frustrated because I didn't get the grade I wanted on a test. I was so focused on what I didn't achieve that I completely overlooked the fact that I had actually improved from my previous test. It wasn't until my friend pointed this out to me that I realized I should be grateful for my progress, rather than dwelling on what I didn't accomplish.
Another example that comes to mind is when I was going through a tough time in my personal life. I was feeling
overwhelmed and discouraged, but then I received a heartfelt note from a friend who reminded me of all the things I had to be grateful for. It was a simple gesture, but it completely shifted my perspective and helped me to see the silver lining in my situation.
