介绍一个地方去一个地方旅游英语作文
介绍一个地方去一个地方旅游英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Trip to the Grand CanyonHave you ever been on a really long road trip? This summer, my family and I went on the longest road trip ever - all the way from our home in New York to the Grand Canyon in Arizona! It took us almost a whole week of driving to get there, but it was totally worth it. The Grand Canyon is one of the coolest places I've ever seen.We left New York after my last day of school and started driving west. The first couple of days felt like forever in the car. My little brother kept asking "Are we there yet?" over and over again. My parents tried to keep us entertained by playing road trip games and spotting different license plates from all the states we passed through. Some games were fun, like seeing who could spot the most different kinds of trucks. Other games were kind of lame though, like my dad's quizzes about state capitals (thanks a lot for that one, Dad). After what felt like 100 hours in the car, we finally made it to Arizona. We stayed in a hotel in Flagstaff the night before going to the Grand Canyon. I had no idea how incredibly massive this thing would be! The next morning we drove to the South Rim entrance and got our first look at the canyon. My jaw dropped - it was grander than I ever imagined! The Grand Canyon isn't just some hole in the ground. It's a gigantic 277 river mile long crevice carved into the Earth over millions and millions of years by the Colorado River. It's over a mile deep in some spots and up to 18 miles wide from rim to rim! We first stopped at Mather Point, one of the most popular viewpoints on the South Rim. From there, we could look out over the vast layers of red rock, all shaped over eons by wind and water. It seemed to stretch out forever in front of us. My dad said we were actually looking at rocks that were over 2 billion years old - that's older than dinosaurs! After admiring the view for a while (and taking about a million pictures), we decided to hike part of the South Rim Trail so we could look over the edge of the canyon. This trail runs right along the rim, giving amazing views at every turn. We only hiked a couple miles out and back, but even that felt like a lotwith the intense desert heat. I don't know how people hike all the way down into the canyon and back up - that seems impossible! The next day we took one of the free shuttles along the South Rim and stopped at some other viewpoints. Each one seemed even more mind-blowing than the last. My favorite was Hopi Point, where we could look all the way across the vast canyon towards the North Rim. I've never felt so tiny compared to something so immense and ancient. We also walked out on part of the Rim Trail to Hermits Rest, one of the historic stone buildings constructed in the 1920s and 30s. It had a awesome gift shop inside stocked with all kinds of cool Native American art and jewelry. On our third day there, we went for a trail ride on mules along the canyon rim. That was a little scary but really fun. The wranglers told us all about the human history of people living and exploring in the canyon area, starting with the Ancestral Puebloan people hundreds of years ago. We felt a little braver getting up close to the edge while riding those surefooted mules. My parents had booked one of the helicopter tours for our last morning so we could see the canyon from the air. I've never been in a helicopter before, and it was so cool looking down intothe massive chasm with the river snaking along the bottom. The pilot pointed out different famous rock formations and showed us where the Bright Angel Trail zig-zags its way down to the river.I don't think I'd ever want to actually hike all the way down there and back up though - that's just too far! After our helicopter tour, we had to start the long drive back home to New York. I was really sad to leave the Grand Canyon. It's just such an incredible natural wonder. The scale of it is so hard to comprehend until you're actually there looking over the rim. Part of me wouldn't have minded camping for another week so we could've explored more trails and overlooks.I feel really lucky that my family made this trip happen. Most kids my age haven't seen anything quite as amazing as the Grand Canyon. It's crazy to think that a mighty river carved such an immense chasm into the earth over billions of years. Looking out over it, you can't help but feel very small compared to the size and age of this natural masterpiece. It reminds you that the Earth is always slowly changing and transforming itself through time, with rivers and rain and wind all sculpting the landscape every day.I really hope every kid gets the chance to visit the Grand Canyon at some point. It's one of those places that makes youappreciate how awesome nature can be. And it was cool getting to go on an big adventure with my family to see it too. Even with all the driving, I'll always have great memories of this trip. Who knows, maybe one day I'll even be brave enough to hike all the way down to the bottom! Although I don't think my parents would ever let me do that...