As a sixth-grader, I have experienced many holidays, but my favorite one is undoubtedly the Spring Festival. It is a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the beginning of a new year according to the lunar calendar. Here is my essay about the Spring Festival and its translation.

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is my favorite holiday. It is a time filled with joy and excitement as we celebrate the arrival of spring and the end of winter. The festival usually lasts for 15 days, starting from the Chinese New Year's Eve and ending with the Lantern Festival.
During this period, I love to participate in various traditional activities. One of the most important customs is the family reunion dinner on New Year's Eve. We gather around the table, sharing a feast that includes fish, which symbolizes abundance, and dumplings, which represent wealth and prosperity.
Another activity I enjoy is setting off fireworks and firecrackers. The loud noises are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck for the coming year. It's
thrilling to watch the night sky light up with colorful
displays.
Red is the most prominent color during the Spring Festival. We hang red lanterns and couplets outside our homes, and I always receive red envelopes filled with money from my relatives. It's a symbol of good fortune and is said to ward off evil spirits.
The Lantern Festival marks the end of the Spring Festival celebrations. On this day, people go out to admire the beautiful lanterns and solve riddles written on them. It's a beautiful sight to see the streets filled with people enjoying the festive atmosphere.
In conclusion, the Spring Festival is my favorite holiday because it brings my family closer together and allows me to learn about and participate in our rich cultural traditions.
