一．副词的比较等级形式的变化与形容词大致相同，在词尾加er或est.
hard－harder－hardest
fast－faster－fastest
late－later－latest
early－earlier－earliest
quickly－more quickly－most quickly
carefully－more carefully －most carefully
loudly－more loudly－most loudly
不规则变化：
well－better－best badly－worse－worst
much－more－most
far－farther－farthest或further－furthest
二．副词比较等级的用法。

1.副词用来修饰动词
Maria cooked very successfully.
Jane cooked more successfully.
I cooked the most successfully.
It rained heavily.
He drives very carefully.
2.副词比较级和最高级还可以用在一些特别的结构或短语中。

（1）more and more 越来越……
It rained more and more heavily.雨下得越来越大了。

He played the piano better and better.他的钢琴弹得越来越好。

3.副词最高级前可以省略定冠词the.
Tom runs the fastest in the race.。