篇2My Dream Vacation to the Bahamas!Hello everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my dream vacation spot – the Bahamas! The Bahamas is a beautiful group of islands in the Caribbean Sea, and it looks like the perfect place for a kid's vacation. Let me tell you why I want to go there so badly!First of all, the Bahamas has the most incredible beaches I've ever seen. The sand is perfectly white and soft, and the water is the bluest, clearest blue you can imagine. It's like a tropical paradise come to life! I love swimming and building sandcastles, so I know I would have an absolute blast playing on those pristine beaches all day long. I could swim, snorkel, and maybe even try surfing or boogie boarding if my parents let me!But the fun doesn't stop at the beaches. The Bahamas is also home to tons of awesome activities and attractions that are perfect for kids. One place I really want to go is the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. It has incredible waterparks with huge slides, a river ride, and pools everywhere you look. They even have dolphin encounters where you can swim and play with real bottlenose dolphins! How cool is that?Another thing I'm really excited about is all the opportunities to see marine life up close. The Bahamas has some of the clearest waters in the world, which means the snorkeling and scuba diving is out of this world. I could spot brightly colored fish, coral reefs, maybe even a shark or two if I'm lucky! I've watched so many animal documentaries about the creatures in the Caribbean and I would love to see them in person. For a kid who loves adventures, the Bahamas seems like it was made for me. There are tons of places to go exploring –swimming through underwater caves, hiking through lush forests, visiting little villages, or taking a boat tour around the tiny islands. My parents might have to pull me away from all the exciting things to do!Of course, I can't forget about the food! The Bahamas has lots of delicious fresh seafood like conch, crab, lobster, and fish. They put it in stews, fritters, salads, and more. I'm not a picky eater, but even if I was, the Bahamas has so many tasty options like pizza, hamburgers, and chicken fingers too. I've heard you can even find places that make algren fritters, which are like little doughnut holes made from pumpkin! I'd need to save plenty of room for dessert. When we're not out exploring and having fun, it would be so relaxing just to hang out at our beach resort. I could play on the beach or in the pool, read books, watch movies, or even try out some fun indoor activities if it rains. My parents could sit back and sip drinks with little umbrellas while working on their tans. A kid's dream vacation for sure! The biggest reason I want to go to the Bahamas though is because of how warm and sunny it is all year round. As a kid from Michigan where we have cold, snowy winters, I would love to experience an island paradise where it's summertime every single day. No jackets or snow boots needed! I could run around in shorts and t-shirts or even my swimsuit all day if I wanted. We'd have endless opportunities to be outside soaking up the sun and fresh air.I've been doing lots of research on the Bahamas and it just seems like the coolest place on earth for a kid. The beaches, water activities, amazing animals, yummy food, fun attractions –what more could a 10-year-old guy ask for? It would be the trip of a lifetime! I really hope my parents take me to the Bahamas for our next big family vacation. I'm already packing my sunscreen and swimsuits just in case. A kid can dream, right? If you ever get the chance to go to the Bahamas, I highly recommend it! This tropical paradise is perfect for kids and adults alike. You can relax on the beautiful beaches, swim with marine animals, go on awesome adventures, eat delicious food, and make lifelong family memories. What could be better than that? The Bahamas is calling my name and I can't wait to get there someday!篇3A Wondrous Adventure to the Grand CanyonHi everyone! I want to tell you all about the most amazing trip I took with my family last summer. We went to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and let me tell you, it was like nothing I've ever seen before! The journey there was pretty long. We had to take a plane from our home in New York all the way across the country to Arizona. I had never been on a plane for that long before, and Iwas a little nervous. But my parents made sure I had my handheld video games, books, snacks, and everything I needed to stay entertained and happy. Before I knew it, we were landing in Phoenix! From Phoenix, we rented a car and started the drive up to the Grand Canyon National Park. It took us a few hours, but I didn't mind because the scenery was already starting to look really cool and different from back home. We saw wide open deserts, tall cactus plants, and reddish-brown rock formations in the distance. I had never seen landscapes quite like that. When we finally made it to the park entrance, I could hardly contain my excitement. I kept asking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" like a pesky little kid. My parents chuckled and said "Almost there, just be patient!" Eventually, we went around one last curve, and then...woah. The Grand Canyon suddenly appeared before my eyes, and it was one of the mostjaw-dropping sights I've ever witnessed.Words can't really do it justice, but I'll try my best to describe this natural wonder. Essentially, the Grand Canyon is a massive, massive hole in the ground. But not just any hole - it's over a mile deep, up to 18 miles wide in some spots, and stretches on for 277 river miles long. The sides of the canyon are made up of redrock that has been eroded and sculpted over millions of years by the Colorado River