三星考试共8个环节，通过6个环节算通过。
1）看图说词：考生需说出所看到的图片的英文，错读或者发音不准均不给分。
（考试时间：1分钟）共10张卡片，答对8张通过。
2）朗读儿歌：考生抽取考题，然后向考官朗读纸条上的儿歌。
这部分的儿歌基本是书本以外的内容。
主要以100字左右的文章为主，因此请考生在平时加强练习陌生单词的拼读的能力，同时对于看图说词以及听说相反中出现的词汇需要认知。
（考试时间：0.5分钟）考官会让考生随意抽取一篇短文朗读，考生只要在一分钟内把这段短文朗读完，而且错误率在2个以下。
3）听说相反：考生根据听到的句子，说出相反含义的句子。
（考试时间：1分钟）共有5道题，考生说对3题且较完整地重复出句子就可以通过。
4）听听做做：考生根据听到的指令，做出相应的动作，其中任何一个信息（如方位，颜色，数字，图形）发生错误则算该指令错误。
共有7个指令，做对5个指令即算通过。
5）快听快答：考生根据听到的问题进行回答。
共有8个问题，考生只要能答对6个问题就可以通过了。
6）看看说说：考生先抽取桌上的纸条，然后展示给考官看，考官会根据纸条上的内容向考生展示实物，考生需组织举行对该物品进行描述。
考生要在一分钟内用5-6句话去描述一件实物，并且无重大语法错误即算通过。
注意句型的多样性，同时要说出用途以及一句以上的复合句。
7）情景对话：2个考生参与考试，至少5-6个来回，内容贴切，表达流畅，打招呼和道别不算在对话范围内。
8）看图说话：考试时间为1.5分钟，要求考生用5-6句话来描述图片上的故事，其中至少一句是复合句，内容切题，表达流畅，无重大语法错为过。

三星情景对话备考要领三星口语的情景对话考的是学生在一定情景下的日常交际能力,是这个考试中比较难的一个项目. 具体考试形式为：两位考生组成对子，扮演角色，根据纸条上的提示进行对话，至少进行4-5个来回。
考生有1.5分钟的准备时间，但准备时不得交流。

然后放假以后开始复习迎考。
刚开始的时候我们是听取了辅导班老师的意见，主要精力放在了朗读、单词、快听快答和听听做做上，希望确保这４关能过。
看图说话，我们开始是直接放弃的，因为看了图片自己觉得以我的水平要把故事讲清楚也比较困难，更何况是才刚刚开始写作文的闺女。
暑假２个月，我们每天晚上复习一个内容，７个单元来回滚。
把磁带和补充教材的题目做得比较熟，书上和补充教材上的短文和诗歌也能倒背如流。

总结考试的经验如下：1.单词+朗读单词，就是花时间背。
没花头的。
但是朗读部门，并不是把课本和补充材料读熟就可以了，考试的题目不是书上的。
对词汇量和拼读有要求。
我们就是年纪小，不认识的单词太多，被关掉的。
因此事先也没有太多必要花很多精力在这上面，毕竟认识就认识，不认识总归不认识的。
对于小朋友，这一关，没有必要强行要求。
2.快听快答这关一定要听磁带、听录音，数学机器里面的声音，我们同学就是听不懂，不习惯录音机里的问题被关掉的。
各种句式要多练。
3.听听做做标点符号、四则运算是难点。
我们是熟读了标点。
然后我们心算不行，就跟她讲，实在不行把算式写上，告诉老师是填答案，来不及算：P4.看图说话一般情况下是四幅图片.我就让她把图片上有什么讲一讲就可以了。
比方说，我看到一个男孩和一个女孩，是同桌，男孩拿了女孩铅笔，因为他的铅笔要写错字。
话不用多，说了才有分，不说什么也没。
还好我事先讲了，不然这个如果真象一开始放弃不管，那这次就过不了了。
5.听说相反一个字，练吧。
听录音练。
6.看看说说所说的句子里面一定要有一句是复合句.有模板的'。

资深考官三星考试经验分享（JENNIFER 吴老师原创）三星考试的难度明显比二星上了一个台阶，其中牵涉到许多初中的语法，现在的考生年龄渐小，一般三年级左右就会参加考试，那么如何复习，从容应对考试呢？看图说词部分这部分是一定要通过的环节，有家长说，只要让孩子看见卡片会念，背得滚瓜烂熟就可以了，而我们会说这样是不够的，还需要让孩子掌握单词的拼写，为什么呢？因为这书上的220个单词，不单会在这个环节考到，在其他环节里都会出现。
举例来说，在朗读部分，可能会出现一个“Professor"的单词，很多孩子就不认得，不会念，但是让孩子看那张教授的卡片，孩子都念的出来。
到时候在朗读部分因此没通过就很不值了。
又如，在听听做做部分，有时候指令里就会让孩子写其中的单词；快听快答里的问题有时也会问到单词的拼写，诸如某个单词有几个字母组成，第二个字母是什么，等等。
所以希望家长帮孩子复习的时候，有时候要刻意问问孩子单词的拼写。
也有家长问过我们，辅导教材（白皮书）里，看图说词这个环节有很多例句，考这个环节的时候要用到吗？回答是既否定又肯定。
否定的是，在看图说词的环节，就是对着卡片念单词，不需要造句。
