Good morning,ladies and gentlemen. I am Yedongmei, from Zhao Peng Primary School. I’m glad to interpret my teaching design here. Today I’m going to talk about Unit 2, PEP Primary English, Book 1. This unit is mainly about colors.
I divide my teaching into 7 parts. First, l et me talk about the teaching material.
一、Analysis of the teaching material
The content of my lesson is about col ors,interspersed with simple expressions in communication.And there are some colorful pictures in this unit.The pictures give Ss to find everything fresh and new feeling, arouse students' learning motivation and learning interest. Colors are closely related to the students’ daily life. By study of this unit, the Ss know how to read some colors in English and how to introduce someone with simple sentences,like,This is WU Yi fan. The study of this unit will help the Ss with daily communication,such as

--Nice to meet you,too.
In this unit,On the one hand,Ss learn how to read some words and simple conversations;on the other hand,they begin learning how to write English letters. This is the first time they write in English.So the teaching materials pay attention to cultivating their correct habits of writing.
二、Teaching aims
Next part is teaching aims
As we all know: the main instructional aim of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language, So I put forward the teaching objectives of this unit as follows.
1. Aims on the knowledge
1) Aims on the knowledge is to enable the students to learn some new words, such as red ,yellow,green,blue,and so on, and to practice the daily English conversation.
2) The Ss can und erstand and read the conversation(对话)of this unit.
2. Aims on the abilities
(1) To devel op students ’abilities of listening and speaking.
(2) To train Ss’ abilities of working in groups.
(3) To develop Ss’ abilities of co mmunication and cultivate their interest.
3. Aims on the emotion
(1)By compl eting the task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in language study.
(2) foster Ss’obversation and imagination ,describes the good thing in life with the colours, and love the nature.
4. Next, the key-points of this unit
(1) The words of colors and simple conversations
(2) Develop Ss’ interest in English.
5. Difficult points
The pronunciation of green , black, brown.
三、Analysis of the students
Then I’ll talk about the analysis o f the students.
The students I’m teaching are the third-grad e students. They are very active and they like singing, dancing and playing games.
The students in Grade 3 are interested in English.The stud ent to the colors has a strong sensitive degree.It is easy to attract students' interests.These are conducive to the new knowledge teaching.And students can have a more relaxed environment new lesson content.
四、Teaching aids
Next part is teaching aids. In this lesson, I’ll use the pictures, word cards, crayons,PPT,and tape recorder. These can stimulate students’ interest in English.
五、Teaching methods(教学方法)
Then I’ll talk about teaching methods.
Well, how to achieve the teaching objectives better, how to stress the key points and overcome the difficult points? The answer is proper teaching methods.
I’ll mainly use these teaching methods:
1.Sing English songs, arouse students' interest
2.Play games,stimulate students' interest
3. Set up situation, promot students' interest
4. Change the evaluation, protect stude nts’ interest
5. Open operation, continue the students’ interest
六、Teaching procedure
The Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing
Now I’ll mainly talk about the most important part of the teaching
design: teaching procedure.I’ll choose the first period to say .I’ll finish this lesson in four steps.
Step1. Warm-up(热身)
I will begin this lesson with a song.
Sing a song will make students feel pleased and satisfied and also it c an arouse their exciting emotion.
Next, I’ll review the words of Unit1-2 by using the teaching cards Then I'll have a free talk with the students, because free talk is an important way to improve the students' ability of speaking. I’ll ask the students some questions like: What color is it ? What color do you like? Step2.Show the picture with rainbow
Teacher sticks the picture on the blackboard, and tell the Ss this picture is used to mark scores. Then teacher divided the Ss into four groups. They called red, yellow, blue, green teams. There are four colorful crayons, and one crayon means one team. If the Ss do a good job, their crayons can move one step.
Teaching intention: the new and col orful picture attracts the Ss ,and also show the teaching aims .Use competition to stimulate the Ss’ activity.
Step3 Presentation
(1)Prepare five bottles of water before class, every lid has been painted
pigment. Teacher can choose one of bottles and shake it. The water turns red .Use the red water to teach the word ‘red’. Then use the red chalk to write down the words and stick the red card on the blackboard. Teacher can choose the Ss to shake the bottle. Use the same way to teach the words ‘blue,green,yell ow.Pay attention to the pronunciation of the words. Let the Ss read the words one by one. Design intention: Through the magician to show the teaching words, evokes the Ss’ imagination and observation , and it also make the Ss happy. These colorful teaching aids help the Ss to grasp words in sight.
(2) Show the CAI 1, the Ss read after the record.
Make sure everyone can read the words fluently. Invite some students to come to the front to read.
Play a game: Keep your mouth.(Teacher will give stud ents a word and a number. For example: red and number 3.It means read red three times, then keep your mouth. If you make noise you will lose the game.)
Design intention: CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to und erstand the word and can make the Ss study knowledge much easier. Game can help the Ss to grasp the pronunciation .
(3)Teaching the chant.
Teacher let the Ss to prepare three things: pen, pencil-box, book, When teacher says: Show me your pen,the Ss must hold up their pens. Then teacher takes out a pencil-box. There are five color crayons in it .Use guessing game to show the word ‘crayon’and the sentence’show me your….
Step4 Practice
(1)Game: I say you d o.
By using the teaching method of asking question and game to make the Ss comprehend the meaning of the sentence.
(2) Show CAI 2.The Ss do the action and say the chant with CAI.
(3)Show CAI 3.The Ss finish the picture with listening.
Teacher can choose some beautiful painting pictures to show the Ss.
(4)Game: Let’s find out.(To describe the colorful things around us by observation, let the Ss to guess what is it?
Design intention: By observe the colorful things ,it can foster the Ss’ab ilities of communication and innovations. It can also review the knowledge.
Step5.Summary
Teacher shows CAI 4, the Ss watch the screen and listen to the music‘ Who is wearing yellow today? ’
Ask Ss to discuss what we learned today.
Design intention: Lead Ss to review what they learned in this lesson Step7.Homework
1.Listen to the tape and review the knowledge.
2.Say colours to your mom and dad.。
