开讲啦王石演讲稿:坚持与放下同学们好,像这样和同学们交流还是第一次,因为站在前面什么都没有,从表演上来讲这叫做当众孤独。
但是刚才主持人那热情洋溢的介绍和同学们热烈的反应,好像让我也年轻了两岁,我想到了比你们还年轻的时候,那个时光大约是四十五年前了,我那时候才十几岁,和你们一样想着未来该做什么。
我曾受福尔摩斯侦探的影响,特别想当个侦探家,也受《海底两万里》、《八十天环游世界》的影响,想当个探险家,就像《鲁滨逊漂流记》那样。
我的数学成绩不错,在小学的时候,是可以跳级的那种,但我的语文不好,所以没能跳级。
我当过兵,当过工人,当过工程师,当过机关干部,这样做到32岁。
当时我在广东的外贸部门,在别人来看,这个职业非常非常好,但是我已经看到我人生的最终会走到哪里去,我当时的身份是副科长,我已经看到了,我一步一步的可以当科长、副处长、处长、副厅长。
既然我已经看到了我这一生会怎么过,我的追悼会怎么开,我能想象,我躺在那里,朋友们是怎么来向我鞠躬、哀乐,我都想得清清楚楚,我觉得这样的生活,我当然不甘心。
这是我后来到深圳创业的初衷。
我没有严格的人生计划要当一个企业家,甚至当年的我对于做商人这件事是非常讨厌的。
我只是希望改变一种新的生活方式,我就这样去了。
我既不喜欢做企业,也不喜欢做生意,我曾公开说我不喜欢房地产,以至于现在万科的CEO郁亮私下跟我说:“董事长,你不喜欢就不喜欢,但是你不要公开说,你公开说不喜欢,我们怎么教育团队要喜欢、要热爱这个行业?”我说好,我不说了。
但是今天我站到这里,我要告诉同学们,我非常喜欢房地产,非常喜欢房地产行业,因为它牵涉到城市建设、城市规划、造福于消费者、造福于人民,我后知后觉地突然发现,我正在从事着一个我梦寐以求都求不到的职业,我由衷的喜欢上了我原来根本不喜欢的工作。
同学们,我这里想说的是,你不要急于大学一毕业,就马上要找到一个如何发财、如何终身相伴的职业,不要着急,当你不确定的时候,你就把你所在的工作做好,所在的你不愿意的行业做好。

福布斯哈佛经典演讲稿英文版全文如下You've got to find what you love,' Jobs saysThis is the text of the Commencement address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 20xx.I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.The first story is about connecting the dots.I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by alawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl.So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" They said: "Of course." My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out.And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5ent; deposits tobuy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example: Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this.I learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found it fascinating.None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But ten years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts.And since Windows just copied the Mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers mightnot have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.My second story is about love and loss.I was lucky dash; I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz and I started Apple in my parents garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a billion company with over 4000 employees. We had just released our finest creation - the Macintosh - a year earlier, and I had just turned 30.And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started? Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. So at 30 I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.I really didn't know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had letthe previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly.I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me dash; I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world.In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I retuned to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together.I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love.And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.My third story is about death.When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Becausealmost everything dash; all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancerthat is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope its the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late1960's, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notionStewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. 演讲稿:王石励志,坚持不懈、放下执念:大家好!今天我要分享的主题是“坚持不懈、放下执念”,它不仅是人生的一种追求,更是成功的一个必修课。
在人生的岁月里,很难避免遇到失利、困境或者挫折。
但是,真正成功的人都会学会如何坚持不懈并且放下执念。
我想通过分享一个成功人士的故事,来证明这个道理。
他就是著名房地产企业家王石。
身为万科掌门人,他肩负着万亿资产的责任,一个梦想不成,将意味着企业的全面崩溃。
2007年,万科一打造的海外顶级生态游乐项目——美国Coco Key 水上乐园项目,因为盈利状况无法满足万科的要求而终止,吃下了王石的最终战争。
他曾伤心彷徨,也曾沉入低谷,但最终他还是站起来了。
王石在《王石谈商道》一书中说:“我已经很幸运,因为我有过一次生死之劫,在那一刻,我意识到了一些很重要的东西:在这个世界上,没有谁有永恒的胜利权,我们做任何事都要及时调整,因为事物总是变化无常的。
”从此,王石提出了名为“不做顽固派”的管理哲学,他表示:执念会极大地阻碍人们的前进,即使是正确的事情,也不要执着于特定的方式。
现实就是这样,无论你多么聪明才智,总会有无法预料和掌控的失败和挫折。
因此,只有放下过去,才能活得更加精彩。
放下执念,就是要果断放弃那些不能留存的东西,弱者悲旅,强者纵横。
在成功的人眼里,失败不叫失败,而是一种过程,一种机遇。
坚持不懈,是实现梦想、取得成功的必备条件。
生活无非是一次又一次的试炼,坚持不懈就是在面对挫折、障碍时不气馁,依然坚定地朝着自己的目标前进。
无论你从事什么职业或者是面临什么困境,只有坚持下去,才有机会破局。
王石强调“改变中国房地产行业”这个目标是一个强有力、值得坚定信仰的方向。
敢于坚持就要以更加果敢无畏的勇气去实践,不断地通过实践来验证自己的信仰,从而不断提高自己。
总之,我们面对生命中的每一个挑战,都需要保持乐观、勇敢、坚毅。
不要被过去所累,让身心被尘埃遮盖,要像王石一样,坚持不懈地前行。

