than us all and we all called her sister. She was such an energetic and interesting person that everyone would like to follow her. She would lead us to do different things in different seasons, however maybe we all loved summer and winter most.
In summer, she would take us to catch cicada and then cooked it for us. Though it sounds a little disgusting now but we all liked eating at that time. Sometimes she also led us to the river searching for the tadpoles. I still remember she had a cat once who died at a very young age because we all fed it with the tadpoles and later knew that they had already poisoned by pesticide.
In winter, all the things are about the snow. She would command us to make snowman together, sometimes we also had a snowball fight until everyone became wet. At night, she would make a fire and threw one or two sweet potatoes into it, then we all sat around the fire , singing songs and waiting to eat the delicious food one by one. At last, everyone’s mouth would be black because of the burned sweet potatoes and we would laugh at each other.
I think my childhood wouldn’t be that colorful without her and I will remember her all the time.。