and other forces of nature into fascinating ridges, buttes, and pinnacles. When you're standing on the rim of the canyon, you feel so tiny compared to this colossal gorge carved into the earth's surface. You can see for miles and miles across the vast openness. The different layers of red rock intermingled with greys, oranges, and purples make it look like a delicious rocky layer cake. It's all just so...grand!We stayed for a few nights in one of the lodges inside the park boundaries. Every day, we spent hours upon hours traversing along the different hiking trails on the rim, stopping at all the best viewpoints to gaze across the incredible vistas. We spotted lots of fascinating desert plants and wildlife along the way too - cactus flowers, lizards, jack rabbits, and more. My favorite view was at Mather Point where we could see all the way across the mighty bend in the canyon to the other side miles away. So majestic! One day, we even got to go down into the canyon itself by taking a tour ride on these funny-looking sure-footed mules. My mule's name was Lil' Sebastian and he was very friendly despite being a bit stinky. The trail went on for miles, zig-zagging its waydown deeper and deeper, giving us all sorts of new angles and perspectives to view the layers of rock up close. It felt like we were traveling back in time, seeing millions of years of geological history right in front of us. Our guide taught us so much about how the canyon was formed over epochs by the eroding power of the Colorado River. I couldn't believe something so small compared to the massive canyon could have created something so enormously vast and breathtaking. After our long mule ride back up to the rim, we were exhausted but exhilarated. That night, we saw the most incredible starry night sky you can imagine since there's no light pollution out there in the desert. The Milky Way stretched across the heavens in a glittering band. I felt so peaceful and happy, sitting outside our little cabin gazing up at the cosmos after my big adventure down into the depths of the Grand Canyon that day. What a truly special place this is!On our last day there, we drove over to the less-crowded North Rim area where we could look out across the canyon in a whole new way. This viewpoint showed off the canyon's more lushly forested areas and impressive buttes jutting up from the bottom. We strapped on our hiking boots and ventured down one of the trails to get another glimpse into the ancient carvedmajesty. I don't think I'll ever forgot how tiny and insignificant, yet totally awed and inspired I felt amidst that colossal rocky wonderland. After so many days of hiking, exploring, and immersing ourselves in the incredible scenery and geology, it was hard to say goodbye. The Grand Canyon had cast its spell on me and I knew I'd be dreaming about coming back one day very soon. As we winged our way back home through the sky, I kept the window shade open so I could look down and try to spot that massive gash in the earth's surface from high above, burning the sight into my memory forever. What an adventure! The Grand Canyon is undoubtedly one of the most amazing and marvelous natural attractions on Planet Earth. The scale of it, the vibrant colors, the fascinating geology, the desert plants and critters, the sense of being in an ancient and timeless place...it's an experience that photos just can't capture. You have to go there and see it for yourself through your own eyes. I'm so grateful my family took me on such an unforgettable trip to witness this incredible wonder of the world. I'm already dreaming of my next adventure - where should I go next?!。

旅游国家或城市并介绍美景英语作文初二
旅游国家或城市并介绍美景英语作文初二全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Trip to New ZealandHi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you all about my family's trip to New Zealand last summer. It was the best vacation ever! New Zealand is an incredible country with amazing natural scenery. I had wanted to go there for years after seeing pictures of its stunning landscapes in my geography books at school. Finally getting to visit was a dream come true!We flew from Los Angeles to Auckland, which is the biggest city in New Zealand. The flight took forever - like 13 hours! I was so antsy to get there but the time passed pretty quickly because I watched a bunch of movies and played games on the plane's entertainment system. When we finally landed, I could hardly contain my excitement. Our first stop was Auckland itself. It's a really cool city located right on the ocean with an awesome harbor and lots of little volcanic islands everywhere. We went up the Sky Tower, which is this huge tower with an observation deck at the top. Theviews over the city and out to the Pacific Ocean were just breathtaking. But as awesome as Auckland was, the real highlights were yet to come when we left the city and explored the natural scenery around the rest of the North Island. Our first stop was the Waitomo Caves, which are famous for their glow worms. We went on a tour deep underground and it was like the roof of the caves was filled with thousands of tiny bright lights - it looked just like the night sky! It was magical.Next up was Rotorua, which is an area known for its geothermal activity. You could definitely smell the sulfur in the air as we drove through town! We stopped at a geothermal park filled with bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers, and bright neon pools of mineral