一、教材分析：
本单元是第十一模块的第一个单元,本单元的对话选取了初次见面和表达问候时的身势语为题材。玲玲所在学校即将迎来一批俄罗斯来访教师，玲玲和贝蒂一起展开对话，讨论了俄罗斯人、美国人、印度人以及新西兰毛利人不同的身势语。与国外师生的交流互动在中国的许多学校以及越来越普遍。虽然我校是一所乡镇初中，目前没有这方面的活动，但是通过学习本课，学生可以接触到不同国家在见面时所用的身势语，了解不同国家间的交往礼仪，开阔视野，提高英语学习热情，这对他们今后的学习和生活十分有帮助。另外，身势语也有助于学生在日常生活中更好地与家人、同学、朋友交流，加深亲情和友谊。为帮助学生走进文本，加深学生对身势语的体验，特制定以下教学目标：

2.读：能够读懂简单的介绍不同国家身势语的短文；
3.说：能够运用所学的身势语与不同国家的人们打招呼；

2.不同的民族，身势语有差异，也有相同点。即使同样的身势语，含义也不尽相同。因此，在国际交流中，学生应遵循入乡随俗的原则，充分了解和尊重各民族的文化风俗，使用恰当的身势语。
