2.stop daydreaming 停止做白日梦
(1) Stop to do sth. 停下正在做的事去做另一件事
He stopped to watch it carefully. 他停下来仔细观察它。

(2) stop doing sth. 停止做某事（即停止正在做的事）
When the teacher came in, they stop talking.
(3) stop sb./sth. from doing sth. 制止某人做某事（其中介词from在主动句中可
以省去，而在被动句中不能省去）
(主动句)Nothing will stop us (from) reaching our aim. 什么也阻止不了我们到达目的
（被动句）I was stopped from taking the exam. 我因病没能参加考试。

3. instead 代替顶替表示没有做前面的事，而是做了后面的事。

一般位于句首或者句尾，常接句子而不是短语。

He wanted to be a singer, but he became a teacher instead.
instead of 代替，而不是是介词短语后接名、代、动名词等。

具有否定意义，后接没有做的事。

I stayed in bed all day instead of going to work.我没去上班，而是躺了一整天。

4. act v. 表演，做事，担当-----action n. 行动、行为
actor 男演员-----actress 女演员 waiter 男招待员----- waitress女演员
host 男主持人-----hostess 女主持人
5. 宾语从句的要点：应该用陈述句的语序，I don’t know who you are .
由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句可用疑问词加不定式来改写。

例句：I don’t know where I wil go.= I don’t know where to go. 6. had better do sth.最好做某事
would rather do sth. 更想做某事、宁愿做某事
