Dimensions shown in inch (mm)Specifications and dimensions subject to changeMDM connectors are used in applications requiring highly reliable, extremely small, light-weight connectors with higher density contact configurations than available in traditional rec-tangular connectors. They are available in 8shell sizes accommodating from 9 to 100 con-tacts, and special arrangements of power and coaxial contacts. These connectors are designed to meet the rap-idly increasing demands for an environmental, high performance, rugged, moisture-sealedmicrominiature connector. This connectoremploys size 24 MICROPIN TM /MICROSOCKET TM contacts on .050 (1.27) centers in a contact density identical to the standard MICRO-D con-nector series, but with these additional features:•Aluminum shells to provide greater strength, prevent chipping, cracking or breaking, offer electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding.•Silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide a moisture and humidity seal between each contact and between contacts and shell.SpecificationsSTANDARD MATERIALS AND FINISHES Shell InsulatorContactsMounting Hardware Kit, Jackpost (3) items Washer Standard Epoxy-6061-T6 Aluminum alloy perQQ-A-200/8, yellow chromate/ cadmium, Type II, Class 3 over electroless nickel per SAE AMS-C-26074, Class 4.-Liquid Crystal Polymer per MIL-M-24519, T ype GLCP-30F (9-100)-Glass filled diallyl phthalate perMIL-M-14, Type SDGF (7*2 and 24*4)-Polyphenylene sulfide perMIL-M-24519, Type GST-40F (16*5)-Polyester per MIL-M-24519, Type GPT-30F (10*10)-Copper alloy, gold plate -300 Series stainless steel, passivate-300 Series stainless steel, passivate-400 Series stainless stell, passivate -Hysol EE4215/HD3561, color black or Hysol EE4198/HD3561, color greenCoupling Polarization Contact Spacing Centers Shell Styles No. of ContactsCoaxial Cable Wire SizeContact Termination -Friction/jackscrews -Keystone-shaped shells -.050 (1.27)-Plug and receptacle -9thru 100 signal; 5signal/2 coaxial; 5signal/2 power; 11 signal/5 coaxial; 11 signal/5 power; 0signal/10 coaxial; 0signal/10 power; 20 signal/4 coaxial; 20 signal/4 power -RG - 178/U-#24 thru #32 AWG-Multiple indent crimpMECHANICAL FEATURES Performance DataThe table below summarizes the results of key tests performed in accordance with MIL-STD-1344, where applicable. HEDS-9000和HEDS-9100系列光学增量式编码器模块说明书

HEDS-9000和HEDS-9100系列光学增量式编码器模块说明书

DescriptionThe HEDS-9000 and the HEDS-9100 series are high performance, low cost, optical incremental encoder modules. When used with a code w heel, these mod-ules detect rotary position. The modules consist of a lensed (LED) source and a detector IC enclosed in a small C-shaped plastic package. Due to a highly col l imated light source and unique photode t ec t or array, these mod-ules are extremely tolerant to mounting misalignment. The two channel digital outputs and the single 5 V sup-ply input are accessed through five 0.025 inch square pins located on 0.1 inch centers.Standard resolutions for the HEDS-9000 are 500 CPR and 1000 CPR for use with a HEDS-6100 codewheel or equivalent. For the HEDS-9100, standard resolutions between 96 CPR and 512 CPR are available for use with a HEDS-5120 codewheel or equivalent.ESD WARNING: NORMAL HANDLING PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO AVOID STATIC DISCHARGE.Features• High performance • High resolution • Low cost • Easy to mount• No signal adjustment required • Small size• -40°C to 100 °C operating temperature • Two channel quadrature output • TTL compatible • Single 5 V supplyApplicationsThe HEDS-9000 and 9100 provide sophisticated mo-tion detection at a low cost, making them ideal for high volume applications. Typical applica t ions include print-ers, plotters, tape drives, and factory automation equip-ment.Note: Avago Technologies encoders are not recommend-ed for use in safety critical applications. Eg. ABS braking systems, power steering, life support systems and critical care medical equipment. Please contact sales represen-tative if more clarification is needed.HEDS-9000/9100Two Channel Optical Incremental Encoder ModulesData SheetPackage DimensionsHEDS-9x00HEDS-9x01Theory of OperationThe HEDS-9000 and 9100 are C-shaped emitter/detec-tor modules. Coupled with a codewheel, they translate the rotary motion of a shaft into a two-channel digital output. As seen in the block diagram, each module contains a single Light Emitting Diode (LED) as its light source. The light is collimated into a parallel beam by means of a single polycarbon a te lens located directly over the LED. Opposite the emitter is the integrated detector circuit. This I C consists of multiple sets of photodetectors and the signal processing circuitry necessary to product the digital waveforms. The codewheel rotates between the emitter and detec-tor, causing the light beam to be interrupted by the pat-tern of spaces and bars on the code w heel. The photo-diodes which detect these interruptions are arranged in a pattern that corresponds to the radius and design of the ode w heel. These detectors are also spaced such that a light period on one pair of detectors corre s ponds to a dark period on the adjacent pair of detectors. The photo-diode outputs are then fed through the signal process-ing circuitry resulting in A, A, B, and B. Two comparators receive these signals and produce the final outputs for channels A and B. Due to this integrated phasing tech-nique, the digital output of channel A is in quadrature with that of channel B (90 degrees out of phase).ALIGNING RECESS 2.44/2.41 DIA.