As everybody knows that the traffic problems in ourcity bee more and more serious. During the rush-hours every morning and afternoon, the roads are verycrowded. There are traffic jams almost on every mainroad. The aident rate bees
higher than before. Ithink that it is high time for the
city government to takesome measures to solve this problem.
First of all, we should repair the roads, for some ofthe roads are in bad condition and it is difficult for thedrivers to go through. Secondly, we should build more overpasses so as to cut down traffic jams. Thirdly, the pro-duction of cars should be controlled, for there are toomany cars moving on the roads every day. As long as wedo something like this, the traffic problem will be solvedor at least the aident rate will be lowered. I do hope ourgovernment will aept my suggestions.
金钱观 What Are Your Opinions About Money?
Believe it or not, almost everybody loves money. Butmoney doesn‘t mean everything. You can not fulfill yourdream with money only. Money is only the means of exchange. We can hardly saymoney brings happiness. But without money we are certainly unhappy and can donothing.
In this world people sell something for money. If youare a teacher, you can earn your life by selling knowledge. A worker sells hislabor and a monk sells
spiritual fort for people‘sl ives. Even a beggar can sell something for money — hesells his dignity.
Usually we get the things we need by selling something. And the money we get differs aording to the service we give. If the customersreceive good service from
us, they will pay us well. With this money we can buythe things we need. To be rich means you can buy almost everything you want. Weare well-off when we are able to afford the things we need.
Quite a few think that they make more money to get morehappiness. Some even say, ―If I make one milliondollars, I will be very happy and I can do whatever I like.‖ When they reach the goal, they find themselves unhappy. A greatancient Chinese thinker said, ―Never be fettered by toomuch money nor be chopped by poverty. ‖ So I personallythink a well-off life is an ideal one. A fortable life is the most important
Drunken Driving Nobody could have failed to notice thefact that drunken driving has been a grave problem with which we areconfronted. Generally speaking, there are several reasons aounting for/behind this phenomenon. Firstly, recent decades have witnessed the rapiddevelopment of people’s living standards. As a result, cars gained
ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into oureveryday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities or banquets thanever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they may get drunkbut continue to drive.
Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequenceif we keep turning a blind eye to it. Firs and
foremost, this behavior willdirectly threaten the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians/goers,resulting in traffic aidents, injuries and even deaths. Besides,
treating theinjured and repairing broken cars mean a grievous waste of money, time andresources. Last but not least, this irresponsible driving will make the road anightmare, and thus, it will causes serious losses of
faith in governments andthe society.
In view of the seriousness of this problem, effectivemeasures must be taken before things get worse. First, it is essential that thesupervisory role of laws and regulations
should be strengthened to punish those performingdrunken driving. Secondly, the public, especially drivers, should enhance theirawareness of public safety. With stringent laws and alert public, it will onlya matter of time for drunken driving to bee things of past.。
