My Summer Vacation
Next summer, I'll have the most amazing vacation ever! It'll be the best summer of my whole life, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.
First, my family and I will go to the beach for a week. We'll stay in a cute little beach house right by the ocean. Every morning, I'll wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It'll be so relaxing and peaceful. During the day, I'll spend hours playing in the sand and swimming in the cool, salty water. I'll build the biggest sandcastle that anyone has ever seen! My little brother will probably knock it down, but that's okay because I'll just build another one. We'll have so much fun!
In the evenings, we'll have bonfires on the beach and roast marshmallows. The marshmallows will get all gooey and delicious. We'll tell scary stories, but I won't get too scared because I'll be with my family. After the bonfires, we'll go back to our beach house and fall asleep to the sound of the waves.
After our week at the beach, we'll go visit my grandparents who live on a farm in the countryside. My grandparents will be so happy to see us! They'll give us big hugs and kisses, and my grandma will bake my favorite chocolate chip cookies. The cookies will be warm and gooey and melt in my mouth. Yum!
On the farm, I'll get to help my grandpa feed the animals every morning. I'll give the cows hay, and I'll collect eggs from the chickens. I'll even get to milk the cows! It'll be hard work, but I'll have a lot of fun. In the afternoons, I'll explore the fields and woods around the farm. Maybe I'll find a frog or a salamander to play with for a little while before letting it go again. I'll make sure not to go too far away from the farm because I don't want to get lost.
At night, I'll fall asleep in the old creaky bedroom that used to be my dad's when he was a kid. I'll listen to the crickets chirping and the owls hooting in the distance. I wonder if a firefly will fly into my room! That would be so cool.

The star-filled sky will look so bright and magical.

My Summer Vacation

First, my family and I will go on a road trip. We will pack our bags and load up the car with snacks, games, and everything we need for the long drive. We will travel for many hours, singing along to our favorite songs and playing "I Spy" out the window. Maybe we will even stop at a few interesting places along the way.

Grandma will show me how to pick fresh vegetables and fruits from her garden. We will bake pies and cookies together using the delicious berries we picked. I will help her can and preserve some of the food for later too. Everything at the farm tastes so much better than from the grocery store.
In the fields, I will run around and catch fireflies when it gets dark outside. We will have a big bonfire and roast hot dogs and make s'mores. I'm sure we will see lots of stars in the night sky away from the city lights.
On one of the days, we might go on a trail ride on the horses through the countryside. The views of the rolling hills and open fields will be amazing. We will stop for a picnic lunch and let the horses rest and graze. I wonder if we will see any wildlife along the way!

My Summer Vacation
Next summer will be the best summer ever! I'm going to do so many fun things and go on lots of adventures. I can't wait until school is out and the sunny days arrive.
First, my family and I will go on a big road trip. We'll pack up our car with all our suitcases and snacks for the drive. The first stop will be the Grand Canyon! I've never seen the Grand Canyon before, but I've heard it's absolutely massive. We'll go hiking along the rim trails and take tons of pictures of the colorful layered rocks. Maybe we'll even ride mules down into the canyon itself! At night, we're going to make s'mores and stargaze at all the bright stars you can see far away from the city lights.
After exploring the Grand Canyon for a few days, we'll head to California to visit the beach. We're going to rent a beach house right by the ocean in a little town called Pismo Beach. I'll build the most awesome sandcastles anyone has ever seen! Sandy and dripped all over with ocean water, I'll sculpt turrets and bridges using my beach buckets and shovels. In the evenings, we'll roast hot dogs and make bonfires on the beach. I'll chase the crashing waves and look for cool shells as the salty spray hits my face.
But that's not all the traveling we'll do over summer break. We're also flying across the country to New York City! The Big Apple will be a totally new experience for me. We're going to see some Broadway shows with singing, dancing, and amazing costumes and sets. I'll be wowed by the huge skyscrapers towering high into the sky and the bright lights of Times Square at night. We'll visit awesome museums and I'll learn so much cool stuff about art, history, and science. For the fourth of July, we'll watch the fireworks exploding over the Statue of Liberty as we cruise around the harbor. I bet it's going to be epic!
When I'm home in between all our trips, there will still be plenty of summer fun. My friends and I are going to have lemonade stands and have tons of neighborhood lemonade
wars, seeing who can make the most money. We'll use spray bottles and buckets of lemon water to spray each other and see whose stand gets the most customers. I'm definitely going to win because I make the most delicious lemonade around!
My brother and I will run through the sprinklers and have massive water balloon fights in the backyard too. We'll see who can soak the other one more as we rapidly fling those cold, stretchy balloons back and forth. Maybe I'll even set up a huge siddown and become a master of the slip 'n slide! I'll get grass stains all over as I zoom down that wet, slippery tarp.
As the days start getting shorter toward the end of August, my friends and I will put on firefly shows at night. We'll run around the backyard chasing those glowing bugs and carefully cupping them in our hands to admire their bright beauty up close. I wonder if I'll be able to catch more fireflies than anyone else?
Finally, after the most exciting and busy summer imaginable, it will be time to go back to school. My mind will be bursting with stories about all my adventures to share with my classmates. Maybe I'll even get to do reports on some of the places I traveled to! I'll be refreshed and ready to tackle a new school year after
being revitalized by the sunshine and fun of an amazing summer vacation.

