作文范文
Possible version one:
As a major channel of consumption information, the rating is an efficient source of information for shopping in our own consumption. Interestingly, the same rating may have different influences on different consumers.
I tend to consult consumption ratings whatever I purchase. Firstly, the higher rating means the higher quality of the product, or better service. Based on the ratings, I bought my beloved backpack, saw interesting films and tasted delicious foods. Secondly, ratings can save time to make decisions in shopping. For example, there are huge amounts of reference books which I am often confused to choose from. In that case, it is both convenient and economical to buy books according to the ratings.
There is no doubt that it is unwise to depend completely on the ratings in consumption. The advantages and disadvantages of ratings are often closely related. It is necessary to hold an objective attitude towards ratings.
听力原文
1.W: Hi, Richard. Sorry, I’m late.
M: It is half past ten. We agreed to meet at ten fifteen.
W: I didn’t hear my mom call me at nine and I slept until a quarter to ten. I came as soon as I could.
2.W: Hi, John. You study at college after work?
M: Yeah. The company where I work gave me a promotion, and I have to manage staff in my new job. But my degree is engineering.
3.W: Hi, Tom. What’s up?
M: Hi, Mom. The cycle path is closed for repairs, so I decide to take a bus home. Or could you pick me up at the station and give me a lift?
W: No problem.
4.W: Jim, don’t forget we’re going to that party at Carlyle’s tomorrow night.
M: What’s tomorrow? Friday?
W: That’s right. You’re not working, are you?
M: Actually, I am. And I don’t finish until Saturday.
5.M: You look so excited, Mary. How was the celebration going last weekend?
W: It was perfect. Tony took Joyce to a movie in the afternoon so my classmates and I arranged everything in the house, the food, balloons, and the big birthday cake. You can imagine how astonished Joyce felt at night.
长对话
6-7
W: I have always been fond of music. My mom says I used to dance around the room whenever music was playing!
M: Wow, that’s interesting.
W: As soon as I went to primary school, she got me some piano lessons. Then later I met a really good music teacher at secondary school who introduced me to the guitar, and I knew immediately it was the right instrument for me. So I stopped my piano lessons. But I’ve never regretted stopping them, although it wasn’t until I got to college that I knew how much I’d already learned!
8-9
M: Hi, Rose. I’m glad I ran into you. I’ve been wanting to ask you a favor.
W: Right?
M: As you know, I’ve been working on a website idea. It’s for people interested in history, wildlife, er, for them to study here.
W: Sounds interesting but I’m not sure how I can help.
M: Well, you do know a lot about websites. I wondered if you could take a look at what’s online already and tell me how user-friendly those websites are.
W: But when do you want it done? I’m pretty busy at the moment.
M: It’s not urgent, in fact.
W: OK. My notebook is under repair but hopefully it won’t let me down next week. M: Mm, thanks.
10-13
W: Hi, Tom! It’s great to see you again. I’ve been abroad for a period of time.
M: Really, where did you go?
W: Well, first I flew to New York for two meetings. After that, I flew to Atlanta, where I had to make a presentation at a company conference.
M: It sounds like you’ve been busy.
W: Yes. It’s g ood to be home again. What have you been doing lately?
M: Oh, nothing much. I’ve been working in the garden these past few days. Alice has been away for the past two weeks visiting her relatives in Chicago.
W: How long have you lived here in Denver?
M: We moved here four years ago. We’ve lived on the street ever since and they’ve been the happiest years of our lives.
W: Yes, Jack and I also love this neighborhood. Though we’ve only lived here for two years.
M: That’s strange, I always thought you had lived here for more than ten years.
W: No, we moved here two years ago. Well, I have to get going. Have a good day. M: You, too. Glad to have you back in the neighborhood!
14-17
W: Hi, Harry! What’s that book you’re reading? Heroes?
M: Hi, Anna. Yes, it’s about the kind of people that teenagers like us think as heroes. I mean, lots of people think a hero nowadays has to be someone like in films — like Superman. But I think there are plenty of ordinary people going around doing great things.
W: Mmm, I guess so. So metimes it’s about what they encourage you to do, isn’t it? Those people can be heroes too.
M: That’s a bit like my granddad, then. He’s done all sorts of things to help other people since he sold his business and gave up work. He’s surely my hero. But tho se heroes never get to be famous, do they? It’s not fair.
W: That’s true. He sounds like one of those quiet heroes you get in story books …M: Yeah, he is. And a story book’s one place where you do need proper heroes.
W: I’m with you there. I read loads of them which is close to reality and I surely wouldn’t get to the end if they didn’t have heroes in them. Too boring.
M: Great writers can really help you to love reading too. I mean, I wasn’t fond of reading until I found my favorite. Still, it’s unusual t o find writers that can do that — for me, anyway.
W: That’s right.
18-20
M: We spend hours dreaming of getting away from it all. Two men from the Solomon Islands accidentally did that. They spent 29 days away from the fierce competition after getting lost at sea. They set off from an island on September 3rd in a small motorboat to travel 200km to another island. It was a trip they had taken several times before. Soon after they set out, a storm messed up their navigation system. They
lost their ability to find their location at sea. The storm blew them off course. They ended up 400km away, off the coast of Papua New Guinea. The two men were positive about their unplanned adventure. Rather than be upset, they said they enjoyed it. One man said, “We didn’t know where we were but did not expect to be in another country.” They survived by eating oranges they had bought for their journey and fruit floating in the sea. A fisherman spotted their boat and they were rescued. The man said, “I look forward to going back home, but I guess it was a nice break from everything.”。