可是在其他环节里，就会用到了，特别是快听快答的部分，有些问题就从书上的例句演变而来。
我们在培训的时候，会把这些例句变成问句，让孩子回答。
这次8月的考试，我们也猜到了其中的很多题。
孩子因为对题目已经熟悉，回答的正确率就高了。
所以家长可以让孩子熟悉那些书上的例句，英语程度好的家长可以尝试着把这些例句变成问句，让孩子练习。
朗读部分这部分要求通顺流利，语音语调基本正确，至多可以念错两个单词。
那么孩子碰到不认识的单词怎么办？应该教导孩子用自然拼读法把这个单词拼出来，因为80%的英文单词都是按照发音规则的，而星级考试中的生词更是如此。
同样的，正是因为可以错两个单词，孩子可以在朗读时把生词或者不太有把握的单词轻声带过。
考试时，有些孩子遇见生词就楞住了，不敢念下去，这样就自然不能通过了。
所以家长一定要教导孩子，遇见生词不要慌，做到通顺流利才是最重要的。
还有些孩子喜欢一字一顿的念，作为家长，要纠正孩子的这个习惯。
在这里要教会孩子年份，日期等读法，因为文章里会以阿拉伯数字出现，孩子如果不熟悉，就会念错。
如1946，要念成”19“和”46“，读成”oneninefoursix"是不正确的。
考试前，孩子可以先浏览一下短文，然后再读。
听说相反部分三星和二星最大的区别在于听说相反中的单词，形容词和副词有了比较级和最高级的变化，而动词有了过去时，现在完成时，现在进行时，将来时，过去完成时等变化。
如果孩子之前没有学过比较级和最高级，过去时和过去分词等，建议家长可以帮孩子写出来，让孩子背一下，稍后我们也会罗列出这些变化。
在复习的时候，孩子先要把书上的单词背得滚瓜烂熟，因为只有这样，孩子在听句子复述的时候，才会立即反应过来。
有些孩子句子复述到反义词那里，就会停下来想想反义词是什么，想起来后，就会自然而然的把后半句忘记了。
另外，孩子在复述句子的时候，不一定要100%的正确，时间状语和地点状语有时可以忽略，关键是要说出反义词，时态和形容词的比较级和最高级要正确。
家长可以让孩子回家多听听白皮书的磁带，对语音语调有个认识，也对磁带里的声音熟悉一下。
因为我们也发现，如果老师读的话，孩子听得比较清楚，复述的也比较正确。
如果换成磁带，孩子就会比较紧张，同样的句子可能会出现听不清的情况。
听听做做部分这个环节里面，孩子要掌握以下几点：1）方位词和介词：左上（top left-hand corner)，左下(bottom left-hand corner)，右上（top right-hand corner),右下（bottom right-hand corner),在上方（at the top of）,在下方(at the bottom of),between ,in on ,above ,below,在中间（in the middle of）等。
2）基本动词：拿起put up,放下putdown,拿出takeout,翻到。
页turn to page画draw,写write,数count, 连接（join ,link ,connect),涂色color，擦掉wipeout,擦erase,剪cut,折fold,拍bounce,踢kick, 跳jump,走walk等3）基本图形和标点符号圆circle，长方形Oblong，正方形square，椭圆形oval，三角形triangle，五角星star，线（line),水果类（特别是三星看图说词里面的水果）苹果apple,橙子orange,草莓strawberry,荔枝lychee，樱桃cherry等，标点符号：逗号（comma),句号（full stop)，问号(question mark)，感叹号(exclamation mark)4）加减乘除运算,这部分比较难，书上只有单词，现将英语表达的方法归纳一下A+B：A plus B/add A to BA-B：A minus B/take(away)B from AA×B: A times B/A multiplied by BA÷B: A divide by B/A is divided by BThree plus six is nine.Ten minus two is eight.Three multiplied by four is twelve. / Three times four is twelve.Ten divided by two is five.The total is ten.5）基本道具：日历calendar，剪刀scissors，抽屉drawer等如果碰到特别小的孩子，不会做乘法和除法运算，建议考生考试的时候把数学公式列出来，到时候可以和老师说，是不会做数学，而不是英语程度不够好考生进入考场之后，要观察一下桌上的道具或者地上的图形等，分清大小盒子，图画书，教科书等。
