可摘式牙周夹板修复治疗牙周炎的临床效果

ABSTRACT: Objective To explore the clinical effect of removable periodontal splints in the treatment of periodontitis. Methods Fifty patients with periodontitis admitted in our hospital from January 1, 2016 to December 1, 2017 were randomly selected as the study objects. The patients were divided into two groups according to the order of single and double numbers. The single number patients were set as experimental group and the double number patients were set as control group, with 25 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with removable titanium alloy periodontal splints, while the control group was treated with removable partial dentures. The plaque index, sulcus bleeding index, periodontal depth, masticatory function score, postoperative complications and degree of satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of plaque index and sulcus bleeding index, periodontal depth of the two groups improved, and those in the experimental group were better than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the masticatory function scores of both groups increased, and those in the experimental group were higher than the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The degree of satisfaction in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Using removable titanium alloy periodontal splints to repair periodontitis can not only improve plaque index and sulcus bleeding index, but also ameliorate the periodontal depth, reduce the incidence of complications, and then improve patients' satisfaction with the hospitals' medical services, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
