Officials say the islands of Tokelau in the South Pacific Ocean have become the world’s first territory totally powered by the sun．The move is expected to save money and ease the environmental burden of depending on imported fossil fuels．

class．My name is John Smith，and 1 will be the main instructor for this semester’s history class，the American South after the Civil War．We’11 read books covering
the years after 1 865,when the Union defeated the confederate forces of the southem states．There will be three midterms and one final exam at the end of this semester．In addition,there will also be one paper that is due on December 15th，at the end of this school term．
The first topic we'11 be discussing is the famous speech made by President Abraham Lincoln after the decisive（决定性的）battle of Gettysburg in the state of Pennsylvania．The speech is 0ne of the most famous in American history，and I think it best describes the feelings of many people at that time during this war between the American States．
