关于自学英语演讲稿3分钟when finishing the high school course, not every student has the chance or ability to go to college. some students choose to seek a job, start their own business or pursue other interest. however, for some students who want to get further education, they choose self-education, self-education is no better than university studies.on the one hand, self-education lacks of a well-defined structure. in the school, the teacher will make some plans for students studies; they plan the target, the fulfillment of expectation and assessment of the program. with these, students can know their own flaws, making progress gradually. while self-learners may lose themselves, they have no test, no homework and no exam; it is hard for them to know how to get improved.on the other hand, self-education doesnt provide the environment which students can learn from each other. college provides students the stage to communicate with others, making friends; studentscan also have the chance to enhance the ability of team work and readership. those abilities are very important for students, when they are finding a job, they have the advantages.self-education is a way of gaining knowledge; i prefer to study in college, because i like to communicate with friends. though self-education cant take place for university studies, we can choose to learn elective courses in that way.当完成高中课程的学习后,并不是每个学生有机会和有能力上大学。

y perspective, university is the overwhelmingly platform for me to improve my social skills and comprehensive capacity. What really counts is that with the ample chances for self-enrichment provided, we will not only emerge as a more broadly educated person, but will also reap the benefits that help us gain a strong foothold in society. To a larger extent, university education should cultivate well-rounded graduates to take social obligation and make contributions, instead of dwelling on increasing employment rates.

I’m very glad to be here to have a speech. The topic of my speech is <the spirit of sports>.As far as I’m concerned, I’m a sheer amateur of sports, being fascinated by swimming, running, mount aineering and so on. I couldn’t agree with these perspectives from people who dislike sports, because you’ll feel greatly relieved after being drenched in sweats by sports. Sports can also help you forget your worries and stress, feeling unprecedented relaxed. As is known, a healthy body is extraordinarily crucial. Moreover physical exercise undeniably exerts a far-reaching influence on keeping ourselves fit. In taking part in out-door sports, we are closer to nature and can take in fresh air. The beauty of nature will keep us clear-headed, which is essential to our health. Besides sports can stimulate the circulation of blood and help to excrete the wastes in the body. It also can work up our appetite and activate or digestion. In a word, sports can give rise to a strong body for us.In contemporary society, with the increasing focus on health, people in ever expanding numbers join the trend of doing sports and begin to accept more and more sorts of fashionable sports, ranging from hiking to diving. From this phenomenon, we can see not only do sports play a significant role in health, but also lay a solid foundation for human beings’ spirit.Taking hiking for example, it’s a blend of man and nature completely way to travel, and also a kind of sports that not only need your physical strength, but also need the patience, perseverance and persistence. At the beginning of climbing a mountain, you’ll be exciting with the fantastic scene of mountain, river and water. However, after a half way, you’ll fell so t ired and exhausted. The climbing road becomes more and more steep. At that time, it requires your persistence and determination to conquer arduous situations. It just likes the life, the closer the success is, the more difficulties you must endure. From my aspects, the enchantment of sports is that it’s a challenge for the limit of your body --- both a sort of healthy and popular life style and an reflection of optimistic and positive attitude. Just like nowadays, the development of Olympic games is harmo nious and prosperous, for the reason that it’s not only forshaping human’s body, but more for pursuing a king of spirit --- faster, higher, stronger. This is my speech. Thank you.英语演讲比赛主题演讲稿怎么写篇4In Calaveras, California, there lived a man whose name was Jim Smiley. Jimenjoyed betting somuch that he would bet on anything. As early as the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance. This day#39;s important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddha#39;s body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central Plains to the whole of China.Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets, attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. Guessing lantern riddlesis an essential part of the Festival.Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will get a little gift. The activity emerged during people#39;s enjoyment of lanterns in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also called the Yuanxiao Festival.Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar andedible oil as filling. Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with tuanyuan”, meaning reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the family. In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing fireworks and bright moon in the sky.吸引人的英语演讲有趣题目篇四1、Impact of Micro Blog2、Make the Internet Clean for Youths3、In Harmony with Nature4、The Online media’s Social Responsibilities5、Low-Carbon and Green Development6、My View on Overseas Trips7、Job Opportunities Are Lacked or Not?8、Dressing Up and Personal Charm9、A Teacher-centered Class or A Student-centered Class?10、On Overseas Study11、Reading Selectively or Extensively12、Quality Supervision and Problem Food Supply13、On-Line Shopping14、Advantages and Disadvantages of the Cell Phone15、Friendship and Cooperation16、Treat Guests in the Restaurant or at Home17、Public Transportation or Private Cars18、City Jams and Road Rules19、Expectation and Reality20、Language and Culture吸引人的英语演讲有趣题目篇五1、lessons of failure2、Keep swimming(Sink or Float)3、Value Every Minute4、Why mothers cry5、Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow6、The Smile behind The Tear7 Never, Never Give Up!8、A Mistake I will Never Repeat9、The Power of a Smile10、A Lesson For Life11、The meaning of life12、The greatest pain in life13、The Window14、Nothing to fear15、Beginning today英语主题演讲稿篇六At present, with the improvement of people#39;s living standard, more and more people go out to travel. However, while tourists enjoy the beautiful scenery, they also destroy it. There are many uncivilized behaviors, such as spitting, littering, and scribbling on walls and so on.Whether these behaviors are intentional or not, they have had a harmful influence on our cities, even on our country. For one thing, visitors would not be willing to come to the spot again owing to others#39; uncivil deeds, which is a strike to the development of the local tourism. For another, some uncivil phenomena directly lead to the damage to scenic spots that are of great value. To sum up, uncivilized behaviors have influenced a lot on the images of our cities and our country. Therefore,we need to take some actions to stop those uncivilized behaviors. The cities where we are living are our homes so that everybody should shoulder the responsibility to be civilized.。

