My Favorite Actor: Charlie Chaplin
Have you ever heard of Charlie Chaplin? He was a really famous actor and filmmaker from a long time ago. Chaplin lived from 1889 to 1977. That's like a hundred years ago! He was born in London, England but later moved to Hollywood, California to make movies.
Charlie Chaplin is my all-time favorite actor. I just love watching his silly, funny movies where he plays a character called "The Tramp." The Tramp wears a funny outfit with a small mustache, a tight jacket, big shoes, and carries a cane. His clothes don't fit quite right and look kind of raggedy. But that's part of what makes The Tramp so hilarious!

Gold Rush, City Lights, and Modern Times. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt!

Hi friends! Today I want to tell you about one of the most famous and funniest people who ever lived - Charlie Chaplin. He was an actor, comedian, filmmaker, and all-around entertainer from a long time ago, but he is still super famous today for his hilarious movies and his iconic character, the Little Tramp.
Charlie Chaplin was born way back in 1889 in London, England. He had a pretty tough childhood. His dad left the family when he was just a baby, and his mom had to work hard to support them. She even had to send Charlie and his brother to an orphanage for a little while when she got really sick. But even though things were hard, Charlie always loved entertaining people and making them laugh from a very young age.
When Charlie was a teenager, he started going on stage and doing comedy acts and funny impressions. He was a natural at physical comedy, which means doing silly movements and expressions with his body and face instead of just telling jokes.