1983年我来到深圳特发创业,第一笔单子是卖玉米饲料。
1983年,是一个万元户都不得了的时代。
我一个月能赚十几万,正在我风声水起的时候,我开始聘请了两三个民工,文化程度都没有上过初中,我白天带他们干活,晚上我就当教员给他们上课讲语文,讲数学。
我记得很清楚,给他们上完课,光着膀子在记帐,生活创业阶段过的艰苦,但还是很愉快。
在这个时候我已经是赚钱赚到三十多万的时候,发生了一个事情叫肥鸡丸事件,鸡饲料有致癌素。
养鸡场的小鸡没人要,这样你会发现饲料厂不要饲料,玉米也没人要了,一吨3000块钱的玉米,被我200块钱当鱼饲料卖。
我赚的30万赔进去,还净赔40万。
我当时谁都没告诉,回到大连将大连、天津、青岛,玉米库存一扫而光,但是我首先讲货到一百天付款。
因为他们也积压着库存,想运运不出去,所以就同意了。
我为什么订这些货?现在回想起来就是赌,我就赌,你香港人不可能不吃鸡,当你要玉米的时候发现谁都没有,就我有。
当然这个逻辑没有错,问题在时间。
因为我一百天就要付款的,所以我特别希望这个船被暴风雨打沉,打沉了我有保险。
这时候我发现我心底的阴暗面,我担心货到了没人要,所以宁愿希望船沉。
▲2014年6月,深圳,王石演讲《底线与荣誉》,现场吸引了3000余听众就在这个时候,香港的《大公报》、《信报》给了一条信息,香港要吃鸡了。
第一条到的船上载有七千吨玉米,被两个大饲料厂分了。
我记得很清楚,船到了村庄里,我要给他们拉到饲料厂里,那时候我记得农村里面很多都是个体户经营绿头车,在大公路上拉材料运土的,我给双倍钱。