What college education means to me

What college education means to me

What college education means to meWhat does college education mean? There are different answers to different people. To high school students, it is paradise. To parents, college education is their children’s way to good future. To some college professors, it is just a tool to make money. But to me, college education means important changes. These changes are my preparation for my life. The biggest change is my attitude to love. In my high school year, even in my first college year, I was badly attracted by love. Actually, I was not sure what love is, but I knew that love is holy. It makes one cry and laugh for another. It makes two live and die for each other. It is what our life is for. But now I come to realize that love is just a part of life. Love should not be above of life, but should be in out daily life. Love in the literature I had read is not the love in real life. In the real life, the loved two study, walk, eat. They have laughter, they have tears. They are just common people. Love is a kind of life, which makes me know much about love and life. The change of my attitude to love does not fade the love’s attraction; on the contrary, it makes me be eager to fulfill my life. To live meaningfully is the way. How can I do that, I do not know. Some peers are taking part-time jobs as tutors. Some are working in Student Union. I want neither. The question is bothering me. The anxiety urges me study hard, but sometimes it upset me. I don’t know what role I will play in thefuture. I am still concerned about that and I know it is not bad to me.I also begin to evaluate the importance of communication. My father always suggesting me talks with others frequently but I did not obey. Now I suddenly find I like a fool when I faced a person. I don’t know what to say. I even can’t find a topic with a classmate. Zhang has the best ability in my dorm I think. He once told me “from the conversation with others, you can get much useful information. More important, you can gradually create a relationship, which is important. Y ou should take much more practice.” I tried; my progress is not so good. These changes may be nothing to others, but it’s something to me. The college education is not only what we learn from books, but what we learn from life. A way to learn, a way to live.。

(laughter) and that'sa lot harder for me, because as honored as i am to be here with all ofyou right now, this is not my natural milieu.so i prepared for moments like these as best i could. i spent the lastyear practicing public speaking every chance i could get. and i call thismy “year of speaking dangerously.“ (laughter) and that actually helpeda lot. but i'll tell you, what helps even more is my sense, my belief,my hope that when it comes to our attitudes to introversion and to quietand to solitude, we truly are poised on the brink on dramatic change. imean, we are. and so i am going to leave you now with three calls for actionfor those who share this vision.number one: stop the madness for constant group work. just stop it.(laughter) thank you. (applause) and i want to be clear about what i'msaying, because i deeply believe our offices should be encouraging casual, chatty cafe-style types of interactions -- you know, the kind where peoplecome together and serendipitously have an exchange of ideas. that is great.it's great for introverts and it's great for extroverts. but we need muchmore privacy and much more freedom and much more autonomy at work. school, same thing. we need to be teaching kids to work together, for sure, butwe also need to be teaching them how to work on their own. this isespecially important for extroverted children too. they need to work ontheir own because that is where deep thought comes from in part.参加演讲比赛英语 (2) Good morning everyone, may I have your attention, please? books. i have a suitcase full of books. here's margaret atwood,“cat's eye.“ here's a novel by milan kundera. and here's “the guidefor the perplexed“ by maimonides. but these are not exactly my books.i brought these books with me because they were written by my grandfather'sfavorite authors.my grandfather was a rabbi and he was a widower who lived alone ina small apartment in brooklyn that was my favorite place in the world wheni was growing up, partly because it was filled with his very gentle, verycourtly presence and partly because it was filled with books. i meanliterally every table, every chair in this apartment had yielded itsoriginal function to now serve as a surface for swaying stacks of books.just like the rest of my family, my grandfather's favorite thing to doin the whole world was to read.but he also loved his congregation, and you could feel this love inthe sermons that he gave every week for the 62 years that he was a rabbi.he would takes the fruits of each week's reading and he would weave theseintricate tapestries of ancient and humanist thought. and people wouldcome from all over to hear him speak.but here's the thing about my grandfather. underneath this ceremonialrole, he was really modest and really introverted -- so much so that whenhe delivered these sermons, he had trouble making eye contact with thevery same congregation that he had been speaking to for 62 years. and evenaway from the podium, when you called him to say hello, he would oftenend the conversation prematurely for fear that he was taking up too muchof your time. but when he died at the age of 94, the police had to closedown the streets of his neighborhood to accommodate the crowd of peoplewho came out to mourn him. and so these days i try to learn from mygrandfather's example in my own way.参加演讲比赛英语 (5) What College Education Means to Methe title of my speech is “what college education means to me”.nowreflecting on the past two and half years of my college experience, i cometo realize how much it has shaped me.for me, college education is a marvelous ship-builder who designedme from kneel plates up.with great vision, college education has equipped me, first with apowerful propeller----the sophisticated knowledge in certain field andwide exposure to other disciplines. by dedicating myself to theengineering courses in the day and immersing myself in the rich banquetof the world literature at night, i’ve amassed the driving force for thefuture and enriched my soul.besides, college education has also provided me with a precisecompass----the sense of social responsibility. how can i best serve theinterest of the public while achieving my self-fulfillment? Directions:In about 150 words or so write a composition on the topic given focusing on the following two aspects:
1.Manyor the purpose of getting better employment prospects; Others believe college education means much more than just improving their job opportunities after graduation.
From my own perspective, all answers can be divided into two categories. Generally speaking, many undergraduates go to the university holding the purpose of getting better employment prospects. These people pay more attention to their future jobs as well as their wages, who just consider college education as a means of living. One the contrary, others believe college education means much more than just improving their job opportunities after graduation. That stands that they long for something they think important during college education. As an old saying goes, "there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes". Consequently, we can't tell which one is absolutely right. According to my mind, I prefer the second opinion. There is no doubt that college education brings us not only knowledge, but also necessary characters on the road to success, including perseverance, courage, optimism facing difficulties and so on.

