13、On May 23th last year, Shenzhen introduced new rules in order to warn the “Chinese style of crossing the road”. “Chinese people cross roads without thinking about traffic lights” said a post on Sina Weibo.
A CCTV news program showed that in only an hour, more than 600 people jumped red lights when crossing a road in Shijiazhuang, Hebei.
Many people say that people jump red lights because the red light lasts too long. Such an opinion is supported by a research team at Tongji University.____did research on people’s waiting times at different road crossings for three years. However, a survey on Sina Weibo suggested that people jump red lights mainly because they don’t obey rules. “I always obey traffic rules. Time is important but safety should come first,” someone wrote on his Weibo.

15、Clothing is a language. It tells us about individual people: their personality, their aye, their place in society and so on. If we want to know more about society,we can look at traditional clothing.
The continent of Africa has a long history and a rich culture, and this is shown in traditional dress . You often find three colours一red, gold and green in the clothing. The first colour stands for the blood of millions of people who suffered as slaves(奴隶); the second is for the rich resources of the African earth; and the third represents the grasslands of home. The patterns(图案) on the c lothing also have a meaning. A common pattern is in the form of a cross “×”, which stands for “unity”. Another pattern is a rectangular box, which represents “strength”.
Because clothing has a strong social meaning, people are very careful in choosing what to wear. It wouldn't be good to wear the wrong clothing, or to wear clothes in the wrong way. For instance, in Ghana, a woman should wear her waistband differently according to the importance of the social event.
Traditional dress also tells us about everyday life. African designs are famous for loose(宽松的) clothing. The climate, with the hot sun and wide temperature changes, requires that the clothes are comfortable for daily life.

18、A 12-year-old girl from Virginia, US, never thought that a simple message she put online could bring her big problems. She posted the words, “Killing. Meet me in the library Tuesday”, with three emojis(表情符号) of a gun, a knife and a bomb(炸弹) on Instagram, a social media(社交媒体). She was told that she broke the law because of threatening(威胁) her school.
This problem is not far away from us. Not long ago, Ni Hanxiang, a Chinese student at a university in the US, was sent back to China after expressing on social media that he would kill his teachers if he failed to pass his exams.
In China, posting threatening words online is also against the law. In 2013, Wu Hongfei, a singer, got into trouble for saying on weibo that she wanted to blow up a building.
“Threatening happens not only face to face but also through the Internet, social media and the telephone,” said Mr. Cao, a lawyer from Chongqing. “Although the law of China protects people’s right of free speech, it doesn’t include words that threaten others’ lives and national safety.”
“Some people may not mean to threaten. They may just be trying to say “I’m strong”, said Fred Pratt, a lawyer from the US.
The girl’s mother said her daughter was a good kid who had never been in trouble before. Ni Hanxiang also said he didn’t realize that what he put online was so serious.
“But not knowing the law doesn’t mean the law will treat you any differently if you break it,” says David Allen Green, a lawyer from the UK. So, do you think we’d better spend a minute or two thinking about the words or emojis we use on social media before we press “send”?

B.the girl’s mother didn’t think her daughter was a bad child
C.Cheating in an examination at school may get you into trouble
D.Putting threatening words on QQ may bring you problems
4.This passage mainly wants to tell us that _______.

C.students should study hard at school and not use the Internet too much
D.we should be careful when we send words or emojis on social media