water. It felt like we had been transported to another planet. The coolest part was getting to see real flowing lava! But my absolute favorite place on the North Island was the Shire from the Lord of the Rings movies. We got to visit the actual movie set in a place called Matamata. It was surreal walking through the little Hobbit holes and gardens just like in the films. As a huge Lord of the Rings fan, I was completely geeking out the entire time. I'll never forget that experience! After exploring the North Island, we hopped on a short flight to the South Island. This island was even more breathtakingly beautiful than the first. Our first stop was Franz Josef Glacier, which is this massive river of ice slowly inching through the mountains. We went on a hiking tour right up onto the glacier itself. The ice was incredibly blue and there were deep crevasses everywhere. I've never seen anything quite like it.The next couple of days were spent driving through the Southern Alps. The mountain scenery was just unreal with jagged snow-capped peaks, bright blue lakes, and gorgeous valleys. We stopped for a cruise through the stunning Milford Sound, which is this incredible fjord surrounded by waterfalls and sheer cliffs. The water was so clear and still - it perfectly reflected the mountains all around us.My other favorite spot on the South Island was the pancake-flat Mackenzie region, which had some of the most incredible scenery I've ever witnessed. We visited during sunset and watched in awe as the light turned the Southern Alps a million different shades of pink and orange. The whole landscape looked like it was straight out of a storybook. In that moment, I felt like I was living inside a painting. We ended our trip in Queenstown, which is this awesome little town surrounded by the huge Lake Wakatipu and towering mountains. It's known as the "adventure capital" of New Zealand because of all the extreme activities you can do there. I wasn't quite brave enough to go bungee jumping or skydiving, but we did go jet boating and luging, which was an absolute blast!I could go on and on about all the incredible scenery we saw in New Zealand. From the subtropical beaches and vineyards in the north to the soaring peaks and shimmering glaciers in the south, it's one of the most stunningly beautiful countries in the world. I feel so fortunate that I got to experience it all at such a young age.Next year for summer vacation, my parents are talking about maybe going to Iceland or Norway. While those places look amazing too, I don't think anything will quite top the awesomeness of New Zealand for me. That trip was just pure magic from start to finish. I'll never forget all the incredible vistas, unique landscapes, and mind-blowing natural wonders I got to see. It's a trip that made me appreciate just how powerful and beautiful Mother Nature can be.If you ever get a chance to go to New Zealand, you absolutely have to take it. It's an adventure you'll never forget! This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm already counting down the days until I can go back and explore even more of New Zealand's magnificence.篇2My Amazing Trip to Italy!Wow, I just got back from the coolest trip ever to Italy! It was so fun and I saw so many amazing things. I want to tell you all about it.We started our trip in Rome, which is the capital city of Italy. Rome is an ancient city that's been around for thousands of years. There are ruins everywhere of old buildings and monuments from way back in history. It's really neat! The first place we visited was the Colosseum. The Colosseum is this humongous oval-shaped stadium that was built a long time ago when Rome was the center of a big empire. It's made out of stone and concrete and it's so tall you can see it from all over the city. We went inside and I couldn't believe how big it was! Back in the day, the Romans would have gladiator fights and other events there with lions and stuff. So cool!Next up was the Roman Forum, which is a bunch of more ancient ruins right next to the Colosseum. Our tour guide said itused to be the center of Roman public life where there were markets, temples, and government buildings. You can still see the remains of arches, columns, and other old structures. It made me feel like I had traveled back in time thousands of years. After the Forum, we went to see some famous fountains in Rome like the Trevi Fountain and the Fountain of the Four Rivers. They were breathtakingly beautiful with sculpture and cascades of water. I tossed a coin into the Trevi to make a wish to come back to Rome someday. Apparently, that's what you're supposed to do!The next day, we visited the Vatican, which is the headquarters of the Catholic Church. St. Peter's Basilica there is the biggest church I've ever seen in my whole life! The artwork and architecture inside was mind-blowing. And we got to see the Sistine Chapel where Michelangelo painted that amazing scene on the ceiling. My neck got tired from looking up at it so much. After Rome, we took a train to Florence, which is another amazing Italian city. Florence has sooooo many beautiful old churches and buildings from a time period called the Renaissance. The biggest church there is the Duomo, which has a massive domed roof on top. You can actually climb up to the top of the dome and see incredible views of the whole city.Speaking of views, we also climbed up this really tall tower in Florence called the Tower of Giotto. It was