本课内容为高二英语必修五module 4 Carnival 的第三课时内容。

前两节课程的输入为学生提供了相关话题的语言和知识的积累,这一节课的主要教学意图在于与话题相关语言的输出。

教师对教学内容进行了补充---两篇材料一篇为课本提供,一篇为课外选取,两篇内容均为节日相关的介绍,难度适中,容易把握,所涉及内容方面典型且具备代表性,以常见常用的结构,词汇贯穿又使其具备了可借鉴的特质。

输出部分回到中国节日的话题即可调动学生的文化和语言储备,又是对课堂阅读的内容的检验和总结,此教学内容基本能实现以读促写的教学目的。

学生分析本课的教学对象是高二年级学生,在听,说,读,写方面已经具备了一定的基础,而且有前两节课的内容做铺垫,对节日的话题也有了一定的了解。

在学习狂欢节的历史发展及人们的活动,饮食和习俗的过程中,通过查找相关资料的实践,学生也已对中国的节日信息有所了解和积累,体现出一定的背景知识储备和对节日话题的兴趣。

因此教师认为,从技能与动机两个方面,学生具备实现本课教学内容的条件。

教学目标知识与技能掌握与描述日期,起源,事件,食物和意义相关的词汇和表达,能够获取信息,处理信息,组织信息并运用所学描述中国节日。

过程与方法认知策略:归纳和整理新涉及和已经学过的有关中外节日的词汇,短语,并作类比记忆。

调控策略:在于读过程中不断提取并加工有效信息,提高阅读效率,选择使用信息,嵌入写作文本中,感知地道的英语表达方式,并激发积累整理知识的意识。

创新策略:改进原有信息组织,扩大选词范围及表达方式,举一反三。