万科董事长王石的心路蜕变过程----王石畅谈留学生涯与对企业家和公民责任的看法9月下旬,62岁的万科董事长王石结束了在哈佛大学的两年学习生活,接着转赴英国剑桥大学开始新的学习。
在辞美赴英之际,王石谈了两年来的心路历程。
我毫不犹豫回答“我愿意”从1984年创办深圳现代科教仪器展销中心(“万科”前身),到1999年2月辞去万科总经理,是一个阶段;此后,完成“7加2”攀登探险之旅(七大洲最高峰和南北极),也是一个阶段。
这两年,你又选择出国读书,是第三个阶段,到底是怎么想的?留学是我的一个情结。
我是“工农兵学员”(注:王石1974年被选送到兰州铁路学院给排水专业,1977年毕业后被分配到广州铁路局工程五段做技术员),目睹了改革开放、恢复高考,一直希望可以有机会去留学,接受系统性的知识训练。
1983年我到深圳去闯荡的想法也是以深圳为跳板,过个两年就出国去学习。
当时并没有想过自己会一辈子经商,而且那时深圳会怎么发展、特区会怎么样,也是很不确定的,置身于当时的环境也不可能说有什么三年、五年计划。
明天究竟怎样很难预测,所以也只能做一年看一年。
没想到一直做下去了,但我始终还是有出国学习的梦想。
像我这样的“文革一代”没有接受过好的知识训练,虽然也一直自学读书。
在深圳做了多年,始终想着要出国学习,但总是一年又一年推迟。
到了50岁,开始觉得留学和自己没什么关系了。
一是年纪大了,另外也觉得接受知识训练是年轻人的事情。
过了50岁后就没再想过出国读书。
2010年我59岁时,收到哈佛大学的一个非正式邀请。
万科和哈佛之间有一个为期三年的合作项目,每年暑假都会安排一些哈佛的本科生到万科实习。
有一次合作双方见面吃饭,哈佛那边的“中国基金”项目的执行主任问了一句:“王总有没有兴趣到哈佛做访问学者,学习半年或一年左右?”当时我毫不犹豫回答“我愿意”,而且选了最长的时间——一年。
能去哈佛学习,一方面是万科和哈佛的合作项目起了推动作用,另外和我的身份、经历也有一定关系。

平日里前呼后拥的大佬王石,忽然之间没了秘书和司机,成了一个在家难自理、出门常迷路的“废人”。
更要命的是,因为英语太差,他无法听课和交流,第一次感觉脑子不够用。
他说:“我在哈佛这一年,体会到了后进生的滋味。
”初到哈佛,“大佬”过得好凄惨王石是一个不安分的人。
他17岁参军,23岁读大学,毕业后当公务员,32岁下海经商,成功缔造万科后辞去总经理职位,选择了背上行囊,去攀登世界高峰,成为成功登顶珠峰年纪最大的中国人,以及世界上为数不多的完成登顶七大洲最高峰和徒步到达南北两极点“7+2”的探险者。

所以,当2010年初,哈佛大学的一个中国基金会执行主席问王石有没有兴趣和勇气到哈佛游学时,年轻时就曾有过店铺梦的王石想都没想就说:“当然有!”在他看来,人需要不断发展自我、更新自身,而不应该被固有的条件和现状所限制。
过去20多年的创业和探险,正是他努力摆脱预定、自我造就精彩的不确定轨迹。
2011年1月底,王石处理好国内的事务,并经过速成英语口语培训后,从深圳经由香港飞往美国波士顿,开始了为期3年的哈佛大学游学之旅。
这一年,王石恰好60岁。
王石到达美国前,公司已在哈佛大学所在的马萨诸塞州波士顿的剑桥镇给他租了一套别墅,配备了汽车,还请了一个懂汉语的保姆。
可王石到了后很不高兴,让下属全部退掉,他要一切从零开始。
下属无奈,只好遵命,给王石在学校附近租了套一室一厅的小房子,里面只有一些简单用品。
然而,住进去之后王石才发现,这样的“装备”和生活确实太过寒碜,完全不是一个超级富豪能轻易适应的。
以前在国内,在家时有保姆做饭,外出有司机接送,在公司有秘书伺候,可现在,他孤身一人,一切都要亲历亲为。

