Teaching plan
1.Background information:
(1)Teaching material: this teaching material is taken from PEP Book2 Unit2 PartC Story time. It`s a lovely story, which talks about Zoom`s family.
(2)Students analysis: the students are Grade3, under such age, the students are very active, but they are lack of English input. So, the native language Chinese plays a very important role in the teaching.
(3)Duration: 40minutes.
2.Teaching contents: PEP Book2 Unit2 Part C Story time.
3.Teaching aims:
(1)Students will understand the story with the aid of the pictures and the teacher.
(2)Students are able to read the story correctly, and act it vividly.
(3)Students will get some culture character from the story.
(4)Students will know that love is so important in a happy family.
4.Teaching key and difficult points:
(1)Students will understand the story with the aid of the pictures and the teacher.
(2)Students are able to read the story correctly, and act it vividly.
5.Teaching and learning methods:
(1)Teaching methods: Task-based Approach; Situational teaching method; Communicative Approach.
(2)Learning methods: Individual work; Group work.

Ⅰ. Pre-reading:
(1)Warm-up&Lead-in: let`s sing
(2)Set a scene: Zip is going to visit Zoom, but on the way to Zoom`s home, there are two special stairs.
Stair1: Whac-A-Mole:
(Purpose: Students will review the words we learned this unit, which will help to understand the story)
Stair2: Look and say. (Zip meets WuYifan on stair2, they are talking) (Purpose: Students will learn how to appreciate others, and say “thank you”back, which is a culture character.
Ⅰ.While-reading
Zip finally gets to Zoom`s home.
(1)Look and order the picture.
(2)Read picture1,2,3, then answer “who`s beautiful? Why”
(3)Read picture4,5,6, then answer “ who`s beautiful now? Why?”
(4)Read the pictures, then answer “just for beauty?”
(5)Read and choose a title.
(6)Let`s read the story.
