探究1：That’s why I like reading books ...
That’s why +句子：“那就是为什么...”,固定句式
e.g. That’s why she always exercises.
That’s why he is fatter and fatter.
探究2：as long as的用法
1）是as...as 结构中间接long 这个形容词，翻译为：“和...一样长”，后面接名词或代词
e.g. His ruler is as long as mine.他的尺子和我的一样长
2）as long as 是个固定搭配：“只要”，后面接完整的句子，引导的是条件状语从句。

e.g.I’ll do more housework as long as she likes.
只要她喜欢，我会做更多的家务活。

探究3：if ：如果，是否
1）作“如果”讲时，引导的是条件状语从句，时态用“主将从现”，即如果主句用一般将来时，从句则要用一般现在时代替一般将来时;从句的位置可放句首，也可放句末。

I’ll call you if he comes back tomorrow.
= If he comes back tomorrow，I’ll call you .
My mother will go out if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
=If it doesn’t rain tomorrow，my mother will go out.
2)作“是否”讲时，引导的是宾语从句。

I want to know if you will come back tomorrow.

1）做“到达”讲时，reach+地点=get to+地点=arrive in/at+地点
