Ⅱ.Teaching aims :
(1).The can talk about entertainment activities they did.
(2).They can talk about their likes and dislikes.
(3).They can use the simple past tense.

(1).To get information from reading
(2).Understand descriptions about one’s free time activities;
(3).Describe one’s own pastime activities.

Ⅳ. Teaching methods:Audio-visul method, question-raising method, task-based teaching method , heuristic teaching method , group work, pair work

a recorder, a computer, and blackboard
Ⅵ. Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warming-up (课前热身3 minutes)
Let’s sing:Sing a song together, Mary had a little lamb, The lyrics are used in the past tense
(设计意图:营造良好的英语学习氛围,拉近师生的距离)
Step 2 Lead-in (复习导入6 minutes)
1.Let’s talk:Teacher plays different kinds of short movies, TV programs and music.
Students enjoy them and talk about:
What type of movie / TV program / music is it?
What do you think of the movie / TV program / music?
(设计意图:通过视频,让学生复习各种音乐、节目、电影的类型的说法以及喜好。

并通过脱口秀视频,引入课题板书文章题目Talk show)
Step 3 Reading (28 minutes)
1、Talk about the questions of Warming-up in pairs.
2. Fast-reading:Listen to the tape ,read the stories and match these people with their activities. ( Activity 9 )
3. Careful-reading:Students read the stories again and complete the chart in Activity 10. Teacher asks 3 students to write their answers on the board to check whether they are right or not.
4. Read the stories again and match the sentences. ( Activity 11)
Students read the material together, and then match the sentences. Teacher checks the answers by asking several students to answer it.
(设计意图:通过三个目的不同的阅读活动,让学生有浅入深逐步理解该阅读材料。

在了解材料概况的前提下,查找相关细节信息,并再次提炼相关要点。


5. Teacher explains the important phrases and sentences in the material.
(设计意图:在老师的解释过程中处理阅读材料中的生词,让学生更深刻理解相关重要的词汇的使用。


6. Retell
Ask students to answer the questions about Mary with complete sentences in Activity 12. Ask students to complete Mary’s story with the information in Activity 13.
(设计意图:通过用完整的句子回答相关Mary的故事,并根据这些信息转述Mary的故事,以此训练学生的阅读水平并为下面的写作做好铺垫。


Step 4 Writing (8 minutes)
1.Interview and write ( Activity 14)
Students Interview their partners and write down the answers in Activity 14. Teacher walks around to see if they can write the sentences correctly.
(设计意图:利用活动14的问题让学生采访同伴的音乐爱好,从而训练学生用一般过去时记述事情的水平。


2. Link and write(Activity 15)
Link the answers in activity 14 to form a paragraph.
Step 5 Summary (2 minutes)
(设计意图:老师总结本节课所学习的主要内容,让学生学会梳理所学知识)
Step 6 Homework (1 minutes)
Do the exercise on the book, page 28.