pretty nerve-wracking because the steps were tiny and spiraled all the way up, but once we made it to the top the panorama of Florence's red-tiled rooftops was spectacular! What else did we do in Florence? Oh yeah, we went to some of the best art museums in the world like the Uffizi Gallery and the Galleria dell'Accademia to see world-famous sculptures and paintings. My favorite was Michelangelo's statue of David – it's huge and so life-like and detailed! I've never seen anything like it.Our final stop in Italy was the romantic city of Venice, which is known for its canals instead of streets. We had to take water buses and gondolas everywhere we went because the main form of transportation is by boat. It was crazy seeing houses, shops, churches, and everything built right along the waterways. The highlight of Venice was visiting St. Mark's Square and the amazing St. Mark's Basilica church. The architecture of the church looked kind of Eastern and Oriental to me. But the best part was going up to the terrace on the basilica's roof and seeing the incredible views of the whole square below. Everywhere youlooked there were domes and bell towers and beautiful old buildings. We also took a gondola ride down some of Venice's small canals, which was a little scary because the boats can get rocked around easily. But our gondolier wore a striped shirt and sang Italian songs to us as we glided through the narrow waterways. Riding a gondola is probably the most Venice-y thing you can do!All in all, my trip to Italy was stupendous! I saw so many fantastic historic sites, ate delicious food like pizza and pasta, and just had an unforgettable experience. I learned so much about history, art, and culture too. I already can't wait to go back someday. Italy is a magical place!篇3My Amazing Trip to Italy!Hi everyone! During my summer vacation, my family and I went on the most awesome trip to Italy. Italy is a country in Europe and it has so many cool things to see and do. I'm going to tell you all about the places we visited and the fun we had. Get ready for an adventure! We started our trip in Rome, the capital city of Italy. Rome is an ancient city with tons of history. One of the first places we went was the Colosseum. The Colosseum is this massive stadium that was built a super long time ago when Romans had gladiator fights and lion attacks for entertainment. Can you believe that?! We got to walk all around inside it and imagine what it must have been like with thousands of screaming fans watching the battles. So crazy!Another amazing spot in Rome is the Trevi Fountain. This huge, beautiful fountain has intricate stone carvings and glistening water. Did you know if you toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, it means you'll return to Rome one day? I made sure to throw in a couple of coins just in case! The fountain was breathtaking, especially when it was all lit up at night. We also visited the Vatican, which is the headquarters of the Catholic Church. St. Peter's Basilica there is the largest church in the world! The inside was decorated with stunning painted ceilings, massive pillars, and incredible statues. We even got to see the Sistine Chapel where Michelangelo painted those famous frescoes on the ceiling. His artwork is so vibrant and detailed –it's mind-blowing that he did all that laying on his back! After soaking up the Roman sites, we headed to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. One of the coolest things we saw there was the statue of David by Michelangelo. It's seriously huge – like over 17 feet tall! And it's crazy that Michelangelo carved the whole thing out of a single slab of marble. The details are just perfect down to every muscle, vein, and curl of hair. Seeing it in person was incredible! My favorite thing in Florence though was climbing up the Duomo. The Duomo is this gigantic domed cathedral with an awesome tiled roof. We had to go up a ton of narrow stairways inside the walls, but when we got to the top, the view was spectacular! We could see the entire city from up there, including gorgeous historic buildings with orange tile roofs. The best part was being able to walk around the circumference of the dome itself. So cool! The last stop on our trip was the canals of Venice. We took a gondola ride along the winding waterways, which was like something out of a storybook. Our gondolier wore a trendy striped shirt and sang Italian songs as he rowed us under adorable bridges and past colorful buildings. The canals were lined with restaurants, shops, and ancient architecture. I loved seeing all the details up close from the water level. In one of the squares, we watched some street performers who were painting portraits, making glass animals, and doing funny skits. The glass-blowing was amazing – the guy could twist and shape the hot molten glass into horses, birds, and all kinds of crazy shapes right before our eyes! We also tried some delicious Italian food in Venice like thin crust pizzas, fresh pastas, and the most amazing gelato ice cream.By the end of our trip, we had gotten to experience so much history, art, culture, and beauty all across Italy. From the ancient Roman ruins to the Renaissance masterpieces to the unique canals of Venice, every place we went was more incredible than the last. We took about a million photos to try and capture all the awesomeness, but you really just have to see it for yourself. If you ever get the chance to go to Italy, you absolutely have to go! Trust me, it's an adventure you'll never forget. That's all for my journey for now. Thanks for reading, world travelers! Maybe I'll tell you about another one of my epic trips next time. Until then, ciao!