What college education means to m1

What college education means to meWhat does college education mean? There are different answers to different people. To high school students, it is paradise. To parents, college education is their children’s way to good future. To some college professors, it is just a tool to make money. But to me, college education means important changes. These changes are my preparation for my life. The biggest change is my attitude to love. In my high school years, even in my first college year, I was badly attracted by love. In the real life, the loved two to study, walk, eat. They have laughter, they have tears. They are just common people. Love is a kind of life, which makes me know much about love and life. The change of my attitude to love does not fade the love’s attraction; on the contrary, it makes me be eager to fulfill my life. To live meaningfully is the way I choose. How can I do that, I do not know. Some peers are taking part-time jobs as tutors. Some are working in Student Union. I want neither. The question is bothering me. The anxiety urges me study hard, but sometimes it upset me. I don’t know what role Iwill play in the future. I am still concerned about that and I know it is not bad to me.I also begin to evaluate the importance of communication. My father always suggesting me talks with others frequently but I did not obey. Now I suddenly find I look like a fool when I face a person. I don’t know what to say. I even can’t find a topic with a classmate. Zhang has the best ability in my dorm I think. He once told me “from the conversation with others, you can get much useful information. More important, you can gradually create a relationship, which is important. You should take much more practice.” I tried; my progress is not so good. These changes may be nothing to others, but it’s something to me. The college education is not only what we learn from books, but what we learn from life. It is a way to learn, and it is a way to live.英语3 王东波。

What does college education mean to me

What does college education mean to me

What do college education mean to meAs a member of thousand millions of college students, an idea always haunts me----- why many high school graduates choose to go to college? And what do college education mean to them? I have no ideas about their answers, but I can tell you my understanding of college education.Generally, college is not a paradise of entertainment, but an institution of higher learning. For me, college is a palace of knowledge, whose function is to cultivate excellent persons for society. We can learn much more about unidentified fields by college education, which may make us out of a knowledgeable man. And the more we learn, the better for us to know the world, so we may get more chances to contribute to the development of our country and become a useful man.Today, the competition of job hunting is fierce; a college diploma has long been the ticket to a good job, which means that we have to improve both our capability and educational level. Only so, we can gain an edge in the competition. Therefore, we can see that a good college education is how important for making a living. As far as I am concerned, a good college education can help us live a better life. Thus,as a college student, we should cherish college life and make good use of our time to develop ourselves from different respects.。

While many people speak highly of its advantages, others see more disadvantages deriving from it.The advocates of tele-education give their arguments as follows. For one thing, tele-education makes it possible for people in remote areas to learn the subjects they are interested in. For another, people have a wider range of choices as to teachers and lessons through tele-education, because they can listen to the best lessons by the best teachers in the country, or even in the world.Just as “Every advantage has its disadvantages”, the opponents believe that not all the people have access to tele-education because many are poor. In addition, the students cannot contact teachers, but interpersonal relations are important to their study. As far as I am concerned, we should develop tele-education more rapidly to benefit more students. Meanwhile, we can design some programs to help teachers and students to contact eachother.Thank you for being with me.
