We've practiced writing all sorts of things like personal narratives, descriptions, persuasive essays and more. The biggest writing assignment was our research report on an animal of our choice. I decided to do mine on sea turtles. I worked really hard, using books and websites to gather information, taking notes, organizing my ideas into an outline, and then drafting and revising my final report multiple times. Itwas challenging but also really rewarding. I felt so proud when I handed in my polished final draft!As for speaking practice, we've done all sorts of activities like reading fluency passages aloud, participating in debates, giving oral presentations and more. I used to feel super shy about speaking English in front of the class, but all the practice this year has really boosted my confidence. I'm much more comfortable now when it's my turn to speak up.Another highlight has been celebrating different holidays and cultural events throughout the year.
