兴安盟
旅游资源丰富，种类齐全，品位较高，近年来，全盟各地以科尔沁草原民俗旅游为主题，开发出了一批具有民族特色的草原民俗观光旅游、森林观光旅游、疗养旅游、那达慕旅游、湖泊旅游、革命历史遗迹旅游以及观鸟、考古等多种旅游项目。

兴安盟草原地处大兴安岭东南麓，是著名的科尔沁草原的一部分，自古以来就是水草丰美的牧区，现在也是内蒙古自治区畜牧业基地之一。

兴安盟的森林，是素有林海之称的大兴安岭南麓山地的天然次生林区，也是国家培育后备森林资源的基地之一。

全盟有林地面积3037万亩，居全区第二位。

森林面积2024万亩，森林覆盖率达22.5%，比全区高9个百分点，活立木蓄积量3764万立方米，年采伐量达28万立方米。

兴安盟水资源居全区各盟市第二位，地面大小河流200多条。

盟内有四个水系，以嫩江水系为主，有绰儿河、洮儿河、归流河等。

西辽河水系有乌纳格其河。

额尔古纳水系有哈拉哈河。

另有内陆水系乌拉盖河。

除了有丰富的地表水资源外还有比较充足的地下水资源。

乌珠穆沁草原在锡林郭勒盟的东部，这里一般海拔为1000～1500米，为典型的大陆性气候，年平均气温0～6℃，年降水量150～450毫米，无霜期80～150天。

境内土壤由东北向西南依次为黑土、黑钙土、栗钙土、棕钙土、灰钙土和荒漠土。

植被组成，大部为干草原、半荒漠和荒漠地带，间有戈壁和少数沙丘。

主要牧草为禾本科和菊科，间有豆科牧草。