My Summer Vacation
Next summer will be the best summer ever! I will have so much fun and do so many exciting things. I can't wait for school to be over so my summer vacation can begin.
First, my family and I will go on a big trip. We will travel far away to a place called Hawaii. I have never been there before, but I've seen pictures and it looks like paradise. There will be beautiful beaches with soft white sand and crystal clear blue water. We will stay in a hotel right near the ocean. Every day, we will go swimming and play in the waves. I hope I will see some dolphins or sea turtles while I'm in the water!
When we're not at the beach, we will go on adventures around the islands. We will hike through jungles and see beautiful waterfalls. I will get to try fun activities like snorkeling and maybe even surfing lessons. I'm a little nervous about surfing, but I think it will be thrilling to ride the waves. In the evenings, we will watch the stunning Hawaiian sunsets from our hotel balcony.
After Hawaii, we will visit my grandparents in Florida for a week. I'm very excited because they have a pool at their house. My Summer Vacation
Next summer will be the best summer ever! I will have so much fun and do so many exciting things. School will be out on June 10th, and my vacation will begin right away. I can't wait!
The first week, my family and I will go camping in the mountains. We'll pack our tent, sleeping bags, camp stove, and lots of yummy food like hot dogs and s'mores supplies. Dad will load everything into the car, and we'll drive for a few hours until we get to the campground.
When we arrive, Dad and I will set up the tent while Mom gets the campfire ready. Setting up the tent will be tricky at first, but Dad and I will figure it out together. Once it's all set up, I'll put my sleeping bag and pillow inside to claim my spot.
At night, we'll roast hot dogs and make s'mores over the crackling fire. I'll get marshmallows everywhere but it will be worth it because s'mores are my favorite! We'll tell ghost stories and look up at the endless stars before falling asleep in our cozy tent.
The next few days, we'll go on hiking adventures. Mom will pack us all trail mix and water bottles. I'll wear my new hiking boots and carry a walking stick I found. We'll see towering trees, babbling streams, and maybe even spot some wildlife! I'll take lots of pictures with my new camera Dad got me. Hiking will make me so tired, but it will be fun.
After our camping trip, I'll spend a week at my grandparents' house. Grandma and Grandpa live on a farm, so I'll get to run around and explore the open fields and barn. Grandpa always lets me win at checkers. Before bed, Grandma will read me stories and tell me all about when she was a little girl growing up on the farm.
The last part of my summer will be spent back at home. I'll ride my bike all around the neighborhood with my friends. We'll have lemonade stands and try to earn enough money for ice cream truck visits. On really hot days, we'll run through the sprinklers and have huge water balloon fights that soak everyone!
Mom and Dad will take me to the community pool a few times per week too. I'll spend hours swimming around and going off the diving board. I'll play pool games like Marco Polo and have underwater tea parties. Afterwards, we'll have picnics and I'll eat my favorite fried chicken and watermelon.
Some nights, we'll go to the local baseball games and cheer on our town's team. I'll get one of those huge pretzels covered in salt and stuff my face while watching the players hit home runs. Other nights, we'll have backyard campouts and roast s'mores again because you can never have too many s'mores!
When summer finally comes to an end, I'll be a little sad but also excited to go back to school and see my friends again. We'll all trade stories about our summer adventures. I'll have so many crazy tales to share about camping, my grandparents' farm, water balloon fights, and endless backyard fun.