当时,我的内心是不认同这个观点的。
在我看来,只要你想学,永远都不晚。
今天读了王石的自传《我的改变》,自己更肯定了这一点。
书里写道,王石60岁时,为了留学哈佛,开始恶补英语。
后来的他,在英语方面秒杀很多年轻人。
他后来为什么能把英语学得这么好呢?1、相信自己能,做事就能成据我观察,很多人之所以学不好英语,跟他们的不自信有关。
比如背单词,我发现很多人一看到那么长一串字母,内心就已经开始打退堂鼓了。
看着他们边记单词边摇头,一副生无可恋的表情,我实在是替他们惋惜。
不自信,成为很多人学不好英语的绊脚石。
而像王石这样的牛人,哪怕是60岁高龄重新出发学英语,他拥有的自信,都能帮助自己把英语学好。
虽然他完全可以请个翻译,这样自己就不用那么辛苦了。
但是,牛人和你想的就是不一样,他要征服英语这座大山。
为此,王石去哈佛留学时,在课程很紧凑的情况下,每周依然抽出4个半小时跟老师学英语。
一开始他学的英语,远远应付不了哈佛的课程,但王石没有因此丢掉自信。
随着不断学习,加上他掌握了学习英语的一些要点,英语水平便很快好起来了。
那他都掌握了哪些要点呢?比如,单词不能硬背,要用它造句。
又比如,要学会嘟囔,要常常用英语自言自语。
自信+方法得当,后来王石的英语水平,可以说是令人刮目相看。
虽然在学英语这件事情上,已不再年轻的王石输在起跑线上,但是他用结果告诉我们年轻人:“相信自己能,做事就能成”。
2、创造好环境,学习有干劲很多人学不好英语,还有一个重要原因,是缺乏一个学习英语的好环境。
像我那时候学英语,想在生活中和同学练一下英语对话,结果被他们鄙视,说中国人讲什么英文。
在这样的环境,显然是学不好英语的。
为了学好英语,我毅然选择离开这里,去找愿意一起练英语对话的小伙伴,大家共创练习英语的环境。
今天读王石自传时,我发现他也是类似的做法。

重来一次依然会放弃股权非常感谢同学们这么晚还来到这里,我很感谢有这样一个机会,可以说是一种体验。
关于这个题目(人生的第三座峰),我觉得应该称之为“选择”更合适一些,因为人在一生当中,无论是被动还是主动,都不断面临着选择。
我是1951年出生的,在青少年时•,并没有太多的选择,似乎一切都是社会安排好的,只有社会选择你。
比如说,我上大学是因为那一年工厂正好有一个名额,对于我来说,当时所谓的选择就是如何在众多人中脱颖而出。
至于这个名额是什么学校,是什么专业,都不重要,因为那时候可选择的机会非常少。
当然,改革开放以后,这样的情况就转变了很多,这里我就不一一列举了。
我想说说几个关键的阶段。
第一个是在1983年,我做了一个决定,就是辞去了公务员,只身一人去创业。
我从大学毕业后,被分配到了广州,做关于远洋方面的工作,也在那里建立了家庭。
一个人去往深圳的时候,我的孩子只有一岁。
当时我很迷茫,但是我知道,如果不去试,到退休时我一定会后悔。
到了深圳,我其实有很多选择,但做生意,做职业经理人其实是我当时最不想做的,却没料到一直做到了最后。
这个时候我就面临了第二次选择,就是在1988年万科面临了文化改造。
我是在1984年组建的深圳现代科教仪器展销中心(万科企业股份有限公司前身),到了1988年,万科的净资产就已经达到了1300万元。
当时国家的政策是“四六开”,国家拿60%,企业管理层40%o不过在那个时候,我做出了一个放弃(股权)的决定。
为什么呢?虽然当时创业的初衷肯定是为了生活,但在那时候,1300万净资产的40% 就是500万左右,我个人虽不是全部拥有,但作为大股东可以获得其中的大部分。
在当时,“万元户”就很厉害了,何况500万?这对当时个人的状态和未来的发展是很危险的。
这是一个顾虑。
第二点,我并不确定自己在突然很有钱的情况下是否能把握住自己。
面临企业文化改造所带来的巨额财富,我确实没有做好准备。
现在看来,虽然放弃了股权,但并不代表那些钱就不存在了。