篇4My Awesome Trip to Italy!Wow, let me tell you about the super cool trip I just went on with my family to Italy! It was the best vacation ever. We flew all the way from America and landed in Rome first. As soon as we got off the plane, I could tell Italy was going to be amazing.Rome is an incredible city with so much history. Our first stop was the Colosseum. This giant amphitheater is so old - it was built way back in 70 AD! Can you believe humans made something that huge and that long ago? The Colosseum used to have crowds of 50,000 people watching gladiator fights and other entertainment. Walking through the arched entrances and onto the grounds where battles took place was awesome. I tried to picture what it was like with the crowds cheering fighters on.Next up was the Trevi Fountain. This beautiful fountain is located in a lively square surrounded by buildings. The fountain's sculptures are gorgeous, especially the big statue of Neptune riding a chariot pulled by horses. According to legend, if you toss a coin into the fountain over your shoulder, it means you'll return to Rome again one day. Of course I made a wish and tossed my coin to ensure I come back! The next morning, we headed to the Vatican - which is the smallest country in the world! It's totally surrounded by Rome. St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican is hands down the most amazingchurch I've ever seen. The size of it is mind-blowing. The ceilings are painted with brilliant frescoes and the architecture is stunning. We climbed up to the cupola for an incredible view overlooking St. Peter's Square. After Rome, we traveled to Florence, which is a beautiful city too. I loved walking across the Ponte Vecchio bridge which has little shops built right onto it. The bridge crisscrosses over the Arno River. In an open square called the Piazza della Signoria, we saw cool statues like a replica of Michelangelo's famous David sculpture. The highlight of Florence though was visiting the Galleria dell'Accademia to see the real David statue up close. Let me just say - pictures don't do it justice at all! The 17-foot tall marble masterpiece is one of the most incredible works of art I've ever witnessed. The detail and life-like nature of David's body is breathtaking. He has a pretty intimidating stare too!Our last stop was the oceanside town of Cinque Terre. This place consisted of five little seaside villages along the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. We took a train between the towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Each one was more picturesque than the last withtheir colorful buildings, winding roads and surrounded by terraced vineyards. In Monterosso, we walked along the beach and I got to dip my toes in the beautiful blue-green waters. Vernazza might have been my favorite village with its small harbor, castle ruins, and all the shops and restaurants lining the corridors. From the trails high up, you get awesome views of the cites perched along the rugged coastline. Cinque Terre felt like a idyllic, romantic paradise. On our last night in Italy, we had a big delicious dinner of authentic pasta, bread, wine and gelato. I tried so many new foods like risotto, gnocchi, prosciutto and a bunch of other Italian specialties I can't even pronounce! The pizza and pasta just taste way better in Italy than anywhere else.Italy was an incredible vacation full of amazing sights, centuries of history, beautiful churches and architecture, incredible artwork, and a whole different culture to explore. I'll never forget the landscapes, the food, or the adventures I had with my family. I learned so much and made memories that will last forever. I hope I can go back to Italy again someday soon!篇5My Awesome Trip to Japan!Wow, you guys, I just got back from the coolest trip ever to Japan and I can't wait to tell you all about it! My family and I spent two whole weeks exploring different cities and seeing the most amazing sights. It was like something out of a movie or video game come to life!We started our journey in Tokyo, the massive capital city. The first thing that blew my mind were the soaring skyscrapers and dazzling neon lights everywhere you look. Downtown Tokyo is just covered in huge, bright video screens and signs. It's like an amusement park for your eyes! We stayed in a traditional Japanese inn called a ryokan and even got to wear yukatas, which are like thin cotton robes. So comfy and fun!In Tokyo, we visited some awesome places like the Imperial Palace with its beautiful gardens and huge stone walls. I felt like a little hire walking through the palace grounds. We also went up to the observation deck of the Tokyo Skytree which is this enormous tower that's even taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris! The view from the top stretched on forever in every direction. My favorite stop though was the Ghibli Museum all about the famous Japanese animation studio. They had recreated scenesand characters from classic movies like Spirited Away. So amazing! After mind-blowing Tokyo, we took a shinkansen bullet train out to Kyoto. These high-speed trains are crazy fast and smooth, zipping through the Japanese countryside at over 300 km/h! It made the three hour trip just