Teaching contents
Useful expressions in each unit of grade four,last term.
一、Teaching analysis
1.Textbook analysis:The knowledge of this lesson is focus on the learning and revision of the useful expressions in each unit.I just need to help the students to card the sentences we learned before .The students should learn how to express sentences in our daily life.But some of them have difficults in reading.I should be carefully and patiently when I
present the sentences to them.
2.Students analysis:The students in Grade four have learned English for one year.Most of them are interested in learning English.Especilly the language studying.The contents of this lesson have a close relationship with our daily life.So it can stimulate their interests in learning.However,some of them have difficults in learning and speaking.So when I write the instructional design,I would consider the different levels of the students .And then I hope all of them can join the class and catch the knowledge at last.
三、The teaching objectives
1.Knowledge objectives:
a)Be able to listen、speak and read the sentences .
b)Be able to express the sentences to describe the life .
2.Ability objectives:The students can use the the sentences we learned today to ask and describe one’s simple daily life.
3.Emotional objectives:The students should learn how to cooperate with each other in the daily life.And be accustomed to use English to communite with others. And then pay more attention to our family at last.
四、Teaching focus
Be able to use the sentences to communite or ask and answer with
others.
五、The difficult points in teaching
Be able to express the sentences in daily life.

七、Teaching process
Step one:Warm up / review
1.Greetings
2.Brain storm
3.Look at the picture and think of the topic of each unit .
(Design idea:For this part,I want to create an English classroom atmosphere and help the students develop the habit of speaking English everyday.The activities can increase the confidence of the students in speaking and learning English,it also can pave the way for the teaching of this course and help the students card the knowledge of each unit.) Step two :Presentation
1.a)After reviewing the topic of each unit,the teacher shows the pictures of Sarah、Mike、Wu Yifan....and ask the students to describe them.“Who is your friend?、What’s her/his name?She’s..../He’s.....”....Review the knowledge of unit three“My friends”.
b)Look at the picture and fill in the blanks.
c)Look and say (choose the sentence and the words to describe John and Amy.)
(Design idea:For this part , I use the topic “who is your friend”to help the students review the useful expressions in unit three .They will introduce like this :Her name is Sarah, She is friendly and quite. She has blue bag and brown shoes...... )
2. (Showing the picture of Sarah and Wu Yifan)T:What are they talking about? They are talking about the new classroom.Presents the sentence “We have a new classroom”T:Do you want to go and have a look?Ss:Yes,let’s go and see.Practise the sentences .(read by different ways.) (Design idea:This is a transitional part,I use the sentences“What’s in the classroom ?”“What colour is it? ”to extract the topic sentences of unit two.)
3.T:What’s in the classroom?Ss:A blackboard、a fan、a computer...... (shows the pictures)T:What’s this?Where is it? What colour is it?Ss:.......
Ask and answer to practise.
(show the schoolbag)T:Guess!What’s in the schoolbag?Ss:....An English book,a maths book ,two keys....
T:Look,where are the keys?Are they on the table?Ss:No,they aren’t.They’re in the schoolbag.
4.a)T:It’s Amy’s schoolbag, but where is Amy?(present the main scene of
unit four)Look and guess ,is she in the bedroom?Ss:Yes,she is /No,she isn’t......She is in the study.
b)T:Look,the cat is in the kitchen,he is hungry now.Are you hungry now?
I am e on ,let’s have dinner.(Lead in the useful expressions of unit five.)
5.a)T:Look at the picture,what’s for dinner?What would you like? (ask the students to practise the dialogue:ask and answer)
b)I ask the students to answer the questions and then give the food pictures to them. According to the food pictures ,I ask them:Would you like a knife and fork?Ss:Yes,please./No,thanks.I can use chopsticks.
6.a)“Look at the picture and find the answer!What would Amy like? How many people are there in Amy’s family?”
b)Introduce my own family tree.
c)Talk about your family.
“How many people are there in your family? What’s your father’s job?What’s your mother’s job?”
d)Love your family!Appreciate the video about the family.
(Design idea:For this part,I use different presentations,in order to attract their attentions so that they can keep fresh in learning and speaking.)
Step three:Consolidation and extention
a)Choose the sentences you like to read.
b)Answer the questions and get the presents.
(Design idea:The varies activities are good for the students to get the knowledge.Most of them would like to join the class,so learning would be like a game for them but not a task. )
Step four:Homework
Use the useful expressions to ask and answer in daily life. Blackboard design