15日在参加“哈佛中国论坛”时,王石对新华社记者表示,中国目前对房地产行业的调控方向是正确的。关于开发商的道德讨论,王石的观点是:“很多人在谈到中国的房地产市场时总是指责房地产企业缺乏道德,但实际上,伦理道德的缺失目前不仅仅是房地产行业的问题,而是整个社会在经济高速发展的环境下所共同面临的问题。”
王石认为,房价居高不下关系到行业政策、土地政策等多个方面的原因,责任不完全在房地产商。
但对于调控,王石说:“我对于抑制房价举双手赞成。”他表示,如果任由房价继续上涨,泡沫继续膨胀,那么曾经发生在日本以及美国房地产市场的危机就可能在中国重演。
“在这种宏观调控中,可能会有些不尽如人意的地方,但我们还是要承受起来,并从积极的方面去理解、去接受,”王石说,“因为中国房地产行业的健康不光对我们房地产企业自身有利,对其他行业和整个经济也有利。”
“英语水平现在还挺差”
“这个发言准备了多久?您觉得自己的英语水平怎么样了?”这么长的讲稿即便对于一个英语比他好得多的人来说也不是一件容易事。
“要说准备,一年前就开始了。”面对新华社记者,王石笑着说,“这个稿子我写了三天,刚才上台前还一直在那儿反复看。”(编注:据哈佛中文论坛网站显示,王石当天参与的论坛主题为“中国的可持续城市发展”。)
“举双手赞成调控”
不过,王石并不讳言“房地产行业自身的问题”,“目前整个行业还缺乏自律精神。”
王石说,首先,对于房地产企业来说,无论是提供有形的产品还是无形的服务,质量是最重要的。其次,房地产企业在追逐商业利润时也必须要加强自律,不能因为短视的“贪婪”伤害了整个市场和消费者,最终也会伤害自己。

“我的英语水平一年前真的很差,现在还是挺差。”王石一点也没有因为这个问题而生气。
“那为什么非要用英语?会场有同声传译,别的中国企业家全说的中文。”新华社记者问道。
“我这个年纪来哈佛学习,就是要学习西方的文化,语言当然相当重要。我们这一代人一直都是哑巴英语,看点资料还行,但张嘴说那就是很大的障碍。是障碍,就得过,人总要有点勇气。”王石回答说。
台下的听众发出笑声,王石不时抬头,不看讲稿与大家进行眼神交流。他说这是别人给他的建议:说英语时不管是不是流利,一是要大声,二是要抬头。
二十多分钟的演讲结束,王石回到座位前,咧了一下嘴。坐在他前面的一位女生,转过头向他竖起大拇指。
会场里的外国人也许不都清楚他是谁,但前来参加4月13日-15日举行的“哈佛中国论坛”的中国人却没人不知道他——中国企业家中的传奇式人物、万科集团创始人兼董事长王石。
“如果仅凭自己的经历去讲,那无论是对自己还是对学生都不负责任,所以我希望通过在哈佛的学习,提高理论水平,提高修为。”王石说。“下周回来开股东大会”
说到万科,王石说他从来没有离开过。“我仍然是万科的董事长,每隔几个月我都要回去,更不要提寒暑假,下周我还要回去开股东大会。”他说。
至于要在哈佛待多久,王石没有作出明确的答复。
王石说,从1983年到1998年的15年时间内,他的全部精力放在万科上。之后开始登山和探险,一方面是要做一些自己喜欢的事情,另一方面也是在有意地“疏离”公司,让公司的管理团队能独立成长。
按照他的说法,“领袖型、英雄般一呼百应式的东方传统领导文化实际上不利于现代企业的发展”。

有意“疏离”万科
从当年率先“下海”创建万科集团、最终成为中国房地产行业的“老大”,到如今耳顺之年选择只身赴美游学,王石曾经征服世界最高峰、去过南北极、50多岁学过滑雪又练滑翔……他一直在挑战自己。
在刚到哈佛的时候,王石曾经做过一场名为“人生的三座山峰”的演讲。他说,这“三座山峰”中,第一座峰指创立万科,第二座指两次登珠峰,第三座就是来哈佛上学。(编注:据新世纪周刊3月5日报道,2010年初,一个偶然的机会,王石得到了哈佛大学中国基金“到哈佛做访问学者”的口头邀请。经过一段时间的挣扎,2011年3月,王石赴哈佛大学访学。)
如今,在大多数人退休回家颐养天年的年纪,王石选择了“再登一座比珠峰更难的山”——到美国学习。在世界最高等学府和十几岁的孩子们一起学习,除了是对自己极限的又一次挑战,王石还有更多打算。
“我计划在60岁到70岁这个阶段把更多的精力用到学校去,通过学习更多地和下一代交流。”王石说。
今年7月份,王石将在北京大学光华管理学院教授MBA和EMBA课程。他说,希望有机会把个人以及他所创建的万科当作一个案例,将人生的经验及教训与年轻人分享,算是他留给这个世界的财富。