zip by. Kyoto is brilliant because it's an ancient city absolutely jam-packed with shrines, temples, palaces and gardens from centuries ago. First off, we toured Nijo Castle which was built in 1603 as the shogun's residence. The creaky "nightingale" wooden floors were designed to make a chirping sound to warn of anybody sneaking around! How neat is that?I could spend an entire essay just talking about the ethereal beauty of the countless shrines and temples in Kyoto. Like Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, a three-story temple completely covered in gleaming gold leaf. It looked like a million gems glittering in the sun when we saw it reflecting across the tranquil pond. Then you have places like the ancient Buddhist zen garden at Ginkakuji, the Silver Pavilion, with its raked sand and boulders designed to facilitate meditation. Fushimi Inari was probably the most memorable though - a whole mountain blanketed in over5,000 vermilion torii gates winding up through the forest trails! I've never seen anything like it.We also spent a few days in Nara, an even older capital city that also has lots of amazing historic treasures. Like the Daibutsu, an enormous 15 meter tall bronze Buddha statue housed in an immense wooden hall. Just meditating in front of that colossal Buddha figure was a powerful experience, even for a kid like me. Nara Park in the center of the city is famous for its free-roaming deer that have become semi-tame and will walk right up to tourists hoping for snacks. They were so gentle and cute, but watch out for them trying to munch your maps or belongings! Our last stop was the magical city of Hiroshima which has incredible modern attractions like the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park built to commemorate the 1945 atomic bombing. The park is full of wonderful monuments and museums, but also has a beautiful garden with over 600 cherry blossom trees. They must look spectacular when they bloom in spring! We took a ferry ride across the bay to the sacred Miyajima Island which has its very own "floating" torii gate that sticks up out of the sea during high tide. I'd never seen anything like that iconic bright orange gate just sitting out in the water. There were so many more amazing sights we saw in Japan –from the robot floor guides at our Nagoya hotel to spotting real-life geisha in the streets of Kyoto! Japan is like a whole different world full of wonders around every corner. Their culture is just mesmerizing and their cities and landmarks areout-of-this-world beautiful. If I had to sum it up, I'd say Japan feels like you've traveled a thousand years into the past and a hundred years into the future, all at the same time! I'll never forget this bucket list trip. Thanks for reading all about my awesome Japanese adventure. Get your parents to take you there soon, it's a destination every kid has to experience!。

介绍地方的英语作文篇1My favourate place is the Great Wall. It is more than ten thousand kilometers, like a long dragon flying among the mountains, which is the most famous interest of China. It is a symbol of Chinese civilization, has been playing an important role in the history and culture of China. When i saw the Great Wall for the first time,i was shocked by its view.I like the Great Wall, it is my favourate place.介绍地方的英语作文篇2Different people might choose to visit different places due to their different places of birth, family conditions, relevant experiences, and even different levels of education. People who were born in New York are less likely to be interested in New York any more for the simple reason that everything is just too familiar already. Children from less well-off families might find it difficult to afford a visit to a faraway place. Those who have been working in Tokyo for years are surely looking forward to touring around places out of town. Places with numerous sites of historical interest may not be so appealing to people with only a primary school education. Things are just like this in our real life. With all aspects considered, the most desirable place that I can think of going to at present is Xi’an in China for the simple reason that I have never been yet. Firstly, I would like to visit places where I have never been to. Xi’an, as a famous city with profound historical and cultural significance in China, enjoys a history that can be dated back to several thousand years ago. From the first dynasty when China became a unified country, namely the Qin Dynasty, this place was the capital of successive dynasties, thus it has many a site of historical and cultural heritage. As the saying goes: If you want to acquire a sense of history about China, visit Xi’an. A visit to these heritages, I am sure, will let me learn about what China was like in the past and how people lived at ancient times. I’ve long heard of the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of the First Emperor—Qin Shihuang, and have seen relevant pictures of it: really grand and exquisite, next to none in the world. However, I have never seen it on site with my own eyes, which could be a kind of regret. Therefore, I want to have this dream of mine realized at the earliest possible time. Secondly, I would like to try the local delicacies of Xi’an. Iwas long told about the unique flavor of the local cuisine there, which is so different from the food cooked in my hometown. Moreover, many people who were back from Xi’an are commenting so much favorably on the food there and are actually making no effort to hide their liking of certain dishes, giving me the impression that it would be a regret-whole-life thing if one does not try them in person. So on and so forth, this makes another reason which urges me to go to Xi’an for a visit. Of course, there are countless places that I have never been to, both at home and abroad: Sichuan, Chongqing, Xijiang, Tibet, Paris, Berlin, to name just a few. I know to the best of my knowledge that they all have their distinct features which hold so much attraction to me and I will definitely visit all of them when conditions allow. However, for the time being, I just want to go to Xi’an. Above are two main reasons for me to have decided to visit Xi’an. Whatever others may think, for me alone, they do make sense.