Module 2
Unit 7 Abilities.
Though this lesson, I want the students to review vocabulary about helping people in the community. And To generate ideas about ways to care for and help others. Finally Use the comic strip to talk about the topic“ability”.
【知识目标】
1. To have a further understanding of the newspaper article about Lin Tao.
2. To learn to use the useful expressions in the article correctly.
3. To talk about how to be careful with fire .
【能力目标】
1. To know what we can do or what can’t we do if there is a fire.
2. To know how to protect and save other people if there is something
【情感目标】
To stimulate students’ love for life and nature.
【教学重点】
1.Grasp some words, phrases and drills.
2. Use some adjectives to express their feelings.
【教学难点】
To learn to use the useful expressions in the article correctly.
Recorder, PPT, and some pictures.
Step 1. Greetings
Step 2. Presentation
1 Different people are good at different things. For example: He sings very well and won the first
place. We say he has musical ability. B has sports ability.
2 Some people use abilities to help others. Would you like to help others if you can?
Discuss: What can we do for others? To teach : clean up. Help the elderly .collect exercise books for teachers.
Step 3. Practise
If you want to help more people or do more for others. I think you can join the Helping Hands Club. Would you like to know about the club? Here are some pictures.
Look at the pictures and talk about them.

T:What is the boy doing?
S:He is climbing the tree
T:Can you climb a tree?
S:Yes I can.. /No, I can’t
T:Is it dangerous to climb a tree?
S:Yes ,it is.
T:So you must be careful.

3. Ask: Do you think there is any super dog in the world?
What do you think about Eddie?
Can he fly?