(0.096/0.095)2.16 (0.085)DEEP1.02 ± 0.10SIDE ASIDE BTYPICAL DIMENSIONS IN MILLIMETERS AND (INCHES)* GAP MEASUREMENT TO THE SURFACE WINDOW = 1.68 ± 0.10 (0.066 ± 0.004)** HEIGHT TO THE WINDOW = 3.02 ± 0.10 (0.119 ± 0.004)ALIGNING RECESS 2.44/2.41 DIA.(0.096/0.095)2.16 (0.085)DEEP1.02 ± 0.10SIDE ASIDE BTYPICAL DIMENSIONS IN MILLIMETERS AND (INCHES)* GAP MEASUREMENT TO THE SURFACE WINDOW = 1.68 ± 0.10 (0.066 ± 0.004)** HEIGHT TO THE WINDOW = 3.02 ± 0.10 (0.119 ± 0.004)Block DiagramOutput WaveformsDefinitionsCount (N): The number of bar and window pairs or counts per revolution (CPR) of the codewheel.1 Shaft Rotation = 360 mechanical degrees,= N cycles.1 cycle (C) = 360 electrical degrees (°e),= 1 bar and window pair.Pulse Width (P): The number of electrical degrees that an output is high during 1 cycle. Data Setup, Hold, and Slew Rate DeratingFor all input signals (DQ, DM) calculate the total required setup time (t DS) and holdtime (t DH) by adding the data sheet t DS(base) and t DH(base) values (see the following table) to the Δt DS and Δt DH derating values, respectively (see the following derating ta-bles). Example: t DS = t DS(base) + Δt DS.The typical t DS slew rate for a rising signal is defined as the slew rate between the lastcrossing of V REF(DC) and the first crossing of V IH(AC)min . The typical t DS slew rate for afalling signal is defined as the slew rate between the last crossing of V REF(DC) and thefirst crossing of V IL(AC)max (see the Typical Slew Rate and t VAC – t DS for DQ Relative toStrobe figure). If the actual signal is consistently earlier than the typical slew rate line in the figure,"Typical Slew Rate and t VAC – t IS for CA and CS# Relative to Clock (CA and CS# Setup,Hold, and Derating), the area shaded gray between the V REF(DC) region and the AC re-gion, use the typical slew rate for the derating value. If the actual signal is later than the typical slew rate line anywhere between the shaded V REF(DC) region and the AC region, the slew rate of a tangent line to the actual signal from the AC level to the DC level isused for the derating value (see figure "Tangent Line – t IS for CA and CS# Relative toClock" in CA and CS# Setup, Hold, and Derating).Th t e typical t DH slew rate for a rising signal is defined as the slew rate between the last crossing of V IL(DC)max and the first crossing of V REF(DC). The typical t DH slew rate for afalling signal is defined as the slew rate between the last crossing of V IH(DC)min and thefirst crossing of V REF(DC) (see the Typical Slew Rate – DH for DQ Relative to Strobe fig-ure).If the actual signal is consistently later than the typical slew rate line between theshaded DC-level-to-V REF(DC) region, use the typical slew rate for the derating value. Ifthe actual signal is earlier than the typical slew rate line anywhere between shaded DC-to-V REF(DC) region, the slew rate of a tangent line to the actual signal from the DC levelto the V REF(DC) level is used for the derating value (see the Tangent Line – t DH for DQwith Respect to Strobe figure). For a valid transition, the input signal must remain above or below V IH /V IL(AC) for thespecified time, t VAC (see the Required Time for Valid Transition – t VAC > V IH(AC) or <V IL(AC) table). The total setup time for slow slew rates could be negative (that is, a valid input signalmay not have reached V IH /V IL(AC) at the time of the rising clock transition). A valid input signal is still required to complete the transition and reach V IH /V IL(AC).For slew rates between the values listed in the following tables, the derating values can be obtained using linear interpolation. Slew rate values are not typically subject to pro-duction testing. They are verified by design and characterization.Table 92: Data Setup and Hold Base Values (>400 MHz, 1 V/ns Slew Rate)Preliminary1Gb: x16, x32 Automotive Mobile LPDDR2 SDRAM Data Setup, Hold, and Slew Rate DeratingTable 92: Data Setup and Hold Base Values (>400 MHz, 1 V/ns Slew Rate) (Continued)Note: 1.AC/DC referenced for 1 V/ns DQ, DM slew rate, and 2 V/ns differential DQS/DQS# slewrate.Table 93: Data Setup and Hold Base Values (<400 MHz, 1 V/ns Slew Rate)Note: 1.AC/DC referenced for 1 V/ns DQ, DM slew rate, and 2 V/ns differential DQS /DQS# slewrate.Table 94: Derating Values for AC/DC-Based t DS/t DH (AC220)t t Note: 1.Shaded cells are not supported.Preliminary1Gb: x16, x32 Automotive Mobile LPDDR2 SDRAM Data Setup, Hold, and Slew Rate DeratingTable 95: Derating Values for AC/DC-Based t DS/t DH (AC300)t tNote: 1.Shaded cells are not supported.Table 96: Required Time for Valid Transition – t VAC > V IH(AC) or < V IL(AC)Preliminary1Gb: x16, x32 Automotive Mobile LPDDR2 SDRAM Data Setup, Hold, and Slew Rate Derating。