以上便是我选择去西安游览的两个主要原因,不管别人会怎么想,最起码,我就是这样认为的.介绍地方的英语作文篇3Today, i experienced the most irritating traffic jam ever in mylife. My father was driving me to watch a movie with my friends from high school, who I have not seen since graduation. I was hoping to have a wonderful re-union with them. However, our car was stuck in the middle of **** road because two drivers were fighting and their cars blocked the way. No one was able to persuade them to quit quarreling. I could not stand the situation anymore: I stepped out the car and disputed with those two men. It did not work out the way I had expected. The voices of the two men were so loud that even local policeman had to drive by. The policeman calmed down the two drivers and strived his best to dissolve the situation. With such exertions, the policeman finally made the road clean and the traffic started to move on afterward. As a result of one hour traffic jam, I missed the entire movie and apologized to my friends.Tian'anmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), is located in the center of Beijing. It was first built in 1417 and named Chengtianmen (the Gate of Heavenly Succession). At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was seriously damaged by war. When it was rebuilt under the Qing in 1651, it was renamed Tian'anmen, and served as the main entrance to the Imperial City, the administrative and residential quarters for court officials and retainers. The southern sections of the Imperial City wall still stand on both sides of the Gate. The tower at the top of the gate is nine-room wide and five –room deep. According to the Book of Changes, the two numbers nine and five, when combined, symbolize the supreme status of a sovereign. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Tian'anmen was the place where state ceremonies took place. The most important one of them was the issuing of imperial edicts, which followed these steps:1) The Minister of Rites would receive the edict in Taihedian(Hall of Supreme Harmony), where the Emperor was holding his court. The minister would then carry the decree on a yunpan (tray of cloud), and withdraw from the hall via Taihemen (Gate of supreme Harmony)2) The Minister would put the tray in a miniature longting (dragon pavilion). Beneath a yellow umbrella and carry it via Wumen (Meridian Gate), to Tian'anmen Gate tower. 3) A courtier would be invested to proclaim the edict. The civil and military officials lining both sides of the gateway beneath the tower would prostrate themselves in the direction of the emperor in waiting for the decree to the proclaimed.4) The courtier would then put the edict in a phoenix-shaped wooden box and lower it from the tower by means of a silk cord. The document would finally be carried in a similar tray of cloud under a yellow umbrella to the Ministry of Rites.5) The edict, copied on yellow pa-pe-r, would be made known to the whole country. Such a procewas historically recorded as " Imperial Edict Issued by Golden Phoenix". During the Ming and Qing dynasties Tian'anmen was the most important passage. It was this gate that the Emperor and his retinue would go through on their way to the altars for ritual and religious activities. On the Westside of Tian'anmen stands ZhongshanPark (Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Park), and on the east side, the Working People's Cultural Palace. The Park was formerly called Shejitan (Altar of Land and Grain), built in 1420 for offering sacrificial items to the God of Land. It was opened to the public as a park in 1914 and its name was changed in 1928 to the present one in memory of the great pioneer of the Chinese Democratic Revolution. The Working People's Cultural Palace used to be Taimiao (theSupreme Ancestral Temple), where tablets of the deceased dynastic rulers were kept. The stream in front of Tian'anmen is called Waijinshuihe (Outer Golden River), with seven marble bridges spanning over it . Of these seven bridges, historical records say the middle one was for the exclusive use of the emperor and was accordingly called Yuluqiao (Imperial Bridge). The bridges flanking it on either side were meant for the members of the royal family and were therefore called Wanggongqiao (Royal's Bridges). Farther away on each side of the two were bridges for officials ranking above the third order and were named Pinjiqiao (ministerial Bridges). The remaining two bridges were for the use by the retinue below the third order and were called Gongshengqiao (common Bridges). They are the one in front of the Supreme Ancestral Temple to the east and the one in front of the Altar of land and Grain to the west.介绍地方的英语作文篇4Beijing is the capital of China.
