探究1:That’s why I like reading books ...
That’s why +句子:“那就是为什么...”,固定句式
e.g. That’s why she always exercises.
That’s why he is fatter and fatter.
探究2:as long as的用法
1)是as...as 结构中间接long 这个形容词,翻译为:“和...一样长”,后面接名词或代词
e.g. His ruler is as long as mine.他的尺子和我的一样长
2)as long as 是个固定搭配:“只要”,后面接完整的句子,引导的是条件状语从句。
e.g.I’ll do more housework as long as she likes.
只要她喜欢,我会做更多的家务活。
探究3:if :如果,是否
1)作“如果”讲时,引导的是条件状语从句,时态用“主将从现”,即如果主句用一般将来时,从句则要用一般现在时代替一般将来时;从句的位置可放句首,也可放句末。
I’ll call you if he comes back tomorrow.
= If he comes back tomorrow,I’ll call you .
My mother will go out if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
=If it doesn’t rain tomorrow,my mother will go out.
2)作“是否”讲时,引导的是宾语从句。
I want to know if you will come back tomorrow.

探究4:reach:到达,伸手
1)做“到达”讲时,reach+地点=get to+地点=arrive in/at+地点