They contain conducting and non-conducting materials and can be divided into two groups.a) Printed circuit types and low cost audio types which employ all plastic insulators and casings.b) Rugged, Fire Barrier and High Reliability types with metal casings and either natural rubber, synthetic rubber, plastic or glass insulating materials.Contact materials vary with type of connector and also application and are usually manufactured from either copper, copper alloys, nickel, alumel, chromel or steel. In special applications, other alloys may be specified.2.FIRE CHARACTERISTICS AND ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARDThere is no fire hazard when the connector is correctly wired and used within the specified parameters. Incorrect wiring or assembly of the connector or careless use of metal tools or conductive fluids, or transit damage to any of the component parts may cause electric shock or burns. Live circuits must not be broken by sepa-rating mated connectors as this may cause arcing, ionisation and burning.Heat dissipation is greater at maximum resistance in a circuit. Hot spots may occur when resistance is raised locally by damage, e.g. cracked or deformed contacts, broken strands of wire. Local overheating may also result from the use of the incorrect application tools or from poor quality soldering or slack screw terminals. Overheating may occur if the ratings in the Product Data Sheet/Catalogue are exceeded and can cause breakdown of insulation and hence electric shock. If heating is allowed to continue it intensifies by further increasing the local resistance through loss of temper of spring contacts, formation of oxide film on contacts and wires, and leakage currents through carbonisation of insulation and tracking paths. Fire can then result in the presence of combustible materials and this may release noxious fumes. Overheating may not be visually apparent.Burns may result from touching overheated components.3. HANDLINGCare must be taken to avoid damage to any component parts of electrical connectors during installation and use. Although there are normally no sharp edges, care must be taken when handling certain components to avoid injury to fingers.Electrical connectors may be damaged in transit to the customers, and damage may result in creation of hazards. Products should therefore be examined prior to installation/use and rejected if found to be damaged.4. DISPOSALIncineration of certain materials may release noxious or even toxic fumes.5. APPLICATIONConnectors with exposed contacts should not be selected for use on the current supply side of an electrical circuit, because an electric shock could result from touching exposed contacts on an unmated connector. Voltages in excess of 30 V ac or 42.5 V dc are potentially hazardous and care should be taken to ensure that such voltages can not be transmitted in any way to exposed metal parts of the connector body. The connector and wiring should be checked, before making live, to have no damage to metal parts or insulators, no solder blobs, loose strands, conducting lubricants, swarf, or any other undesired conducting particles. Insulation resistance should be checked to make certain that no low resistance joints or spurious conducting path are existing between contacts and exposed metal parts of the connector body. Further the contact resistance of the connectors should be measured within the electrical circuit in order to identify high resistances which result in excessive connector heating.Always use the correct application tools as specified in the Data Sheet/Catalogue.Do not permit untrained personnel to wire, assemble or tramper with connectors. For operation voltage please see appropriate national regulations.IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION.1.Air and creepage paths/Operating voltageThe admissible operating voltages depend on the individual applications and the valid national and other applicable safety regulations. For this reason the air and creepage path data are only reference values. Observe reduction of air and creepage paths due to PC board and/or harness-ing.2.TemperatureAll information given are temperature limits. The operation temperature depends on the individual application.3.Other important informationCannon continuously endeavours to improve their products. Microminiature Connectors
Hermetic-MDMH
23
Dimensions shown in inch (mm)
Specifications and dimensions subject to change
MDMH connectors are ideal for applications requiring a better seal than can be achieved with epoxy resins.
The connector utilizes size 24 AWG contacts that are compression glass sealed through a steel shell and into a diallyl pthalate front end insulator. An interfacial seal provides
environmental protection when mated. We recommend MDMH receptacles be soldered to the chassis or container for a completely leak-proof joint.
MDMH receptacles mate with standard MDM plugs.
Features
•Hermetically sealed connector designed for those applications where a vacuum, inert gas or a constant controlled pressure are required to eliminate adverse effects creat-ed by atmospheric changes.•Steel shells to provide greater strength, pre-vent chipping, cracking or breaking, offer electro-magnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding.•Silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide a moisture and humidity seal between each contact and between contacts and shell.
