Reflection 4
This semester most of our classes use English as main class language, so is this subject. And some classmates complained that it was hard for them to follow the teacher. However, I prefer speaking English in class than both English and Chinese. So I was fond of having oral English class because the foreign teacher speak native English and whole class and I enjoyed that. For us, the biggest challenge to learn English is that we are not in the environment of English. So our oral English is poor no matter how hard we try,while people who live in the environment of English can learn English well in a short time. So the environment is a key point. It is impossible for us to have many chances to speak and hear English, but all we have is the class time. So it is necessary for us to speak English during the whole class. And it will be helpful to our listening. So when I become a teacher, I will speak English as much as possible to create a good language environment for my students.
Comments:it is true that the environment is a key point for a language learner, for we can acquire it from environment. But the situation is different in our daily life. Maybe we are not used to speaking English out of class to our friends. However, language is a kind of tool ,so only when we use it more can we learn it better. For the language speaking in class, I think it is decided by the level of the students and the
aim of the class. In a word , it is complicated.
