一、教学目标
1. 知识目标:T o learn the new words and expressions.

Patterns:

I’m so good that I should be in Hollywood instead.
Who do you think would be suitable for entering the film industry?
Millie is such a good storyteller that she can write exciting scripts.
Though I like acting, I’d rather be a director.

Dreams are of no value unless they are followed by action.

三、教学准备
1.Multimedia
2.通过视频剪辑软件,剪辑不同种类的电影不超过一分钟,再通过视频合成软件将他们整合成一个电影短片。

3.红包(The best group can grab a red packet.)
4.歌曲《You raise me up》.

五、教学过程
Step 1. Warm up
Watch the video about the films which won Oscar nomination.
1. Do you like seeing films?
2. How many types of films do you know?
本环节通过观看奥斯卡提名的好莱坞影片的形式来引入本节课话题,激发学生的学习兴趣。

教师呈现单词Hollywood,一来呼应主题,二来为电视剧琅琊榜的出现做铺垫,为许多导演希望将最热电视剧拍成电影提供灵感,从而达到激活本节课话题的目的,起到承上启下的作用。

Step2. Presentation
Show some pictures and introduce different types of films.
通过展示各种各样的不同类型的影片,呈现生词并带读,自然而然引出《我爱猜电影》环节。

Step 3. Guessing game
《我爱猜电影》这一环节的设计意图是希望学生通过guessing game , 对先前所学的不同种类的影片加以复习巩固。

Step 4. Practice
A .Sandy has found some pictures of different types of films. Do you know what types of films they are?
B .Sandy and Kitty are members of the school drama club. They are talking about entering the film industry. Work in pairs and exchange your ideas. Use the conversation below as a model.
Listen to the dialogue in Part B and answer the questions.
1. Who does Sandy think would be suitable for entering the film industry?
2. What would Sandy like to do in the film industry?
这一环节通过听录音对Sandy 和Kitty的对话有了初步了解,进而进入本课重点对话的操练。

由此引出so…that…,such…that…为编写新对话作铺垫。

Step 5. Comic
1. Watch the flash.
. Then answer the question What‘s Eddie’s dream?
2. Act out the comic strip.
通过观看视频‘the conversation between Eddie and Hobo’.
Then answer two questions.
1. Who does Eddie think he is?
2. Does Hobo think so? 继续操练对话,巩固所学单词和短语。

让学生上台表演对话,关注或纠正学生的语音语调。

Step6. Activities Red packets(抢红包)
抢红包环节的设计来源于生活,而电影来源于生活的。

我们都生活在这个时代,所以就有了Grab a red packet.希望学生通过抢红包环节对这一堂课所学进行一次复习巩固,完成本堂课的教学目标。

Step7. Emotion education
Young. Dream. Forward
To be the young dream catchers and to move forward bravely.
呈现胡歌以及北京电影学院的图片,利用偶像的力量和学生们对北影的向往,激发学习生活的动力。

并以一首励志歌曲(You raise me up)让情感升华。

Step 8.Homework
1. Read the text book and learn the new words and phrases by heart.
2. Do the exercises in the workbook
