2015年3月8日，外交部长王毅在“两会”记者会上谈到中美关系时说：

“中美是两个大国，不可能没有分歧，分歧也不会因为构建新型大国关系就一夜消失。但我们不必总是用显微镜去放大问题，而是要更多端起望远镜去眺望未来，把握好大方向。”