画出图形永远要比用什么笔画重要，有些学生就因为找那个颜色的笔，然后打开笔套，而浪费了时间，没有做这个动作，而下个指令也已经跳出。
同样的，也要教会孩子，这个是英语考试，不是画图比赛，随便画一下就可以了，不必要画的很漂亮，而错过了下个指令。
快听快答部分三星比二星难的地方就在于增加了许多常识性的题目，我们将常识题大致归纳一下：1)地理常识很多孩子没有上过地理课，没有基本的地理概念，所以家长应该这样引导孩子a)国家面积依次排序为Russia俄罗斯,Canada加拿大,China中国,USA（the united states of America）美国，知道这个排序之后，碰到所有比较大小的问题，孩子都应该会回答，譬如，Which country is bigger, Canada or USA?孩子都会回答Canada.同样的，如果是其他国家和这四个国家比，肯定是其他国家比较小，如：Which country is smaller, New Zealand or the United States? 孩子就会回答New Zealand.b)各大洲和一些重要国家Asia亚洲China ,Japan ,Korea ,Singapore ,India等Europe欧洲France ,Great Britain ,Germany ,Spain ,Italy等Africa非洲Egypt ,South Africa等North America北美洲USA ,Canada ,Mexico等South America南美洲Brazil ,Argentina等Oceania大洋洲Australia ,New Zealand等家长也要告诉孩子，中国在亚洲，所有在亚洲的国家就会离中国比较近，其他洲就会比较远，如果能给孩子看个地球仪，孩子就会有比较深刻的认识。
去年的考试中曾经有过一道全真题:Name three countries in Europe(说出三个欧洲的国家)，很遗憾，孩子因为没有这样的地理常识，所以当天这道题目几乎没有孩子回答正确。
这次8月份的考题里面也有类似的题目，如：“Is France in Asia or in Europe?”, “Name a country that is very near China”,“Is Japan in Asia or in Europe?”而经过老师培训和家长强调后，孩子回答的正确率就高了。
c)还有一些常识，比如白宫(White House)在美国，长江是中国第一大河流，世界第三的河流等，希望孩子们也要了解2）数学运算，参见听听做做这里还会碰到孩子十几和几十不能分清的情况，在这里，家长就要告诉孩子，念十几的时候，那个“teen”的音比较重，而几十的时候“ty”的音就比较轻。
反复操练后，孩子就自然而然熟悉了。
3）重要节日这个部分在二星里面是重点强调的，如果念过二星的小朋友，这部分就比较熟悉，如果没有念过二星，就需要家长给孩子再抓一下，以下节日要熟悉：New Year’s Day元旦(January the first)Chinese New Year/Spring Festival春节Labour Day劳动节(May the first)Children’s Day儿童节(June the first)Teachers’ Day教师节(September the tenth)National Day国庆节(October the first)Christmas圣诞节(December the twenty-fifth)回答的时候要说“It’s on….”,在这里，孩子要做到对十二月份，以及1到31的序数词都特别熟悉。
当然，还会问哪个节日对孩子最重要，哪个节日对外国人最重要等，孩子因为对这些节日都熟悉了，自然就会回答正确了。
4）与单词有关的拓展之前在看图说词的环节里，我们已经提到，可以让孩子熟悉一下白皮书上的例句，增加一些和单词有关的常识。
5）常见情景的回答a)当别人赞扬你，邀请你吃东西或给你礼物的时候，回答“Thank you.”如:“Your English is so good!”, “You are wearing a beautiful dress today.”，“Help yourself to some fish.”，“This is a gift for you.”等。
b)当你听到别人有好消息的时候，要恭喜别人。
“Congratulations!”，如：“I got full marks in the exam!”, “I won the first prize in the competition!”等。
