connect v.
(1)用作及物动词,常用于“connect A with/to B”结构。

The train connects with the one to Glasgow.这班火车与去格拉斯哥的那班相衔接。
(3)be connected with意为“与······有关,与······有联系”。
She was connected with the murder.她与谋杀案有关。

温馨提示not only...but also...连接两个并列主语,谓语动词的形式由靠近的主语决定
