Tourism resources are the foundation of tourism industry development. Mastering the related knowledge of tourism resources is the basic premise of cognizing the law of tourism activities. Taking Beijing as a case, the course, Beijing tourism resources serves as an essential discipline for the students to comprehensively grasp the basic knowledge and rules of tourism resources. This course studies the basic laws and teaches students the systematic knowledge of tourism resources in eight aspects, including the cultural landscapes in Beijing, its water sceneries, the biological landscapes, climate and meteorological conditions, historical remains and relic sites, ancient buildings and facilities, tourist commodities and cultural humanity activities. To strengthen the students’ understanding of theory and enhance their awareness of participating in the practice of tourism management, the course adopts the teaching methodology of classroom teaching and social practicing. Classroom teaching comprises the majority of the teaching schedule, while the latter serves as an auxiliary instrument. The aim of the course is not only enabling students to understand the tourism resources for establishing the cognitive frame of tourism disciplines, but also helping them lay a foundation to participate in the practical management in Beijing’s tourism industry.

“Electronic commerce network technology" is a major curriculum for e-commerce. This course introduces the basic concepts of e-commerce network technology, composition theory, application and development trends. The main contents of this course include the basic knowledge of computer networks, computer network architecture, standards and protocols, network connectivity, network settings and applications, computer LAN, Internet technology, principles, e-commerce and computer networks, e-commerce systems, e- commerce site performance; basic concepts of network security, network security technology, e-commerce network security management and so on. This course focus on the basic theory and application of technical knowledge, in addition to introduce the basic principles of e-commerce network, it also introduce s the popular networking products and the latest network technology. On the completion of this course, students will be able to master the principle of e-commerce network and the standards and protocols to e-commerce network, learn about the new technologies of computer networks and use the latest network application technology to performance e-commerce activities.

“Electronic Commerce Website Planning and Designing”systematically introduces all the stages of the whole electronic commerce website construction, including planning and designing, development, testing and release, promotion, management and assessment of electronic commerce website f rom the enterprises’ strategic implementation of electronic commerce. This course emphasizes on the planning and designing of electronic commerce website, and the application of common website development software (such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, and etc.) On the completion of this course, students will be able to: 1) understand the definition and framework of electronic commerce website; 2) grasp the theories and methods of electronic commerce website planning and designing; and 3) cultivate good professional skills of electronic commerce website development in order to be better prepared for their future career of electronic commerce after they graduate.
