Bugs for Breakfast

“wake up,mother duck.

We are hungry.”said Dilly Duck and Dally Duck.

Mother Duck woke up.

“We will find food for breakfast

Down ate the river,”she said.

Mother Duck walked down the hill.

Dilly Duck and Dally Duck ran after her.

Splash!splash!splash!

Mother Duck went down into the water to look for food.

Dilly Duck looked at a frog sitting on aleaf.

“we can’t eat frogs”he said.

“frogs are too big for little ducks to eat.”

Dally Duck looked ate the fish swimming in the water. “we can’t eat fish,”she said.

“fish are too big for little ducks to eat.”

Dilly duck said,

“I am very,very hungry.”

“we can’t eat frogs ,and we can’t eat fish,”said Dally Duck.“but we can eat water bugs.”

“we will have bugs for breakfast,”said Dilly Duck.

“I like eating water bugs,”

Said Dally Duck.

“You are clever little ducks,”said Mother Duck.

Sam Plays Swing Ball

Sam saw the big boys and girls playing swing ball.

“can I play ,too?”she said.

“You are too little to play with us,”said a big boy.

“The ball goes too fast and it will hit you.”

Sam sat down on the grass and looked at the big boys and girls.

The bell went,and all the boys and girls ran inside.

But Sam went to get one of the bats.

Sam hit the ball.

It went way up and it came back down to her.

Sam hit the ball again and again.

It went faster and faster.

She had fun,and she forgot to go inside.

“where is Sam?”said the teacher.

“Sam is playing outside,”said a boy.

“She is naughty.”

Th teacher looked out the window,and she saw Sam.

The teacher said,”Sam is not naughty.

She is new at school.

Kate ,will you go outside and get her for me ,please?”

“I forgot to come inside,”said Sam.

“Swing ball is fun.”

The beach house

Dad said to Emma and Matthew,

“we are going to the beach for two days.”

“Oh ,good,”said Matthew.

“Where are we going to sleep?”

“Have you got a house for us at the beach?”said Emma.“Yes,”said Dad.

“I have got a house for us.

Come outside and have a look.”

“Outside!”said Emma.

Matthew and Emma ran outside.

They saw a big bow on the grass.

“A box!” asaid Matthew.

“We can’t stay at the beach in abox.”

Emma said to Dad,

“You are playing a trick on us.”

Dad said,

“Look in the box, and you will see a house.”

Matthew and Emma looked in the box.

“I can’t see a house.”said Emma.

“I can see abig blue bag,”said Matthew.

Dad got the bag out of the box.

They all looked inside the bag.

“It’s a tent!” said Matthew.

“A big blue then,”said Emma.

“Emma!we are going to sleep in this tent,”said Matthew.
